Great service, informed us of current promos. (So we would get a value for our money) Scanned me in, brought our food to the table. Rosie was lovely, she is an asset to the team. Thank you Rosie, you put a smile on our faces and made our day.

The food was assembled great for an fast food outlet. Unfortunately part of my order wasn't included. I immediately walked back to the store to get it. I then after raising the attention of a staff member waited patiently for 5mins, before being addressed by another staff member, waiting again. And finally for a third time I think I dealt with who may have been the supervisor. After around 15 mins, I finally received my beverage and was on my way to my way back to my now luke warm meal.

Love it, this place is under rated. Only been a handful of times but will probably make it our new go-to. Food is great and they actually FILL your cup with COLD drink without ice! Choc sundae was yum, actually used proper icecream, not slushy milk.

Took 20 mins from ordering to get food. They made the shakes straight away so they were a melted mess by the time the food was ready. This was not even in peak time. They clearly prioritised drove thru orders. Disappointing.

Great Vegas has Carl's my boys and me love the chilli fried. Good meat portion on the fries didn't have to ask for Xtra. Unlike the stingy barstools in the Auckland franchise.

What a bad experience. Waiting time to get food 40 minutes (drive-thru). The burger was cold and when I got home I realized they charge us x3 burgers. I won't come back.

So we were hungry after our movie and it was late. There were places to stop and eat at, but even with the conversion rate being what it is, food is really expensive here in NZ. Things are double the cost sometimes than the USA. We stopped here, it was not busy. Employees singing with the songs playing in the restaurant. Our fries were hot, but they had an odd taste. Maybe old oil? Tasted more like onion rings than fries. The chicken tenders most were hot, did not look anything like the pictures. It was relatively quick and you didn't have to pay extra for sauces.

The staff is friendly and serving. Yeah, its a fast food chain with so much pressure yet they do well. Coming to food, always the best. Famous Star, Classic Carl, Original Angus, Western Bacon and Oreo Shake. Plus, the manager gave me discount. Thanks. Recommended.

I only ended up here because maccas was shut. It clearly is a step up on quality and you are also paying for it. Used to getting the double patty one next door and could hardly finish the Jr one. Would not have looked out of place on a plate in a restaurant. Quick service. It may take until the next time maccas are shut but at least I know I won't be disappointed.

Went in late Saturday afternoon, and while the food was good (much better than the one in Hamilton), the experience was let down by the dirty tables all around us. It didn't seem particularly busy either so I would have thought having a staff member clean them wouldn't have been that hard. Having said that, I would still return. Bonus points for table service.

Update 2018 - out for a drive in Tauranga and decided to go to Rotorua. Back at Carl's now. The hostess was just so nice and again the burgers were just the best. My big Carl with extra sauce was killer. 2015 - Great burgers. The customer service was excellent!

The Angus burgers were tasty, but a lot smaller than I had imagined. You have to keep an eye out for ordering a burger that specfically states that it has tomato and lettuce and other vegetables in it etc... otherwise you will most likely get meat with a whole lot of onions and source, which isn't a balanced meal.

I love CJ burgers. Best in the business👌 I had a bite every day of my last Visit to Rotorua. But one of the staff at counter there seem to be a bit rude guessing she was having a rough day. The burger compensates that though.😄 Also, the unlimited drinks they offer is way tempting to resist the combo. So, CJ at Rotorua is absolutely recommended.
