G.Lovely inviting atmosphere and delicious food. I had the breakfast and John had the omelette. Mine was so good I started before I photographed it. Really good and the omelette was the lightest we’ve ever had. Great coffee excellent service and a serene outlook. And thank goodness that awful impatient person who can’t wait for octogenarians to order wasn’t here.

M.We are lucky to have a cafe/restaurant like Bayside in our neighbourhood. We enjoyed a delicious brunch there this week. The Caesar Salad with Chicken and the Avocado and Feta whip were great.. It is often our coffee stop when we are in the area. Every visit we have had the most pleasant staff. So thank you for your hard work people. We love spot!
B.Great coffee, really nice hot chocolate and the various dishes eaten by our small group were all quite lovely. Recommend the seafood basket - good value and delicious. Staff were polite and friendly and you could not ask for a better setting - right on the beach 😉
I.What a fabulous place. Best eggs Benedict I've ever had with delicious home-made hash browns to die for! Very filling, ate far too much :)

S.Four of us dined last night. In summary, the service was outstanding and so was the food.
We started with the seafood platter and the steamed mussels both of which were excellent with great flavours.
As regards the mains, the Lamb shank and the Pork belly scored 9/10 whilst the Beef Wellington and Chicken Parmigiana were very good at 7/10. Beef was not quite as rare as we would have liked but that’s easy to fix.
For dessert we chose the specials of the night which were crème brûlée and Bayleys cheesecake neither of which we could rate at less than 9/10
All in an excellent experience made better by competent and committed staff.
We will be back soon 😀

R.Great views, cool place, nice people, yummy food. I wish you improve a bit on the art of flat white...it is ok, but missing a bit of good coffee character, just make it a bit stronger (or you may change the supplier?) and you will be fine :)
T.The Cafe was very busy when we called in for breakfast. Although they have no competition the service was excellent and so was the food. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

L.I went for lunch with a friend. We both ordered creamy mushrooms. Mine was very nice and tasty but there was a difference in the size of both our dishes. Mine being larger and with more sauce. None of the staff in the kitchen wore masks, unless under your chin counts. Was disappointed.
N.Have been waiting for this place to open and it was worth it. Nicely appointed with lovely view of Snells Beach. Helpful, friendly staff and a good, quite fancy menu (think Ponsonby or Parnell). Worth a visit. Great range of different types of ice cream flavours. Looking forward to checking those out too.

M.Were in the area and wanted some lunch so decided to give them a try. They were very busy but we found a table. Some great choices on the menu and from the cabinet, including a good selection of vegetarian options for my partner. Despite the crowd the service was quick and friendly and the food delicious. I would have given 5 stars but they got the coffee order wrong. However they did sort it without fuss.

R.Lovely food. We complete from pastry down to dessert. My partner had the mushroom and pumpkin with bluecheese and it was amazing, I had scramble egg with salmon and brie cheese ohhh interesting... I find the ice cream name so fancy like fergalicious (that we had -its the pineapple and chocolate) then sunkiss (with gingerbeer?). Holly how good it was mmm mm👍👍👍

However... There is no access from the side deck customers jumping around the pot plants and on and off but it's a fire exit weird..
Then the fire instruction written on a bit of paper stuck on the wall looks amateurish
The pot plants inside are dead and wilting get them gone the place is getting cluttered minimalist is better
Fly's on outside tables drove us and other patrons inside wasps on the deck rails
The tables outside need to be cleaned properly between customers not a dirty wipe down
Will I go again yes I will off season just to see if above is better
K.This beachfront Cafe has super friendly helpful staff. Coffee is great and I highly recommend a visit thete if you are in the area. Haven't tried dinner thete yet but can't wait.....

J.Great local cafe that goes that extra mile, and a great location. Breakfast was delicious, made by a chef while you wait; and they have freshly squeezed juice. Wish we lived here so it could be our local, but it’s a long way to come from Australia. Hope they have great success with their business. 🤗
R.Gets a bit windy out, but they provide blankets which are a nice touch. Good salad but the service was a bit hit and miss...some very efficient staff, but maybe not let the newbie on the till or the customers just yet!

Bayside Bistro is NOT the business that was the subject of the recent Stuff article. The article was a report on the ERA findings about the PREVIOUS owners of a Bayside Eatery. WE own three cafes, are fair employers and are union members ourselves. Please be careful with your comments about an unrelated business and different people.
B.Beautiful service, stunning views across Snells Bay to Kauwau Island. Popped in for cold drink only but menu and cake cabinet looked great.
E.Great quality meal we enjoyed rack of lamb and an amazing mushrooms in sauce with blue cheese. Staff are friendly and if you can fit in desert it is well worth it
J.What a spot! Right on Snells Beach, this great little cafe (and bar!) has it all - excellent menu, great service and a beach setting that's pure kiwiana.
S.Went with a friend to the newly opened Bayside & had a nice experience three times now. Would prefer the food served with the beverages, muffin heated & served with yoghurt, fork etc but generally very good.
S.Lovely spot by the beach and the recent change of ownership has made a great difference compared to my last visit. Lovely food and great to be able to have a wine or beer with your Sunday lunch.

M.Bayside is beautifully designed with a fabulous beachfront view of Kawau island. I had one of the best Americano coffees I have had, which was served in a large cup with a side jug of hot water. The service was fast and attentive, considering that the place was reasonably full for a Tuesday lunchtime. My only disappointment was the $20 Omelette, which was served on a tiny side plate with a scattering of wafer thin Salami and a small handful of salad leaves on top. I would have expected some bread or something more substantial for the price, considering this was served as a lunchtime main course item.

J.Lovely friendly service, great coffee and Earl Grey Tea. Cabinet food looked great however they don't have any Gluten /Wheat Free items. (Even if they were bought/brought in? Doesn't HAVE to cater to coeliacs - just no wheat...) Brunch menu looks lovely but limited. Needs some seafood, eg: salt and pepper calamari, and one or two more substantial things like eggs benedict, eggs on toast, and basic 'Big Breakfast'. Some would say that's ho-hum but is what people want. A lovely beach side find.
