Food was soo delicious, all dishes had amazing flavor and even presentation of the food was great!
Bread starter was amazing!
T-bone steak as a sharing is a must try for two!

I'm very fair when it comes to my reviews and I don't say things negative lightly.
The fantastic food (5 out of 5) was let down by the appalling service.
The waitperson was really friendly, knew the menu and greeted us well. The issue was the timing. Not the pace of the food, but I ordered wine, which was forgotten. I also walked up to the bar to order another drink as the waitperson was obviously too busy. This may well be an under-staffing issue. The table next to us also walked to the bar to order drinks.
Covid 19 has been hard on the tourism industry and maybe the hotel is running at a lower staffing level than usual.
I'd definitely eat here again, and I will reiterate, the food was fantastic. I hope next time, there is more than 1 waitperson, as in my opinion that's all that is needed.

Food was AMAZING!!!!! Everyone at the table had something different and they all thoroughly enjoyed their meals and drinks. Kids meal was the perfect size and was really enjoyed by my 4yr old. Great experience. Definitely recommend!
J.Food is excellent at a high level but the service needs to be improved. They seem to have enough staff but are a little inattentive (often forgetting to top up the water and don't clear up the dishes, etc.).
G.Wait staff were great, food was good, but dinner was very expensive. Would not have gone there if we weren't staying at the hotel, & had a 50% discount. This brought the meal into normal range. If you're paying between $45 & $63 for a steak, you would think that you wouldn't need to pay for your vege's on top of the meat. At $14 for greens & same for fries, it was not good value.
J.Wasn't bad but wasn't amazing, got taken to our table and given menus but didn't get waitress turn up to the table to take iur order for half an hour but we ordered our meals and hot drinks and our meals turned up before hot drinks half my meal was cold but rest was hot but I ate it and when we got our drinks my coffee was warm and my partners was also lukewarm well probably wait for the traffic light to go to orange before we go back

Not a pleasant dining experience. Based on our experience, I will not be recommending "The Barrell Restaurant". A shame really. In my view, certainly not a 5 Star experience. Probably not more than 3 or 3+.

J.Lovely food and atmosphere. We had a group and all of the meals were beautifully presented. Great steak and the gnocchi was delicious. Some of the meals were really small for the price though. Would come here again and recommend it to others!
