G.Amazing menu and value. Also do a selection of Chinese inspired dishes if thats your thing- which are amazing fresh and on par with their Indian creations.
The atmosphere is great, the staff friendly and the food exceptional. We have been coming here about three years now and never been disappointed.
A must if your local and worth the trip if your not - trust me

T.We have dined here a few times and this is our first review for Bombay. We have found Bombay to be consistently excellent. It sets a very high standard for food from a wide menu and it is delivered with quality service. Decor is smart and the music pleasant. All-in-all a pleasant place to dine.
G.The Bombay has a great menu of Indian and Malaysian food. The Lamb Rendang and batterd Prawn were excellent as was the selection of roti. I would eat again at this restaurant.

I have Indian friends who make the best Indian chai tea so I had very high expectations. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the Indian Chai tea I was served here. Too much sugar, too little spice. 😝 but the food was awesome
K.Went for dinner tonight with 4 children 2 adults. The food was fast, delicious, perfect temperature and full of flavor. The service was far better than I have ever expected anywhere before, I am truly blown away. Thank you very much for the lovely end to our busy night. The children's area was great for occupying the children while waiting also, thank you 😍 my favorite restaurant restaurant Samosas, Butter Chicken and chicken lollipops in Upper Hutt.
J.Mix plater and curry were good. But kerala parotta was so thick and hard. Not layered or soft. Too much oil.
L.Lovely staff but didn't enjoy some of the food. Good service clean and tidy. Maybe it was my fussy taste buds. You still need to visit and taste for your self.

T.Went for dinner and had the BEST experience! Greeted right away, all staff were amazing, friendly and super polite. My partner and I were absolutely blown away by the food - so much flavour, not too spicy (for us) incredible naan bread, tender meat and not to mention when I asked for takeaway containers, the lady who served us insisted she put our food away to go for us! I have honestly never experienced such great customer service, as well as tasting what I believe is the best Indian curry/cuisine ever. 10000/5 stars for everything - would HIGHLY recommend.

The serving size was good, but we wasted a lot. The venue seemed fine, we ordered takeaway, which was available 20 minutes after ordering (online) which was good. The prices were typical for an Indian restaurant ($16 for a butter chicken curry + complementary rice). Our search for an authentic tasting Indian restaurant in Upper Hutt continues....

S.Don't be fooled by the decor, this restaurant produces very good curries. Friendly staff made our night very enjoyable especially when one of our crew wanted more heat in his curry. The waitress took it back to the kitchen for the heat to be incrementally turned up until it was right. You don't get personal service like that now a days.
M.This restaurant has changed hands about 9 months ago and is now known as Bombay House. It is still evolving, so I am informed. The interior decor and layout has certainly improved. The food and service is good, with the Duty Manager being especially pleasant and welcoming. Their lunchtime specials are attractive deals where the curry comes with rice and a piece of nan and usually attracts many customers.
BH is worth checking out if you're looking for a dine-in or takeout, hot meal within the CBD area. You can tailor the degree of spiciness (mild, medium or hot) when you place your order. Food is served piping hot, on warmed, white, dinner plates. The menu is surprisingly extensive and no doubt will cater to a wide range of tastes. It is roomy enough to cater for medium to large business or family groups.
L.Wow! Just wow! Their food, customer service, costs and venue was beyond any of my expectations. They stayed open a little later just to serve my partner and I. And they even made the Indian chutney that my partner likes which isn't even on their menu. Definitely keen to come here again and HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone!

G.Generally good and tasty. Only gave it a score of 3 as consistently disappoints me with the Paneer dishes - very little paneer. However overall not too bad and better than many other Indian restaurants and would give a 4 or 5 if the quantity of paneer was improved.

d.So update, after the not so great mothers day experience the owners reached out to make it right. We went to dinner there tonight and the food was AMAZING. We highly recommend the the shared platter, chicken tikka and the naan breads. We will definitely go back!
P.Had my daughters birthday here with a large party. The food was absolutely brilliant and talk around the table was all about what a great experience everyone was having. No plate stayed in front of the originator as they got passed around the table with comments like "here try this". The ambience was very welcoming, wonderful friendly staff.

This family run restaurant continues the fine reputation set by the original proprietor though there is now many more Indian restaurants in Upper Hutt.
