Most amazing curries and lovely people. We drive past as we were staying nearby. Googled and saw good reviews. Now we know why. The people are lovely. Best Indian food in Rotorua. If not one of the best in New Zealand. Delicious food, decent amount and good prices. We are seasonal workers and travelled through New Zealand a lot. Tried a lot of Indian food but this is definitely the best one we ever had. Really worth a visit if you love Indian food and you are in Rotorua.

My son reckons their Butter chicken is the best, so creamy. The chicken tika masala is so delicious you can't stop eating it until its all gone. Decent amounts of meat. Vegetarian range is amazing.

The food from Maharaja takeaways is worth going out of your way to get it, Mr Singh is a very experienced Chef of Indian foods, his curries have a very satisfying taste. A personal visit to Mt Singh’s restaurant will give you an experience of the charm of Old India.

The friendliest service in town!! I have dietary requirements and it can be super hard to find takeaway places who are willing / able to accommodate for me, but they really know what they're doing and they've even given me my own custom menu. 10/10.

Totally awesome takeaway - only found as I with friends from a different suburb of Rotorua ... It looks very ordinary from outside, the sort of place you might easily overlook BUT the food was as good as I've had any place in NZ and the onion bhaji's ... well, to me an OB is a good test, just like you might test a Euro chef by asking for an omellet and this chef makes a perfect OB ! Really enjoyed everything, entree OB, paneer based main course and a superb naan (to mop up the sauce) I'll be back next time I'm down in Rotovegas and I'll be shipping some extra back to Hamilton with me too ! :-)

I like this man who ownes his shop. He is nice His samosas are my favourite love his dipping sauce. His curry is on point love mango chicken. My husband loves his lamb saag. Prices are worth his cooking. Very humble man.
