Reviews of Art of Food

Pizza was excellent! There was a little bit of a wait, but definitely worth it! We had the mushroom sauce based pizza, and the one with bearnaise sauce. Both were lovely.

Much better than the last time I was here a couple of years back. Food was good. I had the pork belly that was well cooked and a generous portion. The pizza was also really good. Serving staff weren't overly clear or friendly though.

Lovely ambience, Nice and roomy music not too loud. Pizzas were fantastic good balance of ingredients for taste handling. Had a fantastic young man being our waiter, we much appreciated his service. Very thoughtful & had great timing coming back to see if we wanted anything more. Already thinking of coming back

Great food and super friendly staff. We had the garlic bread, Meatzza and Winemaker pizza and hazelnut dessert pizza. All were very yummy and good portions. Venue has some nice outdoor seating.

Such a good restaurant! Pizzas are amazing and the dessert pizzas are completely fabulous. Match them with the delightful selection of craft beers, wine or soft drinks and you'll have a dining experience worth pulling yourself from Netflix for. Staff are really great too.

Had an amazing woodfire pizza, service is incredible and friendly. Our new favourite restaurant.

The CGT and Winemakers were both amazing pizzas. Also the dessert pizzas are well worth a try. We had the hazelnut one which was very tasty. Great venue, good vibe, great asset for Upper Hutt.

I made a booking today 1.04 2021 And told them it was our 2nd anniversary and they have made it so special and personalised for us. Their staff were amazing and went the extra mile to make our evening fantastic. Thank you

Friendly bunch and awesome service. Lot of good food options and their coffee is amazing. Family friendly as they have good space in the front and plenty of parking at the back entrance.

Loved Art of Food. Welcoming service, good food, reasonably priced. The menu is excellent. Definitely love the courtyard - can't wait for the warmer weather so as to frequent it more.

Absolutely exceeded expectations. The Purple Panther cocktail was to die for. Pizza was divine and so full of flavour and fresh ingredients. Friendly staff who were very attentive.
Definitely will be a regular visit

Nice and chill environment. The food was good. Efficient service. If the pizzas were available it would've been better.

Fathers day, was ok, although they did forget my child's meal completely, but did give us 10% off and a $25 voucher.
Pizzas were nice.
Probably could do with more or another extraction fan, as few times the air made eyes sting and was smokey.

Really nice large almond milk latte, decent fluffy for my son and lovely setting sitting outside among the art and plants :). Friendly staff
K.
I love the brick oven wood fired piza 👍
C.
Great atmosphere. Good coffee and cheese scones. Nice outdoor space. Friendly service.

Very good service.
Excellent choice of good food.
Interior/ exterior dining.
A very enjoyable experience.

Very accommodating when we came in quite late. Excellent service and yummy cocktails. T-bone steak and pork belly were both delicious. Have previously had their pizzas take away and never disappointed.

I like food here, I know people have given various reviews, but I don't have any complaints. The variety of wood fire pizzas are good and there's a good selection of drinks. It's clean and reasonably priced. I've never seen it busy admittedly

I was at the Art of Food on 8 January and was at the table of 7 mentioned in below reviews. We did have a few things go wrong with our meal and it was rectified so didn't need to leave a bad review. Food was great. We were from out of town and the street appeal attracted us. When we went in to find out if there were bookings we were not told it was fully booked, and it didn't look fully booked all night. We had discussed that the young guy serving us must have been new. A few of us had worked in hospitality and understood. Don't know who the 3 were that gave a review at the same time, though it wasn't any of the 7 of us.

Most tasty Tiramisu, will go back if I get an opportunity 😋

Huge improvement in both food and service compared to last time I went there. Highly recommend!

$21 pizza, handed to me in a massive box only for the pizza itself to be not much larger than what you'd normally get at a franchise. Base had great texture but little taste, cheese was pretty good but needed a little bit of salt. Overall good, but not worth $21 - personally would pay $14 for something like that.
