Reviews of Colonel Malone's Restaurant & Bar
R.I'm currently sitting here enjoying an amazing beef burger, the atmosphere out by the big windows let in a much welcomed breeze. The salt and pepper squid was delicious as was the prawn cocktail. I'm looking at the big breakfast across the table from me wishing I had two stomachs so I could eat that next. The staff are incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Mocktails for $6! Delicious.

Lamb shank 4/5 veges were a little too hard for my liking, but I ate them.
Apple pie 4/5 I ordered this because it said it had candied bacon crumb but I was a bit disappointed it wasn't more and I didn't really get a bacon flavour.
A.As a vegetarian who sometimes struggles to find tasty food when dining out, I highly recommended the stuffed red pepper! It was super tasty and i wish i lived here so I can eat it again lol. Even my meat eating partner rated it highly! He tells me the lamb shank was pretty good too!
C.Stopped over for a quick lunch and we had a great time. Surprisingly affordable menu, not overly priced. And the portions were generous. The bar had comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Unlikely we will be back as we were just traveling along but this place is a gem in this small town.

Food was superb, large menu, we will definitely return when next visiting!

M.Lovely ambience to this place. Staff ate very helpful couldn't ask for more. We were visiting family for the long weekend we came from Te kauwhata. Will certainly be going there again.
