S.I came with my elderly mother and her cousins. We had the lunch menu meals which were a really decent size and most surprising. Good prices and very affordable. Enjoyed the meal and experience. Thank you
L.Had a table for 5 for dinner yesterday, restaurant wasn’t that busy but it took an hour to get our entrees, mains were a bit quicker! Food was really good but definitely need to work on their speed for service 😀
R.The food was good, but the service wasn’t very good at all. Whilst others around had been waiting over 45 minutes, our order came quite quickly, once we ordered it. It took a a long time for a order to be taken, Even though the restaurant was very quiet. Asking for a second glass of wine took two attempts at least. The manager herself was not terribly apologetic, and seemed far too keen to blame her staff rather than taking responsibility. And there was no sincerity when asked if we’d enjoyed our meal. It might be the best Thai restaurant in Tauranga, but it might be worth thinking of choosing another cuisine if you’re heading here And value customer service.. But might be good for a takeaway or a ‘Faulty Towers’ evening out.

S.The food was lovely. I'm not a big fan of Thai food but the noodles were divine! The only reason for not giving 5* is that the wait time was too long, it took almost an hour to get the main dish.
A.We decided to eat in today after so long. The food is yummy as expected: yummy crispy spring rolls, yummy chicken larb, and yummy flavour packed pineapple fried rice. The portion is very generous. The leftovers filled two takeaways containers so we will get to have yummy food for another meal! Can't complain there!
C.Laksa and Green curry are fabulous. The best one I have ever have in Tauranga and the one as same as I had in Thailand. I also order a takeaway when I leave for my dinner. Highly recommend and would be back🤗

C.Great Thai food. Most authentic one I've found since I arrived here. The pad Thai was phenomenal, and the service was great. Loads of options to choose from.
One issue was that whilst it says BYOB, you can only bring wine, no beer or spirits. This was a bit misleading as we went and brought a 6 pack of beer prior to arriving and were told we couldn't drink it.

A.Friday lunch and this was quite well populated. Must be a local favourite. We ordered a green curry (my test of how good a Thai restaurant is) and a larb. The servings were very big but delicious with good taste and enough heat (not thai heat).
C.After being on an awesome cruise, it was great to have such delicious and authentic Thai food for a change & portion sizes were great as well. Thoroughly recommended. Staff were lovely and friendly.

D.Firstly, Thai Thani 2 is the superior of the two sensational Thai Thani's (the other being in Papamoa). Now that I have shared this valuable, and somewhat local information with you, we can continue ahead. I only ever review an establishment after visiting at least 3 times, this is to ensure both a fair & reasonable review, for you, my hungry reader. Thai Thani produces fresh, tasty meals & the wait time has never been more than 15 mins (I visit at peak eatin' time, 6.30pm), the staff are great, attentive, polite and welcoming. The veges are always fresh with minimal filler, and the spices and flavours are some of the best you'll find in any Thai restaurant in the BOP. Thai Thani 2 is hands down one of the best restaurants in Tauranga. So why one star missing from the perfect review? The music. And by music, I mean the one 3 minute song that plays over and over and over again. I've visited at least half a dozen times in the last 12 months - and it's always the same tune. Thats worth a whole star? When it stops you from visiting the restaurant, then yes, one star is sacrificed to the lords of single track CD's. 4/5
