Hi, came in to Catctus fire on Friday night. Was promptly greeted by a lovely (and might I say quite attractive) waitress. We were shown to our seats with a lovely view of the bay. Our drinks order was taken and we quickly received our 2 drinks. We then called the waitress over and ordered our mains. One chicken wings and one nachos. The waitress took our order to the kitchen and then seemed to have nothing to do so proceded to stare us down for a solid 15 mins. I recommend giving the staff something to do while they wait for our food to be ready. Once the food arrived it was lovely and hot. We were even offered to try some FREE hot sauces. I throughly enjoyed the meal and the toilets were lovely and clean. Exceptional service and one very sexy waitress. A must do in Timaru!!!!

Visiting from Welly. Dinner on 31st Dec was a spur of the moment thing but was accommodated without a booking. Meals delicious and plentiful. Staff pleasant and from the looks other served meals to diners were ample. Cost reasonable.

The Timaru BRONZ motorcycle club had their monthly meal at Cactus Fire this past Sunday.15 members attended and overall everyone seemed pleased with their choices.I had the Beef and bean Nachos At $18 I had what is called a small meal but was so generous I had a doggy bag so basically I got two meals from it.I thought the menue was quite varied and reasonably priced. Service was excellent and staff courtyess.

Very friendly staff. Good comfortable outdoor area in the morning sun. We went here with our little dog and got one of their 'pupchinos' (bowl of whipped cream sprinkled with dog biscuits). Our little dog loved it and our toddler thought the whole experience was halarious.

Wow our tea was absolutely delicious!!! I got the fried chicken and a taco and they were both equally amazing. Very reasonably priced too. Can’t wait to come back!

What a great place for tea, the staff were so friendly and happy they knew the menu from top to bottom including the ingredients and spice range, as we done like it too hot/ spicy. We will definitely come back

Thoroughly enjoyed the food here. We had a big group and a varietyof dishes were ordered. A variety of hot sauce was available for those who like their food hot. Nearly every dish was liked. The mushroom dish was the only on not enjoyed.

What a beautiful view from the restaurant. Visiting from chch for work. The nachos were great value for money. Ample sour cream and guacamole! The tacos on the other hand were scant for $10. The other dishes coming out to others looked yummy too but quite expensive. Most things over $20.

We had such a lovely meal here. Nachos was a wonderful option but if you are really hungry, choose two tacos or a taco and a side. Prices very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. Certainly will visit again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great nachos and wow margaritas. Quite a pleasure to visit and you have to experience Cactus at least once, it doesn't feel like other eateries (atmosphere).

After reading previous reviews, I asked for some hot sauce, I was bought a range from Al's laboratory hot pepper sauces which were a fantastic addition and went really well with the meal. Recommend the garlic and chilli ciabatta and the cajun chicken taco. Well be back.
