Our coffee was very fast, and yummy. Both egg Benedict were delicious. However the Millennial breakfast was filled with coriander and this not stated on the menu. As someone who does not like coriander I would have like to have known this as I wouldn’t have ordered it otherwise. I would recommend that this be added to the menu in the future. Thank you.

Good environment with beautiful decor. Went there with friends and ordered something to eat. And all of them like it. The food are well presentable and delicious. Portion is not bad and the price is moderate to what i think slight pricey. Staffs are really friendly and the waitress took her time and explained whats on the menu. Really appreciated and having a wonderful the dine in brunch experience.

Looking for a cafe on a Saturday, so came here, from the outside - I was unsure i picked the right place, its in a commercial area, at a bank, so not feeling hopeful. But the moment we stepped inside everything came up roses! Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious food, like absolutely delightful. Amazing range. Heaps of gluten free options that taste good! Great little space for kids too if you decide to bring one of those along with you (I left mine at home for some well deserved peace and quiet - lol) Next time we are in Tauranga - we will come back here for sure!!

I have been here only once for work lunch. Food was great. Fresh squeezed juice was nice. But desserts...I can't recommend. It was very sweet even I am a sweet tooth. But food is pretty recommended =) Just think about parking. The parking fee was pretty expensive as much as Auckland.

Stopped here on New Years day for a coffee hit. Coffee wasn't bad, but wasn't good so would have given a 3.5 rating if it was possible. Nice open cafe though and staff were friendly- could be a great cafe if only they got their coffee right

Discovered this large, bright, modern, cafe. Love the decor and the attentive waiting staff. No getting orders wrong here, very efficient and friendly without invading your dining experience. Tried the sunshine poached egg dish, it was full of flavour with avocado, feta accompaniments, very nice. My partner tried the mushroom dish, it was full of flavour also. The freshly squeezed apple juice was beautiful. Seating available inside and outside under cover. There was plenty of mobility toilets and parking behind the cafe and in the side street.

The food here is good but the menu never appears to change. Yet, this cafe provides what locals want. It is in an odd location and has minimal signage; so it is easily overlooked. The staff are efficient, friendly, and knew the cafe had been open for 6 years and has had 2 previous owners. Recommended for group brunches. I've been eating here since it opened. Great street views.

Came here for Lunch with Mum and Dad, customer service was friendly and efficient and the meals were brought out very quick. Food was tasty, especially the chik Burger :) First time at this Cafe and it did not dissapoint!

Nice upmarket premises with excellent parking on the weekend. Wait staff were great. Had a big breakfast and a French Toast, both were very good and lots of other interesting items on the menu including lunch choices. Kokako Coffee was well made. Had a bit of a wait for our meals as did others around us who were commenting on that. It was busy when we arrived but quietened down almost immediately so not sure why the delay. Would have given 5 stars but for the wait, it's a really nice cafe. On reflection, worth the wait and I would return when next in the area :-)

It is nice, fancy place, with very beautiful, stylish interior design, open kitchen, and space for kids. There are also ketogenic food options available as well as Gluten free. It is a nice place indeed however I think the price is too high for the food that they serve. It doesn't worth this much, to be honest, it is not a good value.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The big brekkie was the best one I’ve had in a long time, full of flavour and cooked beautifully.

The cafe and staff are great. It's upscale, clean and a good place to bring clients etc. The food was on the lacking side though. I got an eggs Benedict which tasted ok but wasn't presented as nice as you would expect from this style of cafe. The coffee was good.

Nice open plan cafe, very prompt service with hardly any wait for the meals to come to the table, when compared to other cafes around town. The staff were efficient without being brusk. Pricing on par with other cafes. The location is on the corner of one Taurangas busier intersections and gives a new perspective on the town.

We had a lovely meal, kind waitress put our order in quickly and we got our food in good time, despite it being very busy. Both of us enjoyed our meals - thank you. We often come here on special occasions as it is a very wonderful Cafe for a treat. However, from our seats outside we noticed that in the kitchen, a kitchen hand was repeatedly licking her fingers and eating the food as she was preparing it. This happened several times, and we feel like this needs to be addressed. It's a shame as we do love this Cafe, but we think that the hygiene of staff preparing food could be improved.

I love this place. The service is always great and fast. They have such delicious smoothies and the coffee is always on point. Clean, spacious and beauty decor. Also must add that they dish up the BEST EGGS BENEDICT IN THE BAY! Can't wait to go back!

We had a lovely friendly waitress and enjoyed a beautiful big brekkie. Highly recommend! Also great coffee! We are regular visitors and have never been disappointed. Friendly staff, good food, quick service and fantastic coffee. Highly recommend for anybody looking for brunch in the city centre. nice

We had an amazing brunch here last weekend. We had perfect chips and eggs. Ans the DF GF Budda Bowl which they were happy to swap the tofu for eggs. Even the rice was beautifuly seasoned. Really great Coffee too which lots of different milk options. Excellent service and value for money. Definitely would recommend and we will be back!

Very nice cabinet food selection and also breakfast and lunch menu options. We ordered Asian inspired chicken burger and a Squid dish. Really well presented and flavorsome.

Expensive menu for what we got. Iced mocha was rudely overpriced, and portions were small. Eggs bene was good, perfect cooked eggs and best hash browns but the keto fritters were dry and lacked flavour and needed twice as much of the plate. The upside to this dish was the large about of sauce. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Wow! We had the keto waffles and they were amazing. The quality of the food and the care with which it was cooked was very evident, so I highly recommend a visit. Not cheap but absolutely worth every penny. Great coffee too!

Elizabeth has a welcoming and open atmosphere, and we were greeted with a smile. The beer was well poured and the coffee was excellent, of course. Service was friendly but unintrusive. All our meals were all excellent. As a chef myself, I was delighted to get such high quality food. My burger was wonderfully juicy and stuffed with mouthwatering extras- rich and flavorful cut with sharp pickles and a beetroot relish. The fries were cooked to perfection- fluffy clouds with a glass-like exterior and no trace of dirty cooking oil flavor. My mother had the squid/calamari which she said was amazing, and my sister's keto pancake stack was equally fantastic, loaded with halloumi cheese and all sorts of goodies. This is certainly a cafe I will return to, and highly recommend. The chefs deserve a cold beer and quite possibly a pay rise!

My friend and I decided to head to the mount for the day and decided to grab lunch at Elizabeth Cafe & Larder in Tauranga because they have kept options. It was honestly the most delicious keto meal I have had! My friend had the calamari & was super happy with her meal. The girls were super lovely and very inviting. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone!

Beautiful cafe, great menu with some interesting takes on the classics. Definitely worth a visit.

There was a lot of hype and expectations going to eat here. Unfortunately thats where the excitement ended. Plainly put - the food and drinks are overpriced for what they are. If I had to try sell this place to someone I would say "Nice eggs bene".

The best eggs ever,anywhere,and the coffee was first class

I went to Elizabeth Cafe & Larder because it was central and had ample carparking behind the building. When I went inside the decor was modern and clean and had a great atmosphere. The menu looked delicious and I found it hard to just choose one item. The French toast was delicious and was generous in size. I ordered a vanilla iced latte which was perfect and I couldn’t help but choose one of their raw cabinet treats to takeaway with me on my way out. Will definitely be back for seconds!

Visited for lunch today. Service at the counter was good, quick and polite. 3 coffees ordered, 2 delivered to our table and 4 minutes later the very simple long black arrived. Both the flat white and moca were filled half mast which might seem picky but they should be filled to the top of the cups. We ordered cabinet food which was all very tasty and good value (well priced). The waitress however was blunt, insisted the beef pie was chicken and seemed to only be able to carry two plates at a time. The chicken, I mean beef, pie and frittata arrived and then she delivered food to another table, then she delivered the rest of meal to our table. I would probably return and hope for more friendly wait staff.

Nice food, great coffee, friendly staff

We've mostly met for coffee & a bite and the sweet treats always look very decadent. Can get very noisy but outside has lovely seating as well.The flavours work well together and the portions are very generous for the price. Good food, excellent service, nice ambience and conveniently located with excellent nearby parking options.

Loved this place to bits. Lovely decor and one of the best breakfast ever. Corn fritters were delish.

Friendly prompt service with fresh local food.

Went here for late breakfast and everything was well presented and tasty. We had a combination of dukkah eggs, Bacon Bernie, Rostis, Eggs Benedict, English Breakfast and a Savoury Muffin. Our drinks were varied, hot and cold. An excellent experience enjoyed by all 6 of us. Would definitely come again. The place was very busy but we were happy to sit outside.

We're loving the refreshed Elizabeth. The range of cabinet food is great (specially the bounty bar). Its nice to have healthy salads/whole grains back and vegan options on the menu. The staff are really friendly, even during the coffee rush, and the coffee is great.

All in all this was a great night. From the warm welcome from the owner himself to the great service from the owners and their staff and the fabulous food. Highly recommend.The atmosphere and welcome from the owner was warm and inviting. We were a party of three service was prompt, courteous,and helpful. We chose three separate dishes for our mains.

Amongst the great cafés in Tauranga this is one of the best. Very accommodating to people with food allergies. The only downside is that it closes quite early, and parking can be a issue.

Excellent meal. The kids menu is well sized and healthy-ish without putting the kids off. I had the fish taco which was delicious. Full of flavour. Great atmosphere. Could do with a fold our baby change table in the bathroom though

I went on the day after this cafe had just won Best Cafe in New Zealand in 2015 so the staff were very upbeat. Service was excellent and very friendly. Food was good. I got the jerk chicken and found that all the greenery, sauces, and chutney really made the dish. The chicken itself was not dry, had the right jerk spice but the outside was just not quite cooked enough to give it that little crisp. Still a very nice meal. The rest of the folk in our group said it was good too.

5 stars for my experience today, but it's always nice at Elizabeth, friendly & efficient staff and nice atmosphere. New coffee bean since changeover, right? It's delicious. My salmon bene was very tasty, and raw peppermint slice heavenly, nothing like it! Will have to try another flavour next time. Cheers guys :)

We eat here for lunch quite often, the service is always great, coffee too, and its very handy to our usual work day destinations. It has got a little harder if you're in a car as the free car parking has recently gone, inevitable in inner city areas. In the last few months we've had really excellent meals (the lamb salad is my favourite) but we've also had average - quite often ruined by too much salt. Overall though one of the best in Tauranga and a varied menu which seems unusual in this city.

Great surrounds, staff, and menu options and prices were good. I think parking put me off visiting on previous occasions however I now park out back in public parking area so really handy for a special lunch!!

We visited for a coffee and time together to catch up. There service was a little slow on the day but the coffee was good. All is well when the coffee is good! The out-back parking has been greatly improved making it easy to cruise in.

One can easily see why this cafe had been cafe of the year 2015. I had the eggs Benedict with salmon, which was nice. My partner had the full Elizabeth which was just one of the best cafe breakfasts I have ever seen in NZ. The service was also really friendly, and the central location and design gives the cafe a very different feel to other ones.

We came here for coffee over New Years after taking a car for a test drive. Was a bit disappointed. Coffee was super hot (like burn your mouth) and ruined the experience. I have had great coffee here before so I am hoping it’s just a one off. Service was good and cabinet food looked great. It’s handy to a lot of things in central tauranga.

Elizabeth Cafe never fails to impress. Went for breakfast. Members of our group ate keto. I had the Keto Breakfast and it was extremely delicious. Have had their Keto Waffles previously too and they were also scrum-diddly-umtious! Great coffee. I love their hot chocolate with coconut milk. Highly recommend here for coffee and cake or a meal

I am a long time big breakfast eater and the “full breakfast” at Elizabeth’s is the best I have ever had. The chorizo sausage was big, good amount of bacon, scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, toast tasted amazing & the garlic butter / chutney side garnish was great.

Fast service, good coffee, disappointing food.

Nice enough. I had an acai bowl. Never again , too sweet and very cold. The waffles are served with chocolate sauce cream and caramelized banana also a big sugar hit. Would nice to have other options with the granola and waffles.

Tauranga generally has pretty average food, but my partner and I both enjoyed our Saturday brunch at this restaurant. Service was brisk. My big breakfast came with decent sausage (one sure sign of BB quality), good bread and very good pickle (not too sweet). My partner also enjoyed her breakfast.

Had a lovely lunch here. Presentation of meal was fabulous. You get value for money. Coffee was beautiful. Service is excellent. Enjoyed my experience all round

Food is great, there is a large selection of counter food. The menu meals are delicious too, a little more expensive (in the early to mid 20s) but not too pricey. Atmosphere was lively and welcoming, staff helpful and friendly. It would be nice to have some soft music in the background though as it is a bit quiet and echos a bit.

Great service and Tasty Food. Food was served quickly and was tasty. the most favourite thing was that i wanted to try the local fish market and had brought my food in and they didnt batt an eyelid, even offered to take my mess. Soo important in a family of 6 as we dont always want what the rest are having. Eggs bene had homemade hollandaise, rosti was nice and kids meals were a good portion. Hot.chocolate came with a sante bar that melted in the cup..cool idea.

These guys have some of the best food I've ever tasted in Tauranga. Every time we go for breakfast we are never disappointed. The waffles are crazy good and I would highly recommend the big breakfast.

Average, I used to visit here often in 2016, 2017 it wasn't to the standard of my past experiences. Ordered for both myself and my partner started well great coffee then we received our lunches looked great but mine wasn't the pork that I ordered it was lamb looked great but I don't eat lamb, the said I could have it and I said no I can't eat it they then gave me the correct meal LOL it didn't look as good as the lamb they offered and gave us additional coffee and some cake witch we didn't want but still charged us full price for meals and coffee they could have done better I beleave.

I had heard so much about this Cafe I was really wanting to try it. My husband and I went there as a special treat. I won't be going back. I had a hot chocolate 5hat was flavourless, my husband said his coffee was only ok. We asked if we could have something keto - with no carbs and were told nope we have nothing like that! I was kinda shocked as we ask that in lots of places and even the cheapest place tries to give us options by substituting carbs etc. We decided to settle for something with carbs and as a treat ordered a brownie to share. It was totally different to what we saw in the cabinet and was not nice at all. It was really hard and quite frankly tasted old. I would not recommend this Cafe to anyone. It was really disappointing.

The most delicious food. I had lamb salad. The lamb was hot and scattered through the salad were pieces of ricotta flavoured with orange - a complete lift to the palate. Children will love walking through the wall into the loo. Good coffee

What a great cafe. Excellent food and service. So great it wasn't so noisy that you have to shout. I would have given them a 5 but they use some canola oil. This is a very poor quality cooking oil.

Great service and food. Pity there was construction going on in the building. No wait; it might have been the music playing with the bass turned down real low! Hard to tell if there was music. Hurt the ears anyway. Probably won't go back to find out.

New to town so followed TripAdvisor recommendation and visited. Might have been a bad day but of three who served us, two were v pleasant and one was indifferent. Coffee was good. Food was poor ... friand tasteless and salmon wrap mostly mayonnaise with some baby spinach leaves and salmon, so we had to leave most of it.

We went for breakfast for the first time in this cafe and found it to be of a very modern city design , very large and open , service was good and the food was very nice , coffee good so it was a very pleasant experience , we would like to go again sometime, only one thing was the music was a bit loud .

Only had a chai latte from here but it was disappointing... tasted only like ginger and not much else...? The cakes on the cabinet looked amazing and I’m sure they would taste good! If I have to go back here I’ll have to try one! Definitely won’t have another chai though...

We went here for breakfast after looking for best Tauranga breakfasts. Was not disappointed. The food had so much flavour and the kids finished every last piece. Definitely coming back again

Great food and good service. Very friendly and buzzy. The hardest part is finding a table, it's often busy. I wouldn't take young children there, it's more a place to catch up with friends over coffee or lunch.

Superb Coffee... some of the best I've had anywhere in the world. Pet Friendly too which is always a bonus. Get there early for Sunday Breakfast if you want a seat.

Great cafe, kids love the waffles and i always go for the salmon eggs bene ( should try something new but when its good its good lol ) if room left cakes are hugh and awsome!!!

This is a nice modern cafe with good food and coffee. It's also easy to find, being right on the corner at the lights. Plenty of room too and a big reputation for great food.

We ordered egg benedict with salmon & full breakfast with two cups of long black. the food was really declious and unique and the staff was really kindly and friendly.

Tried the salt+pepper squid, chips with special sauce, and jerk chicken. all were amazing! Particularly the jerk chicken preperation was 5 star. Proportions are very generous for the quality and price.

Not much social distancing going on and pretty average coffee. I really wanted to enjoy this place but was disappointed.

The steak lunch was superb reasonably priced, but the side orders of fries for $3.50 was over the top,,for about 15 chips, this was way over priced
