P.Great meal with the family. The best Mexican food we've had yet....all the dishes were fast, tasty, super generous and well presented. The staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. Never had to ask for water, always looking to help. Fed our teenage family of 5 for $152, including drinks, starters, mains and dessert. The best value ever....can't recommend them more highly....😊👍👍😁😁
l.Best Mexican food ever. Very friendly staff. I've tried many Mexican restaurant in NZ and this 8s absolutely the best. The Margarita is awesome, very good amount of tequila in it. Very authentic. If you are a Mexican food lover ,have to try this.

They were very generous portions, we ordered the chicken fajitas for us two, we didn’t finish it! We also ordered ceviche for entry and nachos. Good prices too.

H.First Mexican style Cafe I've tried since visiting Mexico that actually offers a menu similar to real Mexican food. Stuffed peppers... empanada... and tried their loaded fries....yum.
C.My husband and I had the most incredible lunch there last week. The margaritas were perfect, fresh tacos and guacamole! It was so good we had to book for dinner that night. The staff were so nice and super welcoming! I honestly felt like I was back in Mexico and I honestly can’t recommend them enough!!!
H.Just as we were questioning whether NZ has great Mexican food, Zapata Cantina comes through! We moved from California to Auckland 5 months ago and have been looking for our Mexican food fix. Turns out all it took was a drive to Rotorua! We came for dinner, enjoyed an outdoor table, conversation with the friendly staff, and great food. Highly recommend the shredded pork (moist, flavorful, and lean), guacamole, and any excuse to talk with owners/operators Tony and Christina. We look forward to returning.
