The Christmas and New year crew have been amazing! Great service. Prior to that, the crew on, always left something out. Usually serviettes. And when you asked for one, you'd get a sigh and 10 serviettes shoved at you.

Probably one of the better Maccas in the area. Some days you can have terrible service with the wrong order or missing items. Other days it is very fast and you receive proper hot food.

They have a quick drive thru. The staff are polite and are happy to meet changes to standard orders. The place is always clean with tables cleared quickly. The best part of the restaurant is the McCafe where the barista, Teach, is friendly, makes a great coffee and is always on top of things even when it's busy. The only reason I won't give this place 5 stars is that I was parked in by a delivery truck for 10 minutes with a crying baby. The parking isn't very well laid out.

Staff need training on Friendly/Polite customer service as this is a huge part in people wanting to come back (including Drive-Thru!). Friendly Face/Smile/Greeting, just basic etiquette (Difficult with masks now I understand but tone in ones voice also goes a loooooong way). Food ... sometimes hot & fresh. Milkshake machine doesn't work more often than it does. McDonalds, Company or franchise or whatever, needs to invest in a machine that does break down every week.

Great McDonald with everything a maccas should have. Drive thru, food court with touch screen order displays, McCafe, clean bathrooms, and a play room for the kids. Nice and central to the shops. They have great adherence to covid-19 guidelines from my observations.

They are friendly but push cars through the drive through to the two holding parks which are badly positioned and block the drive-thru. So their attempts to get lower times waiting are not working and cause anxiety for their customers both in cars and pedestrians entering and exiting the store are in danger as cars block the way

They took the indulgent choc shake off the menu but I forgave them bc they put on a 4$cheeseburger & chips add on. Day staff are awesome but it's a mixed bag with the night staff. You may not ride your bike through the drive thru either.

This place is almost perfect. They used to customize orders (e.g steamed buns for a McChicken burger) but they no longer do this.

Wow normally I've always got negative things to say about this store but the manager(I think he was? He certainly acted like one) and staff were excellent. For the first time in all the years dining in here we felt valued as customers and enjoyed eating in feeling the great vibe by all the staff. Keep up the good service and well keep coming in. It's actually an ok place.... However our fries came out cold. I did complain and they did ask "...would you like me to get new ones?". Well yeah... Who wants cold fries .. anyway fries came back slightly hotter (think they got microwaved) and I just decided to eat them... just need a little more attention to detail I think.

I like the McDonald's coffee. And early in the morning or on public holidays it can usually still be relied on. While other cafes were still closed I got my fix at the golden arches. The new electronic ordering was goid fun here too. First time I've used it and it was easy. Also good that I avoid human contact before coffee.

It was early morning and I went in and bought a coffee. It was a a Machinno. No sugar. Ordered through one of their machines, it even goes down to what sort of milk you want in your drink! Overly complicated but, I think, a sign of the times. Service was quick.

McDonalds Upper Hutt is OK clean and all but when going through the drive thru I definately recommend checking your bags before you drive off although I recommend that at all Maccas they usually miss items and dont give receipts so you cant really dispute it

Your usual maccas. Seems like they clear about cleanliness here much more than other maccas restaurants. Only con is that they take awfully long even with the numerous people are working. I have seen McDonald's Petone have less staff but produce food more quickly.
