Not too bad actually. The batters a bit heavy, so would make great hang-over food. Good portions and pricing.

This place has really nice fish and chips, it's wonderfully kept, well presented, handy location, hygienic facilities. Highly recommended. Great place to stop on a rainy night to enjoy picking up good quality takeaways, while you dry the laundry next door at Aunties, kill two birds with one stone. Both Open late too.

I didnt know everywhere is closed on Mondays - my Daughter sent me for Fish n Chips from Pirongia - no where was open there! - the place she sent me to was also closed! I found Fishermans Takeaway - I probably wouldnt have looked twice except everywhere was closed and it was cold and pouring down. The man didn't say very much but was friendly in manner - there were magazines to read. When I got home (25mins drive) the chips were Delicious and hot - there were Lots of chips - We kept going back for more and OMG they made The Best Chip Butty Ever!! - The fish - Gurnard was nicely cooked and also Delicious - we said We Would Be Back
