J.My in-laws have a place in Waihi and each time we visit/stay we make a stop at Tandoori Chambers! Every time we have been the food has been DELICIOUS. $10 lunch special is pretty much the mains (get very full) - service is friendly and wait times for food are short. Quality is still there with the speed. Make sure to stop here for lunch or dinner if you’re passing through or are in Waihi!

The food is great and reasonably priced and the staff are friendly with a good sense of humor.
There were three of us and the rice supplied for our meals was enough - not like some places where you have to almost beg for more.
They also have a good wine selection and the building is worth a look. Definitely would recommend having a meal here if your in Waihi.

K.This is the place of food with nice and cool drink in summer. This is my visit here with my boss and others. I always like Indian and other Asian food. This place make a awesome tandoori Chicken. Though there chilli chicken little bit sweet and sour test like Thai food. They got a nice location with lots of car parking. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. I will visit again you guys soon. Just love it.

J.I went in for the lunch special. Great value for a good sized lunch. The food was prepared well with a nice zing to it.
Looking over the menu, I found very reasonable pricing for the other service times, with a good variety of dishes from all over India.
The Drinks menu was ample... a good range of wines in stock, a variety of bottled beers, and spirits, both general bar and top shelf choices.
There is also a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
There is plenty of space for a large group bookings, and the bathroom facilities were clean.
A wheelchair access ramp was available at the front entrance.
The service was great and the atmosphere was casual.

C.Excellent ambience and excellent service. The food is what takes away a few stars. The recipes being used must be good since the food meets basic taste criteria in all areas except the meat. I had the chicken Biryani and the chicken korma. Both tasted great except the chicken was rubbery and improperly marinated. Presumably it was cooked separately and added to the curry towards the end of the preparation of the dish. This was the only con of an otherwise excellent experience. Would recommend to anyone in the area and the next time I visit if the chicken tastes better will upgrade to five stars.

m.First time to eat here at Tandoori Chambers was fantastic really enjoyed their food very tasty. One of the best Indian restaurants we have been to in a long time. Definitely will be back.

M.Took my wife dining for a curry at Tandoori Chambers. The restaurant is in one of the old Waihi buildings, may have an historic significant, with a very high ceiling. The decor is pleasing and the restaurant has a nice ambiance with contemporary easy-listening Indian music in the background. We ordered Tikka Masala chicken, mixed vegetable curry and Jalfrezi with garlic naan bread. I chose a Riesling to complement the food. The food was tasty and very satisfying. We ordered medium spicy, which hit our palates deliciously. An all-round enjoyable experience. Cost is about medium range and good value. Plenty of parking at the back of the building. Definitely recommend and we will be back to sample more curries and a good place to treat our guests.

K.The food did not have much spice to it. All mediums had no spice what so ever. Nice but no heat. Got a mango chicken which was great for the wee one as is sweet almost. The chicken sagwala had tandoori chicken in it which was very unusual and the sauce was brown rather than the traditional green.
Asked for one to be Indian hot, hotter still and it was fairly spicy but not by any means hot.
Overall nice flavours just missing the kick of heat.
