9/10. Highly recommended and I'll go back for sure. All pasta plates and the sauces are the best ones I've had in New Zealand for the last 9 years. Flavorful, rich, tasty and abundant portions. 10/10 Can't really judge the pizza as it was a Margherita for the kids. It was fine but nothing wooow. The calzone was 10/10. The crust, the sauce, the filling were amazing. The salad was served on a flat plate which it was not what we expected. Customer service was great. The gelato pretty decent too.

Beautiful little Italian restaurant, with the loveliest food, fantastic service and ambient atmosphere. We tried a number of dishes and they were all so delicious! Highly recommended. Kids options for some of the dishes as well, very child friendly. Prices are in the mid range but absolutely worth every penny, servings are generous. I'll most definitely be back!

This place is seriously good! We have a gluten-free vegan in the family and she had a number of delicious options without making any special requests. Our waitress Jade was warm and answered questions knowledgeably. We will be back again and again.

Probably the best restaurant I have come across in a long long time! Food was really, really good, service by young staff was accpetional, smiles and pleasant, light atmosphere made it a great experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone that respects good Italian food, the pasta is made in house with real eggs, the ragu was insane, pizza was great, my family said it was equal to my own, and as I have been a chef for 20 years and cook almost everyday for them. Rotorua was dead zone for food for us once but not anymore.

Had dinner here the other night with my family. We ordered the gnocchi, ravioli with butter sauce, carbonara and the 4 cheese pizza. Out of all 4 dishes the wood fired pizza was the best - loved the crust. The pasta dishes we tried were quite average for the price - From the previous reviews it seems quite over rated to be honest. However, the atmosphere is nice and the wait staff were helpful. I won't be in a hurry to return but it was an enjoyable meal overall.

This place is outstanding! We went there on Sunday night and loved it so much we went back Monday night too. Their food is superb. The pork belly was the best we have ever had. Ever!!!! They also have a very well thought out and extensive vegan and GF menu. So much fun going there for a GF vegan as the choices are extensive. Our waitress Jade was knowledgeable, friendly and super attentive and it wasn’t a quiet night. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re in rotavegas

Oh Giovanni's..it would have been 4 star easily if not for the letdowns in the booking system. Let's start with the good stuff: food was lovely. We started with a scrumptious garlic bread/pizza, then Caesar salad which was huge and delicious, pork belly, and creamy pastas which were rich but tasty. But...a year ago we had booked a table here and were told on arrival that we could only have the table for one hour. So we left. This time we came from Hamilton and had booked a table via email, receiving a confirmation so we thought, all sorted. We wanted to come back purely because we do love the food. I then phoned the restaurant 15 minutes before our booked time to let them know we were running about 10 minutes late. They told me: no problem. Unfortunately there was no sign of our booking anywhere! And this after just having phoned the restaurant, so I am not sure why they didn't check there and then what time our booking was for. The saving grace was the lovely staff who took my number and rang us when a table became available. In the end we only waited about 30 minutes. My problem is with the way bookings are handled, in our case, a little poorly. The food makes up for it, but it would be so nice to make a booking and then feel confident that it will be in the system and we don't get the table for a limited time only! All in all it has left us a little weary trying this place again. Although we did really appreciate the staff going out of their way to try and rectify the situation. Thumbs up for the staff!

Lovely little restaurant, with a family style ambience and decor, and very friendly wait staff, but the food was average for its price. I ordered the tagliatelle pasta with the Puttanesca sauce, it was a nice flavour profile, but far too many olives and capers for a single serving and drenched in olive oil, to the point there was a pool at the bottom of my plate. And my partner ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana, which was overcooked and burnt. Not terrible but not good either, especially for a $70 meal. P.S. it would have to be almost inedible or cold for us to ever complain to wait staff to bring another plate out. Experience was ok, but probably wouldn't come back in future.

So many delicious sounding dishes! Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options and they have a vegan menu with pasta and pizza, just ask for it 😍 the gnocci was superb.

Had a delivery meal. Absolutely wonderful pizza. However, Caesar salad was very poor. The chef needs to get out more and experience what a decent Caesar is like. Cos lettuce is NOT like ordinary supermarket lettuce. The bacon is NOT little chunks. The croutons are NOT big chunks of toast. There should be some caesar dressing ( not supermarket stuff). There should be some poached egg. And this salad is over $20!! All up, $60 plus (incl delivery) for a great pizza and a poor salad.

First time here and it was most enjoyable. The flavours were incredible and the wait time for both entree and main were not long at all, 10-15 mins tops. The mussels cooked in white white, garlic and pesto were absolutely mind-blowing. And the mains, steak and pork belly equally as delicious. Everything was fresh and flavoursome. The service was very good as well, as was the decor in the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Such a very cosy, inviting restaurant. Warm mood lighting inside, which makes it very intimate while having dinner. Alot to choose from the menu, and pricing is fairly moderate. Pizza was great! The pork belly we also had was amazing. Had dessert, Tiramasu and Mango, feijoa and salted Caramel Gelato was good also. Staff were so super friendly, down to earth and even joked around with us, which was very nice. If ordering wine, I recommend Trout Valley Nelson Pinot Gris!!!! Such a beautiful wine 😊

I had the Italian seafood pasta, so much flavour and plenty of mussels to enjoy. I didn’t manage to take a photo because I was so hungry haha. But it’s a good place to dine. Service was great, polite and fast. The atmosphere is relaxing which makes it easy to wind down after a long days work.

Our server was really nice, but not attentive. We were left waiting multiple times not knowing if we were supposed to go up to the counter or just wait for her to come to us. The pizza we ordered was fine, but the Nutella pizza for dessert was 100% not worth $20. There could not have been more than $2 of ingredients....Don’t waste your money.

The food, customer service and atmosphere were awesome! We had the gluten free 4 cheese pizza and it was the best gluten free pizza base around, the Hawaiian pizza on a regular base again it was outstanding and had a good amount of toppings. Also tried the gluten free pasta with mussels and prawns and that was also delicious and very flavorful. For dessert we had the gelato and it also was very good. Kids really enjoyed everything also. We are looking forward to our next visit to try some more of the pizzas and entrees. Very pleasant experience and highly recommend to everyone. 😋😁

We booked for 20 people when we were in Rotorua and we arrived early bought drinks and ordered. The food came out within 45 mins and all the pizzas that were ordered was only one size, large so you should share with someone. The Chicken Parmigiana was amazing. I recommend this restaurant if staying in Rotorua.

Great Italian style pizzas and friendly staff. Reminded me of Italy! Their pizza bases are very good and the perfect amount of ingredients on top. They don't drown the pizza with cheese and other toppings unlike some other places in nz.

My guests and I absolutely loved the food. We had entrees and was mains. Steak was awesome, and mussels to die for! The mushroom sauce on the steak was Bellissimo! First impressions are great, mostly due to the waiter named GIO, if that's how you spell his name. Very attentive to our requests and great customer service, and held our attention. After receiving our orders, the pizzas arrived with generous sized meats (Giovannis favourite) was the pizza, however wasn't cut properly and had to borrow the pizza cutter, as the large chunks of meat and cheese fell straight off. The drinking glasses served were water stained and not cleaned properly, I would've also imagined that the chefs would be wearing hair nets, none of the staff however were wearing them. Thank you GIO for the great service, would be nice if the chefs showed a smile, as they have an open kitchen.... Atmosphere and music was a nice touch though.

Whilst the restaurant itself may lack a little ambience, situated in a large shopping area looking out to a carpark, the food is first rate with a limited menu offering all the staple Italian dishes. The service was a little haphazard when we visited. We had to call the wait staff over on a few occasions but I think they were rather stretched. Well worth a visit for a casual meal.

If your going to eat Italian in New Zealand, do it here. While the chef is from India the food is authentically Italian. Fresh herbs and cheese address to the deliousness of the bubbley crust. Was greated with a dirty fork, literally still had cheese on it... First time I've been to a restaurant that didn't serve fizzy drinks (coke, Pepsi etc), pizza was good (awesome crust!) but unfortunately the ragu was very bland. Have deffently been to better itilain restaurants but this one was not terrible for New Zealand
