Our favourite lunch place, went there almost every week. Reasonable price comes in good portion, the cheese naan and vege naan was my faves. We tried all the curries in different spicy level, all the food just wonderful. Need to wait a bit when it's crowded but it worth my time.

Food is fine. Ambience also looks fine. Lady staff looks arrogant. May be they are getting more takeaways, not much bothered about dine in customers.

Food was alright but wouldn't say value for money. Chicken Bryani was loaded with Cardamon so couldn't taste much else and Butter Chicken was bland. Been twice, elsewhere next time for Indian.

They have non-spicy option for small kids. Non-spicy Spinach one (Saag curry) was not hot at all. My daughter loved it. We always have our lunch there. Lovely staff and good hospitality. We went there several times but this time Friday lunch time during school holiday period, they were very busy and needed to wait for 40 min. It is good that our favorite restaurant is loved by many people but it would be better avoid peak time if your kids are very hungry :-). They were busy but staffs' service was so comfortable.

Some of the best Indian cuisine available, generous portions and to top it off the $10 lunch special is fantastic value. Food is prepared fresh to order including the naan bread. I can definitely see this becoming a regular for us. Highly recommended.

I've had many a butter chicken here. Eating in or take away the portions are generous and soooooo tasty. I've tried lots of curries here and like them all. Naan bread is awesome too. The staff so good at hospitality, makes a good place for a work 'do' , equally good as drop in and eat as you are, prices are reasonable too.

My partner and I tried this place out for lunch on Tuesday after have heard good things about them from many people, we were not disappointed. Firstly the service was warm, friendly and efficient and the young lady who served us was very attentive and a pleasure to deal with and checked back with every table to ensure they were enjoying their meals. the restaurant itself was comfortable, tidy and as it was a quiet day very peaceful with enjoyable Indian music ebbing softly through the space. Our order was taken without fuss and our meals arrived with expedience. The meals themselves were excellent, prepared expertly to our desired levels of spice, I had the lamb vindaloo(the lamb itself was beautiful and soft as butter) and my partner the chicken korma and what’s more were of astounding value given how cheap their prices are. we both thoroughly enjoyed the meals (using every last bit of naan to ensure nothing was left of the curry on my plate, bowl and even utensils) and were full and well satisfied. As a professional chef I couldn’t find any faults and will definitely be back, highly recommended.

Good food and service!! We are Indians but still found hard to understand the menus as it had so many options. May be its punjabi specific dishes. We literally googled each dish before ordering!!! We ordered paneer dhansak ( it was actually dhal with paneer, but ofcourse the taste was different than normal dhal) and garlic nans. The food taste was really good but the nans weren't very fresh and they were half roasted at the edges. The waitress was really kind and the service was really quick.

Surprisingly good Indian food in Timaru. It's not the cheapest around, but that is reflected in the quality. We had good food, good service, and it was clean - which, I assume, is why it has been around for over 10 years now. I should add that we had to restrict ourselves to mild food as the people we took had never eaten Indian food before - but after the meal we had to write down what they had eaten so they could go back and have it again.

Excellent food. Friendly atmosphere. As we can bring our own wine I was able to walk across the street and bring a choice bottle of wine at a fraction of the cost of the wine sold in the restaurant. Authentic Punjabi Indian food.
