Best fish and chips/chinese in Otago that I've had. Burgers are massive and everything always tastes fresh. Lived in Dunedin for a long time and better than anything you'll get there. Lovely owners also.

The shops had a tidy up which is good 👍 Blue cod, Scallops and Kumara chips were perfect. There is a nice Macro table inside to dine at as well.

An awesome chippy place. They have couple of vegetarian options. If you are a vegetarian, go for their veggie noodle soup. It can be made as vegan on request.

Friendly helpful service and excellent food. The fish tasted fresh & succulent (& a healthy size), mini spring rolls were tasty n scrumptious, sausage was great, plus chips were perfect & plentiful! Definitely worth the stop.

Some of the best fried fish I have ever had. Ordered the Elephant and Cod with chips and split the bluff oysters. Seriously, it’s so good, fish taste so fresh and the prices weren’t bad at all. Definitely recommending this place to those who go on vacation to New Zealand. The staff was also very friendly, location is off a main road and has free WiFi. Definitely try the oysters and cod, very good taste.

In waikouaiti there is not a lot of places to eat at, but the Fish Inn could compete with any take out restaurant in any big city. The food is well priced , the staff are great and the food is amazing.

Local who has been here for the last 3 owners. Standards have greatly improved with the new owners! They do amazing food and the Asian based Dishes are a bit of a specialty!

The blue cod was delicious - so fresh. Next time we'll try some of the other offerings on the menu.

Amazing, fresh, light, succulent experience

They have a awesome selection of fresh seafood and lots of vegetarian options including jalapeños poppers!! My friend got an extra scallop too. The fish was apparently really yummy. The service was outstanding and they let us refill our water too. Highly recommend this place :)

After a typical awe inspiring drive along the coast the Fish Inn was our target location. The food was incredibly tasty...everything made fresh. The owner was very helpful in explaining the different fish options..coming from Canada the fish are not quite the same. Ask for chicken salt instead of regular salt. You won't regret. The end result was enjoyed sitting outside in the company of some very entertaining seagulls.

Pretty standard small town take away and the Chinese dishes were extremely nice and good portions.
