S.Staff fantastic water in men's toilet running all the time. I had the pork and it was really nice and just the right amount of spice to make it enjoyable. A great meal out with friends.

B.Wow Temuka is so lucky to have this restaurant. I wanted to eat everything on the menu, and I'm looking forward to going back to do that (not all at once, obviously)! The welcome was warm, bar and food service was excellent, food was tasty and fresh. Very reasonably priced.

T.Surprisingly world-class food for a tiny little town like Temuka! The menu's got something for all tastebuds and there's always a delicious vegan option available too. The new courtyard's perfect on a sunny day. With a solid wine list, beers on tap, great service and fine food, Austin's 92 is the jewel in Temuka's crown and well worth the trip if you're from out of town.

J.Superb meal in very pleasant surroundings. Knowledgeable staff, warm and welcoming. Hard to choose from menu as all looked so good. Settled for Sword fish followed by Black Cherry Parfait. It was a great choice. I shall look forward to a return visit.

V.We called in with out a booking on Valentine's day. They were really busy but managed to seat us in a cosy window table. The extensive menu made choosing what to order a pleasant challenge. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional.

Service - Visited during non-peak hour.no doubt is awesome. Staff is patient to answer my questions on the menu and follow up to see if i'm satisfied with my orders.
Menu - words, no photos. i had to depend on google reviews for suggestion. Turns out not many review mention any specific dishes. Other than roast lamb.
Food - was deciding between lamb and mushroom. I chose to order the mushroom korma as my main, the salad that comes with it is delicious and refreshing, i finished them quickly. However, the main mushrooms itself isn't very satisfying, i didn't manage to finish them even though i love mushroom. It's also a little too oily for me. It comes with a fried onion fritter, but it was soggy; not crispy. If i were to visit again i would go for some other dishes.
Price - for the main mushroom dish i ordered. I would feel it's overprice for the taste
V.Fabulous food. Initially we were going to be turned away as all tables had been reserved but the waitress suggested a table outside at the front which suited us just fine as it was a lovely day and we had our 2 small dogs with us. Will definitely be back again the food and service was faultless.

J.Honestly one of the best meals I had for a while. We were a table of 10 all the main meals were on within 2 minutes of the first one arriving.
A lot of choice and our table tried a reasonable sample of those not one meal disappointed

J.Tonight I had the lamb shanks, Craig has got it just right on this one. The wee bit of curry and the strong mint are just perfect with the pan gravy.
As a sheep farmer I am not usually a fan of the dog food, but this is the best I have had to date.

D.Highly recommend Austin 92. Great menu to suit all tastes and budgets. Flavoursome food and generous portions. We went on a Thursday and got a table without booking. It was busy and nice atmosphere. Staff attentive and polite. We had prawns plus deep fried camembert for starters. Fish of the day plus Mushroom Korma for mains. Plus 3 drinks. $80. I would eat all of these again but looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu too as I noseyed at other plates coming out and all looked enticing.
P.The service was a 10 +. Very friendly and helpful staff. The meal was absolutely delicious. Presented like a million dollars. Nothing left on my plate at the end of my meal. Well done Austin 92. Keep on doing what you are doing absolutely 1st class. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

B.A small country town, Temuka, is privileged to have quality cuisine available, on its main street as Austin92 restaurant. The first time I dined there I enjoyed the venison medallions, the second time their "Surf and turf" - small mussels in their shells with a large thick sirloin steak. The steak was cooked exactly as I like it. The dessert and the entree menus complemented the main beautifully. A large and well stocked bar meant that cocktail, wine and beer drinkers were spoiled for choice. As a recovering alcoholic I was disappointed that this restaurant joins the majority in NZ in not stocking alcohol free wines and beers. Sorry folks, soft drinks, grape juice and ginger beer is not a substitute.
