The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Our 3 children agree they should move &Rice to Wellington.... we will definitely be coming back next time we are in Rotorua. (Or maybe we will come back to Rotorua just for the food!)

Got the bento box lunch deal. For only $12 we got this huge meal, absolutely delicious and filling: Rice, teriyaki chicken, 3 types of salad, 4 sides (shout-out to the brocolis/cheese bites). You get your money worth!

This is my favourite Japanese canteen in Rotorua and I haven't been in many better in NZ! Udon noodles with battered prawns in soup, spicy tantan pork and also spicy teriyaki beef are my favourite dishes here but they also have bento boxes and lunch specials or teriyaki and curry for a set price. Choices in the cabinet of ready made sushi wraps and hot choices make this an excellent lunch choice ...

Brilliant Japanese takeaway. Lunch Bento was delicious, very generous portion and great value. Traditional flavour. Can't get any better than this.

Have recently discovered this lovely japanese eatery. Bento box is healthy lunch option with miso soup. Many other traditional japanese foods. All reasonably priced. What we like is the correctness of covid rules with scan and sanitizer at entrance. Well presented food and politeness of staff. Tables are sanitized after each use and lovely peacefully music whilst eating. A well run eatery worth trying.

I really enjoyed this food. Great customer service and top quality. The vibe was really calm and great. The wait time was very short and everything was high quality. Best food in Rltoroua, I highly reccomend.

And Rice Japanese Kitchen is my favourite place to eat in all of Rotorua. Their menu consists of delicious food that you would find in Japan for an affordable price (my personal favourites are tonkotsu ramen and pork gyoza). The staff are fast, friendly and very accommodating and provide an excellent level of service. I recommend this place to all my friends and family and they have all loved And Rice Japanese Kitchen.

I've eaten a lot of beef Udon in my time...this was a bit pricier than usual, but once I tasted it I understood why! Next level, amazingly tasty!! I wish this place was my local, I'd be there every week.

Before they opened this place, we quite often needed to make special trips to Hamilton or Auckland to satisfy our cravings for good Japanese meals, but now we are happy to have such a great variety of delicious Japanese meals available in their place!! Love all their food as well as the atmosphere:-)

Super good service! We ordered the special lunch set, takoyaki and the tonkotsu ramen. They were just awesome! The lady at the counter was very helpful to let us know about the special lunch set and even patiently direct us to the nearest public toilet when we asked.

How often do you find a place where you can get vegan ramen? It was so good! The staff were really sweet and friendly. And all of the items were so reasonably priced.

Very friendly and cute Japanese couple run this shop. My favorite one is Japanese style beef curry. But recently my friend recommended me to try Chicken katsu donburi. So I did. Oh how juicy the Chicken was😗 I may ask that Chicken katsu on the curry rice next time😆

Nice little restaurant owned by a lovely Japanese family. You can find them at Rotorua night market as well. This is the only place you can have a real Japanese ramen in Rotorua! Must try melting pork belly!(which is ramen and curry topping).

After a morning of exploring, children where hungry and requested Japanese. Came due to TA reviews and was not disappointed. Food was popping hot and fresh and so tasty. The mochi are hand made. They are very flavorful, get them! Otherwise, I was disappointed in the rice dishes actually. I liked more the vegetable based dishes (rolls).

My favourite meals are Tonkotsu Ramen, Hot Matcha Latte and Egg sushi. So yummy! I tried Shoyu Ramen which is new flavour of Ramen. Delicious and it reminds me Japan. You should try Tan Tan Ramen if you like it spicy.

We are regular visitors, always receive great service, and every time we have a hard time deciding what to choose because everything is so delicious! We often eat in (ramen and donburi), with side dishes, and take away onigiri for later as well. You'll be impressed!

We had yuzu ramen and udon that were very flavorful and delicious. Kudos to the chef from Japan. Onigiri was well made. Best I had outside of Japan.
