A.The food is good, fresh, well prepared. Staffs are very helpful and knowledgable. I would recommend to order a couple of small dishes first with the drink before ordering your large dishes, as the wait for the main can be long (but it all worth it though).

A.Spicy and sweet at the same time! The layout of the spaces invites privacy. The cuisine is very relevant, although a bit expensive, in my opinion (but well worth). It would be preferable to reserve.
A.Came to this new restaurant with high expectation as recommended by 2 other friends, and was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and packed of flavours. Our absolute favourite was the fresh steam salmon in banana leaf and the fried chicken with sticky sauce.

S.Food was yummm my favorite is the Tuna Tataki and chicken with sticky sauce...sooooo yum however the Steamed shellfish was not very nice, felt like old shellfish and some tasted really awful, this was the only meal that we didnt enjoy. Very good range of fresh ingredients. The shellfish in lemongrass broth was the highlight of the meal. It actually paired pefectly with the green chilli sauce came with the calamari dish, their should make that an option.

L.A colleague and I went on Mekong Buffalo's opening night, 10 minutes after the doors open, we loved it. Super welcoming attentive staff, lovely decor, outstanding menu which sets a new benchmark in Rotorua for our Asian eateries. Trying to decide what to have was difficult as everything on the menu looked fantastic and quite different - luckily you get to try lots of things as the menu is designed to share. We ordered 5 dishes in the end, the mussels were a stand out as were the dumplings, the crispy pancakes - the pickled veges were yum! The matcha creme brulee (DF, GF, V) was also on point. We also really enjoyed our cocktails. I'll definitely will be back, Mekong Buffalo delivers a unique experience to Rotorua, especially with its ambiance and Asian fusion menu (the latter is a grateful addition to Rotorua's dining scene). Tip, for two people order 2-3 small plates and two big plates.

M.Just amazing. Fresh seasonal vegetable was used. The salmon wrap in banana tasted so fresh. I don't like my seafoods overly seasoned or too oilly, so their way of cooking the fish is just perfect for me. Enjoy it so much with my great glass of sauv. 10/10, will be back.

A.The place is very pleasant. Excellent fusion. The setting is pleasant, zen and uncluttered. The dishes are excellent, whether it is the lok lak beef or the starter with raw wasabi infused fish. The dishes are well presented.
R.First time here, it was recommended to us and the reviews are good too. Really friendly and excellent customer service. We stayed later than everyone and we didn't feel rushed at all.
Dumplings - Really flavourful and the sticky sauce was nice too.
Garlic bread - good balance of butter and garlic.
Pork belly - good flavors, not crispy, moist and well marinated.
Crab Pad Pong - didn't actually expect crab lol I didn't eat a lot but my friend loved it. She also loves seafood so probably good for seafood lovers.
Sticky Soy chicken - crispy & sticky soy sauce tasted good.
Buttermilk chicken - just like crispy chicken, yum.
Spicy chicken - crispy and quite mild, not really spicy but still yummy.
M.One of the best Asian restaurants in Rotorua. Must come here if you like Korean Fried chicken with sticky sauces. Their also have CASS beer here as well, felt more korean than some other Korean places in town.
