P.Stopped for lunch on our road trip, had read many good reviews so thought we would try it. Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops we have ever been to. Big pieces of fish, large battered sausages and two very generous scoops of curly fries. Perfectly cooked, not too oily or greasy. Fast and friendly service, now definitely on our list of must stop and eat places.
M.dropped in on my way through one afternoon for a snack... the fish burger was so massive I didn't need dinner! generous helping of curly fries, fed two of us. very happy, if I lived in waihi I would be eating here regularly!

J.Seriously tasty fish and chips. Also maybe one of the best pineapple fritters I've ever had... light crispy batter and generously drenched in sugar and cinnamon👌 We will be coming back!
r.On our north island tour we stopped at Kelly's for a quick spot of lunch. OMG I do think we have found the BEST fish and chips in NZ. The batter was light non greasy and super tasty, we enjoyed a delicious meal of fish, mussels, scallops and beer battered chips all served with a side of lemon (a lovely addition). Kelly's was so good it's left us craving fish and chips and disappointed with all other places we have tried on our tour. If there was ever a place that should start a franchise it would be Kelly's. Well done guys, keep up the great work. We will definitely be detouring past your place again in the future.

H.Hawaiian burgers, fishes, pineapples platters and some chips. It was everything nice and fresh. Burgers were very nice with beetroot. We ordered a few items and missed one item but one of them came out from the stop to get us soon.
I Hope this shop will soon on the top ten list of New Zealand fish and chips shop.

S.What a great find, lovely clean shop, friendly guy at the counter, ordered our food with a few special requirements which were no problem at all. The fish was outstanding, crisp non greasy batter with herbs yum! Chips hot and crispy and perfectly salted, highly recommend this place, thanks guys!
c.I brought some fresh snapper fillets for dinner which was delicious. Also raw fish that was melting in your mouth. Sadly I didn't buy enough and seafood salad.... they didn't last long after I got home. All was well worth it. That was the best raw fish I have had in a long time !!! The customer service is great too.
H.Stopped in on our way home from Whangamata for dinner. The place was spotless, the service was friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and so delicious. I also loved the pay a donation for a lemon and all proceeds go to the street cats. This will now be our new place to call into when we are on that side of the country.
S.I have tried a lot of places and Kelly’s Seafood make the best fish and chips I have found in New Zealand, and in my top 5 in the world. Liked them so much we’re moving to Waihi and they’ll soon be our local!

R.Some of the best fish and chips we have had. Not greasy and the egg burger was also yum. Hubby had the raw fish and loved it! The chap serving could be friendlier, lucky the kai made up for the service.
E.Food is really really good. Have been wishing for a old style burger and chips. They have them. Not greasy but big meaty patty beetroot lettuce shaved carrot tomato plus tomato sauce etc. Great atmosphere.
K.After living in Auckland for 40years, we moved to Waihi 6weeks ago and never looked back. We found Kellys Takeaways when first checking out the area and omg seriously it is the best fish n chip shop we have ever been to. We have tried 3 times now and each time has been superb. The fresh batter on the fish is yum, the chips are lovely, burgers sooo good even have beetroot, yum battered sausages. Everything is so fresh and tasty. The premises are spotless. It's nice to walk in they are friendly and chatty. Definitely have found our local chippy now. Cant wait for next time.
b.By far the best fish and chips that I've had ever. Its refreshing to know that there are still good old fashioned kiwi owned and ran fish and chip shops around. The burger was loaded and a decent size for the money. The batter was unique, crunchy, tasty and not oily. Exceeded my expectations by far. Well worth stopping in if your driving thru waihi.
H.Our second time to Kelly’s Seafood and it never disappoints. We asked for our fish to come grilled and was nicely done with garlic and butter and the chips was perfect. Service was great despite the rush hour.

K.It is great place of food and service. Food is really awesome with best friendly service. If you don’t try there fish and chips may be you will miss the best fish and chips in Waihi and Waihi Beach. I try all other fish and chips place. This place is always very busy you have to wait little bit in the serial . But if want some good food you have to. They got car parking just in front of this takeaway. Wheelchair friendly access and great friendly service.
