Best place for dumplings!!! Doesn’t look like much especially from the street but it’s a hidden gem. My MUST GO place when I drive past Rotorua for some really good authentic dumplings. Brought a few different international friends to try it and they all love it and said it’s the best dumpling they had. Owner lady is very lovely. Must support!

I was nervous that the noodles wouldn't be filling, but they were super hearty with really decent portion sizes. All four of us found them delicious! I haven't had takeaway dumplings in a while, and let me tell you, these ones are ten times better than the frozen ones from the supermarket 😅 We definitely plan on buying here again!

Chicken meatball noodle soup is to die for, the homemade noodles are so good. We also had the highly recommended pan fried chicken and prawn dumplings and the lovely mango juice. We would so much like you come here more frequently.

Have lived in Rotorua for nearly 6 years, the first restaurant appears in my head when I miss Taiwanese flavor! Visit at least twice per week, pork and prawn dumplings is my Favourite (either boiled or pan-fried). AND the handmade noodles is must try! Very fresh, I love all kind of noodles here! Do not miss out here when visiting Rotorua!

We stopped by for a late lunch after being informed of this place by our rafting guides. We were on the verge of closing time so we called up and asked if we would be able to get food after her closing time and she said yes. Although we were there when she was supposed to be closed before dinner we didn't feel rushed and was able to enjoy the drinks and meals. The menu isn't very big, but it does have a nice selection of dumplings. We grabbed a meal reach and shared come dumplings. I tried the vegan roti as it was the only item on the menu that didn't have meat. I was gutted that there wasn't a vegetarian noodle option. We also grabbed a few plates of dumplings to share. The roti was quite nice. Thin crispy bread filled with vegetables and a tasty sesame sauce. The dumplings were really good. We got the pan-fried ones and it had the crispy wings on it. This is a really nice place for tasty and cheap food.

This restaurant is standing true to its name as they really serve you fresh hand-pulled noodles. They only have a small menu which is not bad at all coz it means that you’ll be able to choose what to order quicker. I love almost everything on the menu, the only thing that I haven’t tried yet is there spaghetti. You’ll be able to choose if you wanted to have fried or steamed dumplings. Either way, it’s good. Nonetheless, my favourite is the chicken roti. It tasted like vacation in my mouth when having it. The restaurant is upstairs and not wheelchair accessible though yet you can get takeaways from them anyway. The owner is very friendly, (I always ask for extra spicy sauce from her when I visit.) I really recommend for you to visit this place especially during Thursday night market when you wanted dumplings and the queue is very long, then don’t hesitate to visit Fresh noodles in stead. 😊👍🏼

Love the pan fried dumplings. I don't eat beef and ordered the chicken noodles but the soup stock is also need stock. I could also taste that the boiled dumplings were boiled in beef stock which would have been better if they have boiled it in water instead. Husband and kids liked the beef noodle soup though. Drinks are expensive, the blueberries juice though said to be freshly made juice, we could taste there was bottled apple juice added to it. Service was great and always with a smile.

Was only in town for 2 days. It was so good I had to come back to try the other items on the menu. My favorite would be the beef noodle soup and prawn with chicken pan fried! The price is good too!! The naan bread was meh it was similar to a pita wrap. Their fruit drinks are so refreshing!

What this place lacks in decor, it more than makes up with delicious, authentic food served with a smile by the super friendly manager, Zissy. This place does only three things - dumplings (pan fried or steamed), noodles and roti but it succeeds in all of the things we tried. We had Juicy pan-fried pork and shrimp dumpling, steamed chicken and prawn dumpling and beef noodle. My favourite though was the pan fried dumpling. So crispy outside yet juicy inside.

We ordered Chicken Meatball Noodle Soup & Chicken & Prawn Dumplings (fried). The noodles are hand pulled, but looked so perfect! The lady serving us asked us to check if the soup was salted to taste and gave us the option to ask the chef to tweak it if need be (it was already perfect!). The meatballs were lean but juicy. The dumplings had super crunchy wings, and had some soupy flavour still in them (without any sogginess), bursting with flavour. We weren’t sure what to expect when we walked in, but the small (perfected!) menu offered the most delicious food that was great value, and we had the most attentive service. If we were local, we’d be coming back here all the time!! Highly recommend!

My experience at Fresh Noodles Rotorua was one I will always remember. Greeted straight away from a very excited FOH member. She made us feel welcome & right at home from the get-go. Now the food was absolutely amazing. My partner & I ordered beef noodle soup with pan fried pork & vege dumplings. The delicate, fragrant spicy broth packed some heat & warmed you up from the inside out, the beef was tender. The homemade noodles were the star of the dish. It brought the entire meal together as one. The pan fried dumplings were the best dumplings I've eaten, super crispy bottom & extremely juicy inside. Was a real treat to dine here with everything being homemade, next time I come up north I will need to visit again. Highly recommend.

If you're in Rotorua, you have no excuse why you shouldn't visit Fresh Noodles. We have been going to this place over the years and Fresh Noodles never disappoints. Their noodle options are to die for - hence the name. Their dumplings are probably the best dumplings you'll ever have. Me and my partner have not found any other place better than Fresh Noodles. Give it a try, give it a go, and I guarantee you'll be going to Fresh noodles for lunch or dinner everytime you're in the area.

Rather secluded hidden upstairs up a long flight of stairs. The shop furnished in a very minimalistic style and a rather dimly lighted. However service is very good. There is only 1 lady serving but she was quick, polite and very friendly. Service is also very fast. Noodles and dumplings are all very tasty and very reasonably priced.

There are myriad of dumpling shops in NZ but I am so pleased to pay the extra dollars for doing a pan fried version of the dumplings at Fresh Noodles. The soup for the noodles are nice bone marrow slow cooked; the freshly made noodles are great in texture and taste...and not to forget about the chili paste.... A hidden gem eatery not to be missed

Mrs asked for vege noodles and got a plate of dry noodles with some salad (lettuce and carrot) as owner does not yet have vege broth. Noodles still great. Just need Vege noodle soup option, we’ll visit again to eat and check next time in Rotorua.

A delightful experience here. The noodles is so smooth and yummy.. and very fresh and so are the dumplings. Ordered the mince chicken noodle, it’s 👍🏻. The owner, Chef is pleasant and proudly informs us that all the food is freshly home made daily, with no MSG.. highly recommended!

Very delicious dumplings. I had the pork and vegetable potstickers, which were so flavorful and juicy with a crispy fried base- I was definitely not expecting to find this food in Rotorua, but happy I did. Also, the lady that runs this place is super lovely. I will probably be back for more dumplings tomorrow. One thing to note: the homemade chili sauce is liquid fire, so maybe don’t pour half the jar over your food like I did.

Delightful little noodle shop. Wonderful soup noodles particularly on a cold and wet (summer?!) evening. Small menu, but they do them well. Had all 3 types of noodles: the stock is flavourful but not overly salty and most definitely didn't detect any msg. Noodles had excellent firm texture. We had the pan fried dumplings and they were very nicely done, juicy filling, the skin was crispy where it should be. Chatting with the owner, they make everything in the kitchen and take a lot of pride in producing quality food, at an affordable price. I would give no points for presentation but would highly recommend seeking it out for a casual, delicious and satisfying meal.

What a hidden gem! We almost got fooled by its unassuming appearance and didn't go in. The pan fried pork & veggie dumplings as well as the beef noodle soup were amazing. The beef noodle soup is northern Chinese style, with a lighter soup base. The noodles are true to the name - Fresh. The female owner is super friendly. Who would've thought Rotorua would have such an authentic Chinese restaurant.

Really nice little shop, delicious food, the blueberry juice was bomb, the noodles are traditional Chinese homemade noodles which are soft and have a little more body to them as opposed to Italian noodles. Their menu is small so easy to choose from, but their specials change so check out the board. If you want some authentic (but not too oily) Chinese noodles or dumplings you MUST come here!

The shop is upstair in case you cant see it from the street. Clean, modest, simple noodle shop with very friendly service. I ordered Chicken Noodle Soup, Beef Noodle Soup and Jasmine Tea. Noodle texture was perfextion, you can tell it was hand-pulled house made fresh noodle when you first chew it. I can say it was too delicious, so delicious that i almost forgot to eat the chicken meatballs. My husband also kept slurping untill all the noodles gone and just realised that the beef still there untouched. Jasmine tea came in a teapot that big enough to share, so we were suggested by the shop to only order one Jasmine tea.

So this place is kinda weird. It’s hard to spot from the street and it’s up a flight of stairs above another business. The inside looks like it was some sort of night club or something. We literally sat on a stage. The interior is cavernous with only a few seats. But don’t let appearances throw you off. This place is legit. Its run by a husband and wife. They’re open for only a few hours a day, 7 days a week. They make everything themselves from scratch. We had the beef noodle soup and the pork/veg dumplings. Flavour was on point for both. Broth was especially good in the soup. They have chilli sauce at the table that is spicy af - you’ve been warned. Go to town on it though cause heat is a rare treat in NZ. Service was excellent. The owner is possibly the sweetest person on Earth and she’ll make you smile from ear to ear. We were super stoked to find this spot in Rotorura and would definitely go back. 10/10 would recommend.

This is one of those special eating places that locals know about but tourists often miss out. Next door to the Quest Hotel, this little gem is on the first floor, up a long staircase. The simple one page menu lists noodles, dumplings and roti. The noodles are freshly made, so there may be a short wait - but they're worth the wait. If you've never had freshly prepared noodles then you're in for a treat! The dumplings are great, either steamed or fried. The chicken roti was a delightful fusion of flavours. Reasonable prices will undoubtedly have you coming back for more.

Service is very friendly. To find it you need to go to the corner of the street and then upstairs. Sign is only visible from one direction.

Cici and Peter do a great job here. Love their pan fried Prawn and Chicken Dumplings! Have tried their version of Chicken Roti - also delicious. You get some great exercise climbing the steps to the restaurant, which means you can indulge in some great food. Cici is always smiling and very attentive. Excellent and fresh dumplings, soup and mango juice (yes, 100% fresh !!). The choice is limited as everything is home-made, but as it's tasty it's perfect ! Only down point is that the restaurant is all inside, so you can't enjoy the outside during the sunny days. But the very nice and smiley waitress definitely makes up for it :)
