Waoo, no words for the pizzas. We ordered one large Marinara and another large Aglio. Incredible, so tasty and made with love❤️ Staff very friendly! We will definitely be back... 5 stars cause it worth it.

Excellent pizzas. Great range of flavours. The bases are the best I've in a long time. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. But they do takeaway as well.

Lovely & quick service. For being in such a small town; La Toscana truly surprised me. Their food was fresh, delicious, cooked perfectly, and at a great price. Definitely would suggest visiting here if you're looking for good Italian food and a plethora of beer selections. 😊 We ordered the Nono penne and Carnivore pizza with chocolate cake and tiramisu for dessert.

Had pizza's from here twice during my stay and not only were the staff awesome and friendly, but the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Americano Pizza. That was.. well I should have got the larger one. It was that good. The dessert was nice too.. loved it. When I come back down that way, I will be coming back to you guys.

Great pizza! The dough was delicious, not too greasy or burnt. Sauce was fresh. The whole thing was perfect. I had the tiramisu and that was one of the best!

A gem find out of nowhere! The dinner if you can get it between 5 to 630pm is value for what it's worth; garlic bread, 2 mains (pizza or pasta), 2 dessert and the choice of 2 drinks (housepour wine or soft drinks). Honestly we were so bloated we had to literally carry ourselves out. Service was amazing and detailed. We didn't like the dessert as much because it was a little too sweet for our liking but it's still a great little place which definitely has got the taste right (not sure if it's authentic Italian way of cooking but who cares?!)

It seemed a little under staffed considering the volume of people that were there, and the amount of takeaway orders. Servers seemed maybe a little inexperienced or lacked communication with each other, not in a bad way but the flow could have been smoother. That being said they were attentive and friendly. Pizza was bloody lovely though! Would definitely eat here again!!

Cozy warm place, slow service but friendly. Pizza was it crispy, maybe this is authentic. Pasta was not oily, my husband likes it but I don’t. Hot fudge sundae was yummy! Big potions. We ordered soup , pasta and medium pizza and dessert (no drinks) for nzd 50.

Dined here after a long day to Milford. Staff were charming. Food couldn't be faulted. Easy access and easy to park. Perfect really.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the $60 for 2 mains, 2 drinks, garlic bread and 2 dessert/soup is great value (only available from 530pm-630pm). The pasta Nonno is highly recommended and the garlic bread with the soup of the day that we had (Italian herbs and tomato) was a great combination. Overall great service and great food.

The long queue outside the resturant was for a reason. The food was amazing. We ordered two pastas -Fungi and Verde and both were amazing. Tiramisu was not the best we have had, but it was still enjoyable. Too sad they dont take reservations on call, you have to go and give your name in person. Also, the portion sizes are debateable. We ordered one large and one medium pasta and the waiteress herself couldnt tell which is which. They both looked same. There is $4 difference between the two sizes.

We were just wandering around the town figuring what to eat. It was an unexpected surprise as the food was really good. From the garlic bread and soup to our pizza and pasta. Everything was perfect. Friendly staff too. 👍🏻

Vegan pizza and pasta was AMAZING. Love to see decent vegan options with vegan cheese. Staff were really awesome too and music matched the vibe of the restaurant.

The staff were super friendly and organised and the food was tasty. The pizza crust is quite thick and not traditional and personally would have liked more sauce. The wine selection was delicious and very reasonably priced :)

Service was nice and the italian tomato soup was really delicious. Unfortunately the rest of the food was pretty medium, resembling some italian dishes but nowhere near the real thing.

My husband and I took advantage of the early bird special deal. This was a $60 meal for two which included soft drink, house wine or beer; garlic bread; medium pasta or pizza and dessert. We really enjoyed our Diverso pizza and Nonno pasta and the desserts (chocolate cake and tiramisu) were excellent. This is a incredibly great value deal and we were both really full!

Good selection on the menu, pizza was lush and a large was more than enough for 2 of us (we took some home). Great drinks selection with lots of craft beers and ciders from all over NZ. Staff were attentive and friendly and service was speedy with food arriving quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic service, all the people were really friendly. Pizza was yummy, we only had the medium size, large looked massive. Great drink selection with a wide range of beers and wines from throughout NZ. If we had more time we would have been back to try the pasta dishes which also looked delicious.

Delicious pizza here! We had the falloni starter, four sausage pizza and tiramisu. All of it was so good. The friendly service was the cherry on top of a wonderful experience. 🤩

Ate here as our last real meal before hiking the Milford track. It was absolutely delicious. I got a pesto pasta dish and thought it was wonderful.

Got the best deal here, $60 for 1 glass of wine, 1 beer, 1 pasta, 1 tomato soup, garlic bread, 1 medium pizza, and dessert. Unbelievable, they were so delicious!! My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. Their salmone pizza is the best pizza I’ve ever had. Worth coming and will come back!

great spot with friendly staff. we went on a thursday night and it was full but we didn't have to wait too long for a table and were able to order a drink. their pizzas are loaded with toppings and the pasta is delicious too. we shared a large pizza and a medium pasta and that was enough for two of us.

Seriously delicious food! Attentive staff. My wife and I really fancied some pasta and pizza. Didn't regret our choices one bit. Aunthetic Italian food. You can see why so many of the locals were arriving to get takeaway pizza. A must if in the area.

My wife loved her pepperoni pizza, however my Marinara was not good, it was overcooked and chewy. Deserts were great.

The place is a little busy, but that’s to be expected during holiday season. We were able to snag the last booth as someone was leaving just as we came in. We had 2 pastas and 2 pizzas. I must say the kids meal pizza was just as large as a regular size pizza. The the creamy tomato sauce on my Nonno was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fitted us in despite being very busy. My wife had a gluten free pizza which she thought was one of the best she'd had. I had a meat feast type pizza which was also top notch. They lose one star for getting our sons pizza completely wrong although they went out of their way to make up for the error. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Best pizza I have ever had in New Zealand

The vibe is simple and relaxed... not fancy. The food is quite good and the portions generous. The parts dishes were served in a cute bowl with a heaping of tasty sauce. The pizza oddly was quite cheesy but lacked much in the way of sauce.

So good we had to go there twice! The pasta was delicious and so filling. The $60 early bird deal was also great value for money.

One of the best Italian dinners I have had in a while. This was a great restaurant, with competent and friendly waitstaff. The pasta was excellent and the pizza was well balanced, with a great dough, not soggy or too oily. Great flavors and the portions left everyone satisfied and happy. We ordered five dishes in total and each one was superb. Everyone was so happy, we went back the next night.

If you fancy an Italian meal or a pasta then you could try La Toscana Pizzeria. It is in the main street in Te Anau and although it does not have an extensive menu, what it does have is quite good. You can have medium or large portions with either the meals or the freshly made pizzas. The dessert menu has a good selection and I enjoyed the Sunday with hot fudge. Prices are reasonably and the staff are friendly and helpful. You might have to wait a few minutes if it is busy.

Amazing food. Early bird special of garlic bread, 2 medium pizza or pastas, 2 soft or alcoholic drinks and 2 desserts for $60! Couldn't fault it. Our waitresses were lovrly and very attentive , the food was delicious from start to finish and my partner and I had a wonderful evening there. They also do takeaway.

Good Italian selection but not of consistently high quality. Good pizzas, not so good pastas, enormous desserts. The decor is tacky. The view is dramatic, yet suburban for New Zealand. Friendly service.

Although the staff is friendly and the booths are cozy, the pizza and pasta weren’t that good. Too much cheese and sauce with too little taste. We had dinner at Paradiso as well and would recommend that restaurant instead.

Staff was great. Quite young, but attentive and kind. Food was solid , the garlic bread is awesome. Good beer selection. Especially good for its price compared to other restaurants we visited in the South Island. Would recommend to anyone!

We enjoyed Pizza at this place. It tasted well, good service and serving size. We went as there weren't other options in Te Anau but now if we have to go again then would sure go for it.

Omg we went between 5:30 and 6:30. We had the best deal ever!! It's $60 for 2 and we got 1 drink each, 1 garlic bread for 2, 1 medium pizza each, and 1 dessert each (that you can replace with garlic bread or pizza bread)! We were sooo full we had to take some away! I obviously loved it and recommend it!!

Was recommended by the locals to check out La Toscana. Place had a great feel about it which can be credited to the friendly front of house team. Grabbed the early bird meal for two, a great deal that fulfils all your foodie needs. Meals were sensational, the dessert of the day being an absolute winner. Definitely know where I'll be going when I'm next in town!

Where do I even start? Brie, cream cheese and Tabasco sauce on pizzas? 😱😍 amazing Vodka fired bacon in a pasta sauce. Crazy! But the drinks menu is absolutely to die for!! We had Apple crumble cider, chocolate stout and the highlight of the night, a scotch flavored ale. Wow I wish there was one of these restaurants in Melbourne

Pizza was good and enjoyed the salad too, prices were fair, just can't give it 5 stars because the staff were disorganized and it made the service slow and inefficient, for instance they attempted to take our order twice but then we're very inattentive when it came to things like getting more water or napkins. Also we had been waiting for a table and another couple sat down, basically cutting the line, and the staff let them while we continued to wait for a table.

Service excellent. Atmosphere friendly. A little pricey. But overall a great place to eat. Worth noting: Te Anau eating is way over priced in general. Cheaper in central CBD Auckland. They must still pack horse in the produce. Will absolutely do La Toscana again.

Absolutely my favourite place to dine in Te Anau. The food is to die for! The early bird special is real value for money. $60 will get you two house beers, wine or soft drink, 2 garlic breads, two medium pizzas and two desserts from the menu and its delish. If you don't walk out of there full, satisfied and sporting a decent food baby there is something wrong. It has become our favourite place to go place to go for a treat. Staff are wonderful, the music is great and the food? 10/10😀

Love their pizza pie! We ordered the brie and cranberry chicken pizza and minestrone soup. The soup was tomatotastic and the pizza tasty. I love how they fold up the sides of the pizza to look like a pie. great crust! perfectly cooked chicken!

This is actually one of the better pizza joints I have been to in New Zealand but a far cry from most in the US and not comparable to Italian ones. But far better than "pizza" in Thailand or South Africa. The crust was pretty good, there was effectively no sauce. Cheese and toppings were standard. The garlic bread was just a toasted generic white bread bun.

The downside, there is a draft from the door, otherwise the food is Fab and service is Good. Karen just said the Americano Pizza she just had was probably the best she has had anywhere. No room for pudding!

The food is good, the place was chocka the night we went there. I think they should not allow separate billing. It wastes everyone’s time when you are waiting to pay for your meals. The night we were there a bus load of traveling patrons squeezed their bill into 20 smaller ones during rush hour of course. Some one had to audit this like an accountant and it put the staff under undue pressure. Not a good look, but food was good :)

They had probably one of the best salads we've had since we've been in New Zealand(we haven't had much luck with salads). The salad had baby spinach with tomatoes, feta cheese and pumpkin seeds. The pizza was good too--we had the Fiesol (slightly spicy) and the Quasituto ( similar to a head-on pizza combo).

Had an absolutely nice meal. I had the 4 cheese pizza and the dolce de vera. Anthonio did very well by copying this desert from his mother. Surprisingly nice were the larger pieces of grated chocolate. The 4 cheese pizza was ritch and the herbs gave it a nice flavour. It was not too much just right. The crust was nice and crunchy I could tell there went a lot of love in to making the dough. I thought I tasted a little extra seasoning on the edge of the crust. Maybe some garlic and herbs oliveoil? The music was Italian and nice. The wine was good and the karaf full. I would have given a fifth star if only the lighting wasnt so bright. Energysaving lightbulbs are green but killing for the mood.

This place rates a WOW'zer. Wine, bread, pasta meal, AND .... a 3 scoop Sunday smothered in chocolate. All for $30NZD/person. What a deal. Only offered from 1730 to 1830. Get there early .... it fills up fast and there can be a waiting line.

Delicious pizza! Mr. Santa Cruz hopped onto the porch like Santa coming down the chimney, poised and ready to drop off a cheesy present. Enough mushrooms for Mario and Luigi to both level up. Oh brother... lets get to the crust. Lightly crisped and brown like a summer cider. Cubed Capsicum making you feel like shapes are the only thing that matter. And to top it off, a jacuzzi filled night with extra bubbles.

I really enjoyed the pizza here. Big enough meals to have one between two, and there was a deal on at the time to share an entree, pizza and desert with another person.

La toscana is one of the cheaper options for food in TeAnau and if you go before 6.30pm its even cheaper with there 2 person banquet option. The quality of food is fairly good and if you like olives try the 5$ starter dish, it is great value for money.

Ordered the Fiesole pizza for delivery. It arrived before the quoted time and was delicious! Nice little bit of spiciness, but not overpowering. Would definitively order again.

Ordered a speghetti from this place, food came a bit slow 20 min and my friends orders had to be changed from speghetti to penne. However, the food was alright. Therefore my experience is approximately 3 stars.
