Absolutely amazing food and the service is fantastic. The take away shop is small and few outdoor seating area which is not suitable on rainy day. Food delicious for the prize you pay. It is however more famous for tip top cone ice cream. The amount of ice cream you get is so much that it'll blow your mind. The only disappointment is they do not have rest rooms for customers. Otherwise everything else is just awesome.

Best chip shop donut I've ever had in my whole life.

The biggest ice cream in a cone that I've ever eaten, recommend that you have a kid's size one...unfortunately there was a limited selection of flavors, possibly due to time of the day, late afternoon. Wide selection of menu options to choose from....waited 10 minutes to get served.

Friendly staff and clean takeaways. Unfortunately the fish that we paid $7.40 a piece for when we visited was very dry and the batter chewy. We threw it out. Not sure if it was because we visited closer to 8pm and perhaps they were running low or using older fish. The chicken fillet burger was fine. Will probably visit again but will order less fish next time to taste check first, as it may have been a one-off.

Great food, easy parking. Best pineapple fritter of my life. Burgers are huge with a proper salad. Chips are perfect. Stoked to find such a gem close to home. Will definitely be back.

Love this place purely for the humungus comedy ice creams! Brought a kiddies ice cream for my 3 year old moko and it was still way to big. We had 2 scoops and they were literally gigantic!

Wow... information overload. Even after my first visit, I get over-powered by the menus and "deals available". Even the humble 'chips' is offered in three basic volume/package.... and also being given a choice of four salts/seasonings. Friendly, helpful staff. Quick service. Tasty kai... And then there were a challenging range of fish to choose from... shellfish and other seafood left me 'floundering'... Some off-street shared parking. Great range of ice cream 'in a cone'. Eight flavours at several price levels. Small service area/waiting area - but order numbering system allows for waiting outside. 10? 12? outside tables with seats. A lovely shared community space to enjoy chips, drink and icecream in no rush.

Giant icecream! What more is there to say, a must stop location for anyone travelling the far north and open fairly late

Really good fish and chips. My partner got a 2 scoop ice cream and I swear there were 5 scoops on the cone she got 😅

When having been in Awanui for the day and heading home, we stopped at Highway 10 Seafood Takeaways for something to eat. We arrived close to closing time but the lady at the counter was more than accommodating. We ordered Cheese burgers and Chips. The burger was home made and was a succulent beef pattie, tomato sauce, 2 slices of cheese, frilly lettuce, mayo, crisp raw onions, beetroot, grated carrots and tomatoes. We opted for Chicken salt on our perfectly fried crunchy fresh chips. Would definitely call in again next time we are in the area.

Best staff, all heart. Excellent value for money and really good food. You won't regret stopping here!! Our fav is the large hoki, perfectly cooked, excellent quality and size! We drive an hour and a half just to have their fish and chips because its worth it😁 thanks guys

Great food! Had a real & homemade Paua Fritter! I've only ever had the pre-frozen type & man what a difference! Just yummy! And the accompaniments were divine <3 Of course we had a huge ice cream, single scoop we shared :-D Thoroughly recommend!!!

The best place to buy ice cream in a cone. Food is typically deep-fried, friendly people with lots of helpful local information. Benches to sit outside and enjoy your food and listen to the noisy traffic, tough luck if it's raining(run for the car ) Burgers were not bad value.

Rather expensive for what you get. Maybe I was just there on a bad day.

Food: Delicious food, decent prices, sometimes their fries can be a bit too salty, so a tip from me, just ask to ease up on the salt. Apart from that with everything else you won't be disappointed. Fast service! Best take away far north in Waipapa. I suggest to stop there if you get the chance🙂👍

Really friendly & the guy there was very funny. Had the macaroni cheese & slow cooked pork. Plenty for the two of us to share. Good grub!

Excellent food, all able to be customized if you have any specific dietary requirements. They have everything from Mac 'n cheese to nachos, to fresh seafood and even fried mushrooms. Friendly staff and a nice eating area out in the sun.

Nice fresh fish selection but didnt see a $30 feed in a piece of greasy fish and a seafood basket. Food is definitely nicer when the older gent (possibly the owner?) is cooking.

Awesome two year ago I started working at orangewood let kiwifruit packed house and still remember order milkshake so divine and Mac cheese were right top nachio was awesome very taste feel cheif put love in food burger was beautiful real meat try few on menu yes can't wait order lunch super taste

Seafood doesn’t taste fresh, chips taste double dipped or cooked in old oil but the ice creams are huge and are tip-top so delicious.

Wow if you love Icecream this is the place to visit. One adult scoop is so huge it would be a normal stores Triple. But very cheap. Delicious
