Friday evening and the team are getting slammed. Drive through is backed up but the team appear to be working efficiently to get orders done. Orders not always correct but they are getting them out there. The shift manager yelling at the team like a banshee is not going to get them to work faster.

Rachel Peters you have no idea what your on about....the service here is absolutely fantastic so don't know what maccas you were at. The staff are great and I've never once had a problem with the food or coffee.

Not too crowded and of course, asked for my vaccine pass as soon as I stepped through the door (which was like woah moment but of course, we are in the Red at the moment here in Aotearoa aka New Zealand). Took me a while to remember what to do & due to it being a bit busy at the time I had arrived, quite a wait but luckily I kept a handle on my anxiety and got my food delivered to the table I was waiting at, by an awesome staff member (chose not to eat inside as I couldn’t handle the crowds and the noise)

Thanks Chey for the great coffee yesterday, we enjoyed it with a great breakfast from you guys. Trying times for you guys at the moment. We had a great stop over meal.

Fantastic service! Accidentally and embarrassingly spilled my coffee all over the floor and a young lady who worked there offered to replace it for me, even though I made a heck of a mess. Such Lovely service and hosptitally.

Everything was good. The crew were very friendly. The food was yummy. I can always rely on Macca's.

A bit messy at the time but possibly due to limited staff. Food to usual uniform standard Friends kids loved it :)

It's a mcdonalds, they're literally all the same and your in Timaru so you already have low standards. Bathroom was clean apparently.

Same old same old . Ok it still looks the same after a year on the shelf if ya take the girkin out . Why do I eat this rubbish . Quick & easy .

All the other reviews here are ridiculous and fussy. How can you not be embarrassed? This place is literally my favourite place to get food, and I highly recommend it.

Only ever go there for coffee and toilet stops because I have Coeliac diseaseand not much Gluten free food available

Arguably the best McDonald's I've been to. Seems to have higher quality food than the ones in Chch. Fresh.

Good place to eat can get a little long to get food but will only be waiting for a couple of mins.

This is one of the bst run takeaways in NZ. Clean, fast run despite being busy and staff are so fab. Get the order spot on. I do not mind McDs just because of this place. Since the upgrade, bloody brilliant. Keep it going guys!!

I ordered a clubhouse crispy chicken wrap for $11.70 off the self-serve kiosk, received it in a cardboard burger box with no wrap, no buns. Went to the counter to get the right one, the thankfully enthusiastic and helpful man with a mullet proceeded to tell me they only do the aoli wrap - not understanding what he meant I said I'll just take that and the wrap I got was the cheaper $9.80 wrap, despite paying $11.70 for the gourmet wrap. He didn't offer me a refund or anything and I didn't want to continue to complain. Ah well. After the fact, checking the MC Donald's app, I can see that the item I orded is not a wrap, but is instead a burger that just has the buns removed and it's my fault for not checking the item description first. My beef is with MC Donald's corporate: it wasn't apparent when ordering on the self-serve kiosk that the item isn't a wrap, especially considering that the photo for the item shows it wrapped in a sheet of paper that looks very similar to a wrap. This is also considering that you can customise any item you order from the self-serve kiosk's, very easily, to remove the buns from any regular burger and other items that might have gluten in them. Which begs the question: why have a menu item that's just a burger without buns, when the option to remove buns from any item has existed for well over the past decade. Nice MC Donald's in Timaru, but the loaded lettuce is a stupid menu item.

The staff here were very pleasant and friendly. I liked them. My Big Mac was more oily than I'm accustomed to but perhaps it is a local taste? Otherwise satisfied as usual with McDonalds.

Even average for McDonalds. Chips were cold (although they did replace them quickly when asked) and the meat (Big Mac) wasn't as hot as it should be and was under seasoned. Everything seemed clean and tidy however.

I always take a break here on my way to Christchurch. Clean washrooms and friendly staff here!

Food was good,and was prepared quickly, no complaints there. just cleanliness a bit of a let down. All of theBins overflowing with rubbish, and dirty tables. now I'm No expert, but it did not seem that busy in the restaurant while we were there.

Been here a couple of times but this morning I wasn't happy with the service at all. I ordered my breakfast and some coffee to take away. My breakfast arrive almost straight away and was sat waiting on the counter. My coffee was 15mins later. My food wasn't very hot

It's a McDonald's, we were late as driving through, even though there were plenty of drive through meals going out and as usual you know it's fresh, it was still like warm as we opened it and ate it!

Some Female staff member was kicking off at who knows.. Her voice was louder than all the customers dining NOT PLEASANT... Waitress seemed uninterested in bringing our Meal Burger was Ok ..maybe I was just hungry My partner ..she wasn't impressed either Maybe that's Timaru McDonalds .. I couldn't find Burger King...

I've been to a few McDonnalds and the standard of cleanliness varies. Timaru McDonals is one of the better restaurants I have visited.

Best place for transit when drive between Christchurch and Dunedin

Consistency in comfort food would be the definition of McDonald's. If you liked it... this means you'll like it EVERY TIME. If not, don't try it later. They innovate some new products but in the end, they're always McDonald's! That's a good thing. Make sure you tailor your meal the way you want Those electronic menu ordering pads allow you to add or subtract pickles and patties... change the kind of onions... all the options are yours. Their barista coffee is not better anywhere. And don't forget to ask for a free refill of your soft drink!

Hadnt been to MacDonalds in ages ..Was rather kol. Place was clean, toilets clean and tidy, service was friendly and smiley. Pleasant experience, food damn yummy 😋.

We ate breakfast at Timaru Mc Donald's just over a fortnight ago. I would like to complement the staff on prompt friendly helpful service, along with great food! Timaru Mc donalds always was very good and we hadnt been back in 7 yrs service as brilliant!Thank You miles better than Dunedin where we are rarely met with a smile I really miss Timaru for the freindliness

Its a McDonald's the experience is usually pretty standard all across the world. On this occasion i only used the drive through. It was around 11pm and there was a decent queue. It seemed to take a while to get through from ordering to collecting but i assume that at this time there are fewer members of staff at this time. Now i only visited once so this could have just been a one off. The food was good and i had no issues with the meal.

Was told I could order 3 share boxes be able to swap chips in one box for chicken nuggets by manager on Tuesday when I asked .but come Sunday when 10 of arrived was told I couldn't do this you need to get things straight when talking to customers

Very busy, the drive-thru was backed up onto the street blocking traffic. Rubbish on the floor. Seemed to be short staffed as the supervisor was shouting out orders "I need this NOW!" Delicious icecream sundae with caramel sauce topping when I finally got it

Always love McDonald's. Love their coffee. But the one in Timaru I was not happy with. I went into the drive through just to get a coffee. It had two lanes open BUT I say there for 15 to 20 minutes and the voice box didn't ask what I wanted. If that lane was closed it should have had a sign saying it was closed. Not happy as didn't get a coffee.

It's McDonald's, took a while to get them to sort them selves out when asked for a receipt you would have thought I'd asked for the codes to secret agent thing. What a drama. Food was ok. Coffee just ok they don't offer Almond milk like Most other cafes. Not really clean or tidy but not that busy and there seemed that there was a couple of team members needing something to do and they could have been cleaning up.

Food was perfect. Place was nice and clean. Staff really nice and friendly. Will definitely go there again.

Person serving me behind counter more focused on talking to manager/ owner about how many sales she had made . Not much attention given to customer standing in front of them and receipt slammed onto counter as she wanted to discuss sales with bosses . Your customers are your sales

Stefan was my counter person and he was terrific, so high marks on service. One burger was special order. The order was correct, but the burger was tepid temp-wise. Fries were hit and tasty as usual. Meal was ready, and waited another 5 minutes for barista coffee to be finished. So good, but not great experience. That said, huge McD fan, in every country - so will still visit whenever I have an opportunity!! 😘

Its clean and tidy the staff are pleasant and cheerful unlike oamaru McDonald's which is filthy you have to ask for a table to be wiped..then they just hand you a cloth

Car park is a bit small and my cheeseburger looked like it was thrown into the paper from the other side of the room but the staff are nice and let me change my order. The create your taste from here was good but it takes time.

Always a great place to stop enroute to Dunedin. Clean environment and fast service, easy to park.

I love coming to this McDonald's Branch when I'm down in Timaru, I've always had great experiences here. Really good customer service and the food is always hot and fresh when I've eaten here.

It is OK. They made a couple of mistakes with my order and they gave me too watered Coca-Cola (it wasn't very well mixed I think). But is your regular McDonald's.

Great Maccas if you're passing through, its on the main drag and has a drive through. Never had an issue with an order here 😊

A bit loud but other than that you get what you pay for. Didn't know that mac-d didn't have any vegetarian food other than sweet stuff or fries. Will have to go to the competition next time ...

Great fast food. Clean restaurant and didnt have to wait long. Wish the frozen coke machine doesnt go on defrost at early afternoon time.

A normal mcdonalds restaurant. But , the coffees may be a bit expensive. The thing I don't recommend to buy is the chocolate pie. It doesn't go well...
