J.I’ve been here a few times, food is good. Sometimes below average, I guess it depends on what time you arrive and all those vital details. Regardless it is a nice buffet, good range of food from meats, seafoods and desserts. I will most likely visit again. I didn’t get a photo of the food but of the view where the restaurant is instead.
R.It's my first time to eat at this nice place with a sea view and great sunset. You can eat all want with lots of food varieties. I love the stir fry vegetables. The meat was cooked well and easy to chew. The plus here is they cut the meat well that is easy for any customer to slice while enjoying the dine. What I also love about this Restaurant is their promotion for any birthday celebrant that dines in. As a customer, I am satisfied with the food and views around, and would recommend it to anyone who have never been to this restaurant. 😊🥰
E.What a beautiful place to dine at. Our family went their for a birthday, all you can eat buffet, and right beside the lake. Huge amount of dishes to choose from. Beautiful scenery even though it was pouring with rain. Atmosphere was awesome. Staff were terrific they were always their if we needed them. Thank you Nautilus
K.I have been here 3 times in the past year. The food they have on offer is the only food they do including on Christmas day, not complaining though. their Egg foo yong is beautiful and light along with their ambrosia and bao buns. With the beautiful view peaceful surroundings and good cost this would be a 5 star, however when visiting during peak time, it was obvious they struggled to keep up food demands leaving some empty trays.

M.It was a splendid experience dining in Nautilus Restaurant. I highly recommend this place for casual or fine dining. The service is impeccable, the food is superb, and the ambiance of the entire restaurant is quite inviting. Comparing with the rest of buffet restaurants that i have dined in all over New Zealand before, I would rate Nautilus restaurant a 10-STARS if i may.

C.Our whanau of 5 went to Nautilus for my birthday lunch! We booked a table in the morning & were lucky to get one as they had a wedding party booked in, we dined outside which was a really nice change as the day was brilliant & we had lovely sea views & of the Mount! The downfall was the tables encroached on the buffet area where people were lining up to get their food right on lunchtime, we found ourselves lined up outside, people squeezing past us waiting & those eating at the tables with their plate fulls trying to get past & back their table. Fantastic range of food all you can eat for a good price & dine free on your birthday! 👍

We headed to nautilus for my birthday dinner 4x adults. We booked a table for 7.00pm wasn't overly busy no mad rush to & from the buffet. The food was as expected for a buffet an range of seafood, salads, Asian dishes, Indian dishes, an assortment of sweets/desserts. Fantastic view of Mauao & surrounded by the water wether you choose to dine during the day or evening.
Always a nice place to dine for couples or family. service was friendly.

T.Great range of food. Asian food (fried rice, Laksa, steam bun, dumpling, pork rib, pork belly and etc.), fish n chips, spaghetti, mussels, oyster, salad and cold plate food, soup, dessert (ice cream, jelly, marshmallow, mose, cakes). My favourite is pork rib!

A.Good selection of hot dishes and seafood. Though the oysters were scarce, only bringing out 1 doz at a time. And often big rush of people getting them. Salads one night (we have been twice recently) were limited in what they had. We enjoyed our meals. Food was plentiful apart from oysters and was fresh and hot.
J.We have been here, 3 or so times in the last year and it's been good every time. When it's busy, lines for food can be a bit lengthy and between all the tables and chairs inside, it makes people not be able to move. They do the best they can with the amount of space they do have though. My only other suggestion would be too change up the food, once a month, even once every 3 months so people who love nautalis and come back.... Get some different food. Great quality food otherwise and only $19 for a buffet lunch is a steal
P.Nice smogasbord lunch, just unfortunately we didn't arrive till 1.45pm and closed at 2.30 so food wasn't exactly hot. Huge variety to choose from we were starving when arrived so everything we had went down a treat. Price was good.

J.I was looking forward to dining here, but upon arrival first impressions were a let down. Firstly, the seafood section lacked in quantity and the oysters tasted not quite fresh, and the green lip mussels were drenched in sauce. Peeled and not peeled shrimp were just okay. Secondly, for the hot food, it felt more like a chinese wok buffet, with many dishes that can be found at a typical foodcourt wok place. Just average in my opinion. Thirdly, the dessert area was pretty decent, though not sure if items were made in-house or store bought, but some of the items were not so great (overly sweet), ice cream and toppings were great. Lastly, overall the dining experience was just okay with decent staff service and dining environment. However, for $33.90 i felt like it could be slightly better.

My only suggestion is if you serve salads for people who are looking for healthy choice, please don't flood it in mayonnaise and dressing. Dressing should be an addition not the main ingredient of the salad.

K.Was really good! All the food was delicious, its abit cramped inside theres not much room to get outside if people are sitting at the table in front of the bar, so maybe shuffle that around abit and there will be more comfortable walking room. But the buffet was well stocked apart from the oysters, as soon as they were put down they were snatched up yummy! I would definitely recommend going here, and I would absolutely eat there again.

C.I would advise booking in advance. It's a pretty busy spot. They have accommodated us when we haven't booked but there was definitely a bit of an attitude about it. Depending on your appetite the price is ok. Relatively good selection of food and nice deserts.

For $19, all you can eat it was value for money. Not a lot of meats but a range of seafood and great dessert bar. Slight Asian fusion with dumplings, sweet and sour and stir fry. Everyone had seconds of the lasagne.

Ambience and decor is warm and pleasant, the location is quite nice and the food was excellent. We ordered almost every type of main and they were all served quickly, looked good and tasted delicious.
The staff are also very pleasant and friendly.

The selection of food is unbelievably good as is the atmosphere it presents to family and friends and visitors alike. Just had my 85th birthday there and it was such a success my better half insisted having her 80h there today. Everyone must try this place where the ample parking has harbour views to die for and costs you nothing. Enjoy as you most assuredly will I'm sure.

A.Not sure what the all fuss is about regarding staff in other reviews. Our table was cleared as soon as we were done with each plate, the staff were also polite and treated us really well. The food was amazing and there was lots of it to choose from! The only thing that I can criticize is the cocktails. They are amazing but for one drink costing the price of half a meal it does not seem worth it. If they were smaller and maybe $7 i'd probably feel better buying one but as the price they are I believe its a bit pricy for a buffet..
P.Utterly amazing place. Sue and Rebecca welcomed and served us. They were both friendly and happy. John the chef prepared amazing meals. I had the stuffed chicken breast and the creme Brulee. Truly divine.

A.Slow service but good fresh food. Slow on replenishing the dishes for the buffet but the fresh tasting food once replenished made up for the slow service.
The weird part was the bar didn't accept cash. Only card. Weird a.f.
And didn't have their main beer on tap.
S.Great atmosphere and food. The main person on front Gauchin was very lovely and accomadating. We did not appreciate one of the waitresses Leah talking about her personal life, constantly playing with her hair and wiping her nose with her hand while we were trying to enjoy our dinner. She was very loud and we shouldn't know such personal things about waitresses like the size of her uniform. Other than that it was a lovely dinner and we will definitely be back.

A.Reasonable selection of food, the pork belly melted in my mouth I had a small portion of lots of dishes went back for seconds and then just managed dessert. We were a party of 30 and had a private room for ourselves, they were prompt with removing dirty dishes and had no problems with us being the last to leave.

* Our meals exceeded expectation, they were generous, nicely presented and tasted great, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered.

B.Never again the food was absolutely tasteless,it is obvious the chef's don't taste test. Great setting with a excellent view, but the food was not at all good cold, also ran out of oysters took for ever and a day to replenish no rush by staff even they were told, so will not recommend to anyone definitely will not be returning.

t.We stopped by this unique location last Sunday and were impressed with what we saw and what we had. Our lunches were unique and delicious, very cheap for the quality and quantity we had in our plates.
Only downfalls were that the restaurant was horribly busy during our visit. And we had to wait for an outside table to be available on the deck . Seafood chowder and thai prawns were the best we ever had, excellent coffee and great service.
M.Chicken was dry. Pork ribs were tough. Egg foo young had a ton of veges in it. Chips were yum. Some of pork belly was dry. Puddings were so yummy

I.The buffett lunch is very reasonably priced and there's plenty to choose from. Clean and tidy restaurant with large car park, walk in access is a little confusing. Go through the gate on the RHS, you don't need to walk up and over the bridge. Good indoor and out door seating available.

S."All you can eat" buffet lunch for NZD 19 is very good value, and food quality is OK to good (depending on how long ago the items had been put out), as you would expect for such an establishment. Indoor and outdoor tables are available. The restaurant is by the stacking boat park, so from some outdoor tables you can sometimes see small boats enter & leave; and the local seagulls (of various species) will amuse as they fight over left-over food on abandoned outdoor tables. The staff are friendly & helpful, and will explain the procedure to first timers. The lunch food choices on our visit consisted of: two types of soup, with various types of bread; various meat dishes (including beef, chicken, pork, sausages, bacon, shellfish); various vegetables; battered fish and chips; a fried rice dish; various desert pastries, cookies & cakes, along with various ice cream flavours. (The dinner is twice the price of the lunch, but I have not tried it to see if the food choices are different.) We would go again for a lunch, but not for a special dinner (eg, St Valentines Day).

D.First time Nautilus customers and over all it was yummy food, good selection and nice environment, we had taken my dad here for his 50th birthday and he was expecting what he seen in the pics most hot food was as it looked in the pictures, but as the night went on we were disappointed there were not very much oysters and it's main reason we had chosen to dine here as we Travelled from Rotorua also the ice cream was melted the whole time not very pleasant for the children to put on there cone as it kept melting off, but we did enjoy our night hopefully if we did return they would have upgraded these small things.
