G.Recently purchased two of Samrat Indian Resturant key takeaway main meals: # 1. Vegetarian Korma and #2. a Beef Vindaloo. Side dishes were a Garlic Roti, two Garlic Naan and a bowl of Onion Bhaji. The main meal flavours were not quite right, plus the two Garlic Naan's being bland and doughy. The Roti was excellent as was the Onion Bhaji. Hopefully today's meal isn't reflective of Samrats normal Indian cuisine.
M.I have just had the most amazing meal with my family here, best curries we have ever eaten in NZ…perfect friendly service, cannot praise this place enough, will be back soon.

A.Ordered a meal on the phone. I Actually rang twice, a second time to confirm a detailed.. When I arrived they said the guy couldn't understand me so they didn't bother making it.
It would have been polite to just say that we can't make it on the phone.
I was on a time schedule, that's why I rang ahead. Service not so sharp, not sure about the food as I walked out, so I could get to my appointment in time.
J.They have upped their game a lot recently this would be a 5 but I am waiting to see if the recent improvement in taste continues.

M.I'm not one to leave reviews usually but oh my gosh the indian that we ordered last night was absolutely amazing. I just wanted to thank you for keeping your food of such a high standard and a huge thank you to the chefs who go to all the hard work of prepping the food properly. The spice levels were perfect for us (perhaps the extra hot a little hotter) but that's the only thing we could pick up on.
You're amazing, your service is amazing and we're extremely happy and will be back again and again.
I really wanted to let you know, and I'll definitely spread the word that you're worth the trip to get a yummy indian, spiced correctly and marinated to perfection 😊

J.We were very impressed by our dinner at this restaurant, our first visit (we are touring New Zealand from Canada.) The menu is extensive, and all main dishes can be ordered mild, medium, hot or extra hot. We loved both our main dishes, lamb and potato curry, and chicken chilli, ordered medium, as well as raita. The charming manager (from Punjab) talked us into her home-made dessert, a delicious frozen mango dish. Local beers paired well with these choices. The main chef has worked in a 5 star Indian restaurant in Dubai. While we were there many clients picking up take-out meals.
j.Small, friendly, great food. Absolutely worth detouring off the Expressway for. Don't set your expectations to big city eatery standards, this is a laid back local Indian that tries hard and delivers a wonderfully relaxed experience.

J.We ate at Samrat tonight and were more than happy with our meals. I had King Prawn Malabari (mild) and my husband had Chicken Tikka Masala (medium), both were delicious! It came with rice and we ordered a Keema Naan, naan bread filled with lamb mince. I love the mango lassi, mmmm, you have to try it, it's one of life's pleasures. :-)

T.You wont find a better Keema Naan place in all of NZ, I mean it, you goto any other Keema Naanplace and try for yourself, all others taste like cardboard. I also found you can actually buy there bases at moore Wilsons aswell, so you can make your own Keema Naanat home and still have the great Keema Naan base flavour, however its not the same as a woodfired with that hint of manuka, a peice of italy right here, awesome..
