The best fish and chip shop in Hawkes Bay. Whanau business been coming here for years when up from Wellington always a treat to come here when visiting family in Raupunga . Fish and chips are never like this in Wellington...... ever. If passing through call in you will not be disappointed 10/10 simply the best !!!!

Wow, after 50 years later and the fish and chips are still amazing. Lived in Wairoa 50 years ago and visiting family. We just had a go back to Ponderosa for fish and chips whilst in Wairoa and they are still wondering and amazing value for money. Well done Ponderosa for having the ability to keep something so wondering going after 50 years. It's not just about the excellent value fish and chips but also about the memories.

Fast service, fish was fresh, cooked beautifully, chips were hot, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside just the way they should be. All cooked in fresh oil or fat. It was very tasty.😊
