D.The food here was great.
We started with the potato skins, which were perfectly crispy. The rib special came out and was excellent value for money; the sauce was relatively sweet and very tasty. The gnocchi dish was the highlight of the evening; the sauce was so flavourful and rich.
We had the lime and raspberry cheesecake and creme brulee to finish the evening. While the brulee was tasty, the cheesecake is not something you can get at many places, and would be our recommendation.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
P.Great service at this restaurant, attended with a group of 10, all our meals arrived together, waitresses attended regularly and prices were about usual. Pleasant decor and ample close parking. A pleasant evening.
r.We had a wonderful lunch. Had the lamb shank and it was good, so good. Others in the group said that their meals were good. Will go back again.
M.The pork belly is a must try, great combination all round with the sauces etc and the pork belly just melts in the mouth with the crisp and crunchy skin on the top just perfect! The fish n chips was delicious with the chips perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend this place for any occasion.
D.Nice casual place to grab a bite to eat, a coffee, or a meal. Decent selection of alcohol for beverages and get togethers. Usually go for drinks and the planks which provide a nice alternative to share. The chicken pate plank is especially nice. Pleasant, casual atmosphere and it's a good place to bring kids, who will love the mocktails.

G.For an intimate meal, this restaurant boasts excellent and helpful staff. Favorable range of meals which you can enjoy in this place and attracts many people from around Tauranga. Ample car parking.
R.Really, really nice pub with an awesome atmosphere. We didn't eat here on this occasion but we have done previously and the food was also amazing 10/10.
Very impressed on this occasion that although it was a Sunday and their early close, the barman was happy to wait until we had finished our drinks, we weren't rushed at all.

We could only wish that the Neighbourhood Kitchen was in our neighbourhood in the UK😘. You deserve every accolade. Sadly we are moving on tomorrow but will most certainly recommend to any travellers to give yourselves a treat at our top rated restaurant in the area.

M.Great food and service. We ordered beer battered fish and cumin and coriander rubbed chicken. Both tasted yummy but chicken exceeded our expectations. Will definitely go there again for lunch/dinner. I heard they have great deserts, might try it next time.

A.We continue to visit for lunch on a regular basis and have never been disappointed with our food choices. My current favourite is the chicken steamed buns and my partner's is the pate, both delicious and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and helpful, drinks are served quickly and normally not a long wait for food.
A.This is a hidden gem. We stumbled upon this discrete little restaurant while visiting Tauranga for work. Who ever is in the kitchen is simply brilliant. Delicately presented food cooked with love and full of flavour. We enjoyed the experience so much we returned for a second visit. It didn’t disappoint. The Neighbourhood Kitchen is understated but the welcome is warm thanks to front of house Kylie. The portions are generous and reasonably priced it wasn’t hard to see why it’s so popular with locals, I hope they won’t mind if we share the secret.
G.We came here for drinks and dinner. Had a delicious vegan option and a great pasta dish. Had two incredible desserts. Beautiful decor and great music. The service was awesome, thoroughly enjoyed our time and will be coming back.

e.First visit to this restaurant for lunch with friends. Rainy day so had the seafood chowder. Beautiful food and the service was great. Nice chai latte as well. Will definitely be going back.
A.My wife and I decided to celebrate the end of the working week here. We enjoyed Happy hour (4pm~6pm) discounted drinks. We shared a pate platter followed by main courses (Thai curried chicken & Pork belly).
The Neighbourhood is one of our special places and they did not disappoint tonight. Lovely serving staff, great food, well priced.

P.I have travelled from Te Puke to dine here several times. Just your local neighbourhood eatery, as it states, but it has great things going for it.
The food I have eaten here has always been perfect. Fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection.
The service has always been excellent. Attentative but not in your face, just like a local should be.
The pricing is fair and reasonable. If people complain about how much it costs here, you are either out of touch, or you should just eat at home.
For a small suburban restuarant these guys do very well. I will keep coming back as it is worth the drive and suites me to do so.

2 of the party had eye fillet, which was very good to eat but steak and sides very small portions for the price, left you looking for more.

J.I love this place, pate is outstanding, "pie of the day" Is always delish but was most disappointed in the mussels...deacribed as served with a white wine, coriander, coconut milk and chilli sauce I was very under whelmed. I live around the corner from this place and would love for it to be my favourite...here's hoping our next visit is better ( mussels were perfectly steamed).
