By Far the best place to dine out in Russell. We tried a few places during our stay and Seaside trumped them all. The staff were so friendly and service was great. We went there 3 times and couldn't fault them. Food was amazing! Highly recommend 👌

Service 5 star The bartender and waitress treated us with courtesy and kindness. A group of friend and myself brought fresh catch fish and asked them to make it into fish and chips for us. The waitress talked to the manager and they did it with reasonable price and great flavor. Food 5 star Pasta is great.

This place has delicious food and stunning views of Russell wharf and the bay. The staff is very welcoming and they really care and love their product and place. Had dinner and brunch at this place and would 100% come back.

Great friendly service, fantastic food...its all about the food! Beautifully presented & deliciously tasty & flavoursome. We had five entrees, absolutely impressed with the portion sizes for the price! Wish I'd taken more photos instead of videos. Definitely returning tomorrow.

Stunning location and lovely service. The menu is so varied but the food we ordered was delicious, well presented and generous across the board. We had initially wanted to splash out on Duke of Marlborough hotel but the terrible service thankfully out us off and allowed us to try out this gem instead. Thanks so much!

Excellent local restaurant on the waterfront. Wide ranging menu for different tastes and budgets. Seafood chowder with garlic toast is thoughtfully presented and deliciously unique, the best I’ve ever tasted. Family of 6 all happy with their range of meals.

Stopped in with the family for a coffee and breakfast. Wasn’t disappointing at all. Coffee was great, and the food was delicious. Beautiful on the plate, and tasted as good as it looked. Highly recommend this place. Service is also friendly and professional. The location is perfect!

Best ever breakfast I ever had in New Zealand as I love to explore places. I ordered veg bowl and waffles..can not forget the taste of veg bowl. Definitely going back to have it soon. I wish could give them 10 stars for everything but 5 stars for sure.😍😍🙂

The food here was good and the service was OK even though it was a busy lunch time. Its a real shame that the traffic light protocols don't seem to matter much here. There wasn't any checking of vaccination passports or making sure that guests arriving were wearing masks until being seated.

Probably the best cafe/restaurant in russell, food came out very quick and was apsoluting amazing. This restaurant has a huge selection of foods and drinks. I highly recomend this place

We've ordered Korean style Chicken, and Tiger prawns. The price we paid doesn't meet the quantity and quality of food. Prawns comes 5 pieces with a sauce only, cost $22. I think Seaside has best location in Russel, but the taste, price and location are all important.

Hidden gem of Russell, loved the lamb shank and the cocktail. Ambience is fabulous and the staff are super friendly.. if you are visiting Russell dont miss this place.

Highly recommended considering it was Easter weekend and the amount of whanau out and about the 20-25 minutes wait for our food was well worth it. The staff were very polite and accommodating.

We were 2 couples and we had both lunch and dinner at Seaside. The food was terrific - we had 8 different dishes between us. It was fresh, well prepared and served by very nice staff. We sat outside for lunch and its hard to find a better place. At night we went inside and could still enjoy the sunset ovee the water.

We had previously only visited the well known restaurants and cafes in Russell, but thought we would give Seaside a go when they were serving takeaways during Level 3. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food. Yesterday we went there for our third time and were once again very happy. Every time I have the seafood chowder which is excellent and yesterday I had the cheese burger which was very good. These guys have an excellent location with very nice food at reasonable prices. We'll keep going back.

A must visit! They have quite a variety on their menu. The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. Just like the name suggests, relax and enjoy with stunning seaside view.

We had a first table reservation for dinner last night and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic, really great seafood! The pasta and rack of lamb were to die for and they do a really good espresso martini! The service was excellent and the people so friendly you almost feel like they are old friends. We'll be dining here again.

Great location, brilliant service plus delicious food. We had fish and chips and Southern fried chicken burger; both were presented in an appealing manner and tasted just fine... Staff are very hospitable and friendly... A must come back in our next trip to Russell and highly recommend their fine service too 👌

Me and my husband came for lunch at this lovely restaurant by the wharf. We ordered Fish n Chips and they were cooked really well. Fish was absolutely fresh and the coffee was real good. Highly recommended for seafood lovers.

Great eatery / coffee shop on the beach front. Great service and very friendly staff. We had the Seafood Chowder with a King Prawn and Toasted Garlic Bread, Great meal. We had a coffee frappe and a lime and sparkling water to drink. An overall Great experience. Service was excellent and our drinks were brought out quickly, which is great. Very highly recommend to all future customers, will definitely be back in the future.

Great place for a tasty meal. Fish burgers were superb. Buns grilled to perfection with a slight smokey edge... Yummm. All the trimmings were in the right configuration and the fish pieces delicious. Even though it was very busy the staff was very friendly and polite. Waiting time was a bit long but we didn't mind. On a sunny day with a beer in hand, watching people ambling past at the Strand: it couldn't get much better. Go there and shout them a smile, they deserve it.

The beach and perfect morning coffee is how the day begins at Seaside cafe, add to it super friendly and warm staff. Fabulous sunsets with great cocktails and fresh seafood especially the chowder. Looking for a quick lunch to get to your ferry their burgers, calamari and southern fried chicken are the real deal.

Great location, great food, great service. Fish taco starter was very generous, polenta chips were the best we've had, garlic prawns were huge and delicious. Had salmon for main and it was cooked perfectly, not under or over done and the sauce was delectable. Burgers got good feedback from our dining partners. All this and cracking cocktails. Highly recommended.

Just went out to lunch three of us. Everything was delicious real value for money. We had two steak burgers and one cheeseburger all gluten-free. Bali was the server really friendly guy wonderful service. Best place inRussell or Bay of Islands to go for lunch or dinner or breakfast. Would definitely recommend getting the steak burger you will not regret it. Bali & Cush are both wonderful gentleman and made our visit very enjoyable thank you to all the staff there and the chef will be back.

Great location and spacious restaurant. A good selection of dishes and cocktails. I had a Cosmopolitan, the Mrs. Russell and the white chocolate brûlée which were nice. The service and decor could be improved upon. Staff are well meaning and friendly but could probably do with more hospitality training.

Excellent food. We weren't sure when we went in as the decor is pretty average but the food was exceptional and the person serving us was very pleasant. We had 5 different meals and they were all outstanding. Highly recommend.

Hello We re a crew on a boat. We had lunch there 3 times. I had the calamari the chicken wings the tacos and the steak burgers with extra cheese Seriously if you go there ask the steak burger with extra cheese after the second days we were all in love with it Thanks a lot again
