B.Wow. It’s absolutely gorgeous and very well looked after. The food is amazing, and the cafe is beautiful!
I first went here back in 2012 as a little girl, and I still remember it and have all the photos. So of course, I wanted to go back to see it now and it was so amazing!
The food was great and the people are lovely. It’s in a beautiful setting as well, the outdoor area is wonderful and the indoor area is cozy and lovely.
I recommend this cafe to everyone in Waikanae, it’s amazing and you will be so impressed!

D.Great food in a stylish setting with service that is without fuss. We had the ribeye and lamb, the latter being slightly underdone, however overall this is an excellent restaurant for all occasions, we will be back for sure.
L.Cannot fault the food both myself and my partner had entree main and dessert and all was delicious. Perfect portion sizes and perfect service. Only down fall was getting eaten alive by sand flies as door was open (it is a hot summer's night). Overall would definitely go back

J.Down from Auckland to spend Christmas at home with family, My son turn 20 while here so we decide to come to Maison 8 for dinner to celebrate.The staff were the friendliest I've ever had and very efficient. Meals were well presented and enjoyable. Easy access to car parking. Very quiet so you could enjoy you meal.
K.Lovely and warm on a cool day and surprisingly busy on a weekday. Food range is good... both cabinet food and menu. My fish meal was delicious tho fish portion was modest. My friend's pie was full of flavour but the base pastry texture seemed like it may have whizzed by a microwave? Lovely staff. Has a great deal for coffee and either a muffin or other baked item for $7 so looking forward to checking that out!

J.It's not often my wife and I go out for an upmarket dining experience, so when we do it is always a bonus that the place we choose really fits the bill, and Maison 8 certainly does. The ambience is very nice and the food is just perfect (based on what we ate). Highly recommended.
J.I go in there quite frequently for the beautiful food and amazing staff. They make the best coffee I have ever had and it is always served with a smile. I couldn't recommend this place more, whether it is for a coffee date, lunch or Dinner the food is always cooked perfectly with beautiful flavour. 10/10 would recommend :)
J.Lovely food, but 2 orders were muddled on our table of 6 & had to be re-prepared. On the other hand, one of our party was injured prior to our meal & they were solicitous of her welfare.

A.Went for mums 80th birthday lunch. 17 of us and had a wonderful lunch. Food, service and setting perfect. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and they went out of their way to make the day enjoyeable. They even cooked a special lunch for a vegan in the group. Highly recommended +++

K.We’ve had many meals here, lunches and dinners. We are always pleased with the menus and variation of meals. The vegetable side dishes are delicious and the service is always exceptional.
W.Called in for morning tea. Awesome value $8 large latte and choice of lovely baking. My strawberry muffin was delicious and a great coffee.
S.Great little spot on the old main road - which is now also quite peaceful since the expressway has diverted the bulk of the traffic. Has a quiet, old school cottagey ambience and a warm friendly vibe.
Oysters for starter were beautiful and fresh and the flat bread tasty though maybe a touch too dry. Lamb and Pork Belly for mains were both fantastic, well-balanced and generously sized portions which were helped down with a bottle of Mt. Monster Brut. Cappuccino crème brûlée for desert was an unsurprisingly rich but excellent bookend.
Service was both pleasent and efficient, though could have paid a little more attention following serving mains (you'll sell more drinks that way). The menu should be better updated online (it's not exactly extensive), and our table was a little wobbly.... but all-round and on balance an excellent experience and we'll definitely be back.

B.A most enjoyable experience was had at Mason 8 last night. A Lamb rump cooked perfectly and we'll seasoned, amalgamated well with the tasty vegetables of wilted spinach, beetroot and kumara/pumpkin puree. A delightful creme Brule finished the night perfectly.
