The most amazing vegan food in Taupo! The vegan fish & chips tasted just like the real deal and the desert and view were also A++! Jas was also lovely and provided excellent customer service.

The best vegan food! Was surprised how much we loved this spot. We went on Thursday night and the waiter was amazing, so friendly and helpful to my friend who is gluten free. The spot is perfect, over looking the lake! There is even an outdoor area. We will definitely be back 🌞

Had the most amazing food and drinks here. They have one of the largest selections of beers and ciders and their food was delicious. Their pork belly was hands down the best meal of the evening but all the dishes we tried were great. Will definitely return.

Had a lovely meal here last night. The pork belly was the best I have ever had. Really yummy cocktails as well. But the best thing about this place is the service. Just amazing.

We went there based on reviews that there were vegan options and I saw that there was plenty for all types of diets and would please all our group. It exceeded our expectations. Jas, the manager was friendly and gave us the best service complete with a view of the lake. Normally I am used to vegan options being a watered down version of other items ( take out the dairy, cheese etc) but I was delighted to see proper “made for vegan” choices for starters, mains and desserts. For the non-vegans at our table, my parents enjoyed the pork belly ( sous vide and seared with delicious spices) and my son, the fried chicken. My husband loved his vegan lentil burger. I had the vegan croquettes - exquisite! The desserts including a vegan rhubarb tart and a sticky date pudding were lovely! There was a good selection of decent cocktails, beers and wines to complement the food. I could not fault anything, think it suits groups with varying palates and will definitely come back. I felt like we were in the best kept secret restaurant in Taupo for those in the know. Thank you Jas!

The view of the restaurant was great however the inner temperature was low. The food was just so-so. Pork belly too hard and can't chew easily. Market fish was really not recommend, the salmon was small piece size and not worth the price at all. It tasted like nothing and the vegetable came with the dish felt not super fresh. Tea was good and so was beer.

Wow. Went here for dinner tonight great service we had 4 platters between us girls and the pick was the beef and pork belly with a close third of the squid. Cocktails are delicious and the price was surprisingly good. Will be back.

The vegan Burger was great! Nevermind it's small size, it's heavy & filling & tastes great. Excellent friendly helpful staff, a lovely environment. The only thing I would have changed is to have dimmer lighting.

We have travelled the world but found the best food and coffee here in the backyard of Taupo at Social Club while on holiday. On top of the food is the amazing service by the staff especially Jas the restaurant manager. Unique experience to feel so welcome and warmly greeted in the morning. No.1 service! Made us stay longer at the lodge and in Taupo. We and especially our kids look forward to catching up with Jas on all our future visits to Taupo, we will by hundred percent be back! Thank you guys!!

Was very excited about trying something new. Unfortunately, the menu on the official website is very different from the restaurants menu. It lists tacos that we unavailable at the restaurant, same goes for some vegetarian options. I am not a vegetarian but like to try things that I cannot get anywhere else. I ended up having the seafood chowder, which was nice. Caesar salads were HUGE. Dessert was ok (Aztec Goddess), definitely something I haven't had before. Very filling and not too sweet. Glass of wine was generous compared to most other restaurants in town! This and the amazing view will make me come back for sure!

Great selection of craft beer and wine. View of the Lake is amazing. We didn't have anything to eat, but there's lots of gluten and dairy free options. Will definitely be back. Thanks for the great service too!

Great restaurant and would definitely go back. The service was great, I had the caesar salad, which was one of the best I've tried, and my husband had the filet mignon and said was probably one of the most tender cuts of beef he's ever had. We loved our meal and paired with the stunning view and great live music we had an awesome time.

Staff are awesome and friendly, good pkace to stop for a drink or a bite and relax with the Taupo view!

Fantastic little restaurant with stunning views of the lake and Mount Ruapehu beyond. Owner Dion, Chef Marcus and Mandeep were most accommodating in cooking our trout caught earlier on our fishing trip. Great menu with truly mouth-watering desserts. Thank you Dion, Marcus and Mandeep.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday when we were staying at the motel for a night. The food was extremely yummy and staff were lovely and friendly will definitely come again also had a beautiful lake front view.

Called in for drink whilst passing on way into Town and ended up staying longer than planned and also went back next day. Good staff and happy hour 3pm to 6pm so good value highly recommended 👌
