So yummie, ordered and paid over the phone and got our food delivered for free (when you spend over $30), was ready so fast too. Natasha was so lovely to talk to :)

The staff are all friendly and very helpful. However, I ordered a beef wellington and was expecting the usual - however what I got was roast beef and mushroom in a pastry pocket. Now it was still delicious but it wasn't a beef wellington in terms of the cut of meat and the preparation. The other people I went with ordered the lamb pasta and the steak which were pretty tasty. I felt a bit mislead by the beef wellinton menu item.

Got the camembert and Roast beef as takeaway. Both were great, camembert even came with garlic bread and salad. The young guy on the phone was a bit confused over times but very friendly and helpful as was the staff member when I picked it up. Size of meal to price was great. Will be back and for dine in next time.

We have dined in and have done take out recently. Both experiences were great. Service is friendly and during covid restrictions they were amazing. Food we have had has been wonderful - generous in size and great pricing. Beef Wellington, pork belly, ribs, sticky date pudding and few other dishes (those most recent that I can recommend all these).

I really loved my first time experience at Shires, the girls were very friendly, and went out of their way to cook up a vegan dish that was not on the dinner menu, get me wrong if I were. The atmosphere that night was warm and very comfortable. My husband liked as well, I would recommend to family and friends Shire is really nice place to have dinner out, amazing!!!.

We celebrated my Fathers 97th Birthday at The Shires last night, it's his favourite, so there was no question as to where we were going. Deb the owner always makes us feel welcome. We had Chicken Parmigiana, Grilled Snapper and Pork Porchetta, all top notch. The service was friendly and efficient. We asked if they would make a Carrot cake as his birthday cake and it is amazing. We highly recommend The Shires.

Very good food, not too long to wait. My chicken dish was superb, although at $26 I would have liked more vegetables. The dish was excellent, chicken was moist and tender. My desert of tiramisu was excellent, light, fluffy, well presented. Overall a very nice experience. Be aware that this place is on the more expensive side, but you get excellent quality.

On the 16th July my husband & I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary, however he is currently in a private hospital in Waiuku. I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to get a nice dinner for us to celebrate this special occasion. The team at The Shires not only cooked a delicious meal but also delivered it to the hospital. This helped make our evening very special. I will be recommending them to our friends and family.

Great food, attentive well informed service from Deb & her English county shires style team, very warm comfortable atmosphere. Tables have plenty of space. Good portion sizes, nicely presented with fresh vegetables and in good time. All round a very pleasant dining experience.

Very friendly staff and great service. Large selection of beers and wine. Food is traditional gastro pub type food. The seafood chowder as a starter is particularly good. Wood go here again and would recommend to others. Children's meal were also high quality.

Online order and free delivery which is awesome however the food was awful. We ordered fish and chips, kids meal and a few deserts. The only thing that was decent in the entire order was the hot chips, everything else was terrible.
