Not the flashest bar/restaurant in the world, but on the otherhand, it provides a spacious relaxed family environment. There are plenty of screens for sport watching and pool tables for entertainment. Excellent range of drinks available. The food was good and staff were friendly and professional. However, the highlight was the dessert, the best creme brulee I have ever had. Definitely a good place to check out if you are looking for somewhere to dine in Upper Hutt. I will be back.

Had such yummy Kumara Gnocci here the other day alongside a Jager Bomb. So good! It was also free desserts on Tuesday when a main meal was purchased, so that was a nice suprise!

Spacious and child and family friendly. Lots of space between tables and not overly noisey when full of diners. Food is delicious, have tried many different meals and all are tastey and quality. Service is slow, they dont check if you are ready to order or need more drinks promptly. Recommend to all

The food was fantastic, probably the best fish that we have had out in quite some time. Staff were great, even with the table change when one of the people in our party had a bit of anxiety. No big fuss was made which was appreciated. Little things go a long way, thank you!

I ordered the Korean chicken and added on the prawns! The meal was delicious. The issue was the service by the waiter. Originally I had been looking forward to having a cocktail and asked for a mojito, but he did not know what it was. I proceeded to ask for the cocktail menu and he stated he is probably too busy to make a cocktail, but handed me the menu which seems counter productive considering he had no intention of making a cocktail. He seem flustered and anxious. I would recommend 7 Bar based on the food, but the service needs some work!

Dropped in for a burger and beer as part of Wellington on a plate. Guy who took order at the bar was inviting. Service was fast, and a number of seating options. Outdoors eating area probably set up for summer. Covered outdoor area set up for smokers. Burger was a bit smaller than I expected tasted OK, they had sold out of the matching beer. Disabled carpark out the front and entrance is wheelchair accessible. They have a kids menu and a happy hour, see photos. Set up is relaxed, small pool table $2 per game. I will go back again. I forgot to add the do coffee also.

Had a great meal at 7 Bar. The steak was perfectly cooked, the roast spuds were deliciously crisp and the sauce and salad was really good. The cheesecake dessert capped of a great dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. All around, a great experience.

Dropped in for a coffee on a Sunday night and I was really impressed. The staff were very welcoming and the service was great. Coffee arrived promptly and was proper good tasting too. The whole place is really clean and tidy and has a nice understated atmosphere. By that I mean it's not super flashy but it's not your local sports bar either. You will feel comfortable here wearing smart casual clothes. I didn't have a meal but just seeing what was going out to other tables has inspired me to return for dinner in the very near future. Fully deserving of a five star rating!

Food was good 💯 however one of our family members had gone to the ladies room and saw that the female waitress/bartender had finished in the ladies room and left without washing her hands then proceeded to serve food to customers which was a complete letdown for hygiene and put us off going back. This is a restaurant & bar very comfortable & a lovely place to sit an enjoy each other's company. The food here is very good although I have only tried the bar snacks menu so far but was very nice I had the nachos & garlic bread. They were very nice just not enough corn chip's with the nachos and the garlic bread was beautiful lovely bread and fresh. I Will be coming to this place on a regular basis

On recommendation from my parents, who have been going to the 7's bar regularly over the past few years, my family decided to give it a try. We hadn't booked and the restaurant was full, but they still managed to accommodate us. The food was reasonably priced and worth every cent, my husbands favourite has always been the lamb shanks and mine the stone grill. The service even though the establishment was full was exceptional, especially from Shaun, he has a way of making you feel important and he is there to give you great service and that is just what he did, along with the other staff. I would highly recommend the 7's Bar for couples and families. We have this time made a booking and I am looking forward to a pleasant evening :-)

Situated close to upper hutt station. Plenty of parking nearby. Good seating option. Menu has everything for kids, meat lovers, vegetarian and gluten free. Only disappointed by their stone grills which is only for meat eaters.

Outstanding food whenever we eat here. It is our regular as, unlike some other places around town, it never disappoints in meals. The staff are friendly and seem to know what they're talking about. The food generally arrives quickly, even when the restaurant is full. I am a huge dessert person and I have to admit, dessert is the one place The 7 Bar falls down. I have had the crème brulee, the chocolate lava cake and the chocolate torte. The chocolate torte is the only dessert I felt was not a let down. I could talk about what's wrong with the desserts for hours, but I won't. But, I guess dessert isn't everything and it hasn't stopped me from coming back again and again. The halloumi salad is my absolute favourite. It's just outstanding. The halloumi is crispy and delicious, the salad is fresh, the dressing is creamy. It's just, everything! My friend particularly enjoys the fish of the day when they have a special with glass/seaweed noodles. It sounds strange but he loves it. The fish always has crispy skin and is perfectly flavoured. Keep it up! We'll always be back.

Use to be a fairly decent night spot, came back 6 years later and it’s all grown up into a pretty nice pub with good food and drinks. No sport on when I visited but can see it would be great for rugby or what not.

This place is something special in our opinion. The atmosphere is super. The cheerful, friendly staff make you feel welcome, and they have an open ear if you've got something to say.
