A.A great place to try after a day at the beach. The service was amazing, super friendly staff that really looked after us. The meals were large and delicious. For two of us, we had two large and one small plate. The kids had the kids meals and devoured it. I couldn't take some photos of the food as everyone had their hands in it cleaning it out 😂
K.Love the new decor and ambiance each area creates. We chose 4 small plates between 2 of us which may not have allowed us to apprieciate their full menu. I think we may need to go back to try some large plates. The smaller sharing plates were good I would recommend the wok tossed greens they were delish. A plate of those to yourself would be a great side. The Green Rice Prawns are also a treat. To keep them crispy we didn't use the dipping sauce too much. All in all this is a great new choice for eating out in Warkworth and great service.

We had the Banana Leaf Buffet and it was absolutely divine! Food & presentation was superb, as was the hosting. Treat yourself to something from the excellent drinks menu. The non-alcoholic coconut thick shake was sublime. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
C.Fabulous location gorgeous French windows looking over the river and native trees just beautiful. Excellent service here. Restaurant is well decorated good vibe and very inviting great for those special occasions with a group also. Food is delicious but only one thing to watch with chef please reduce the salt in the meals and then you'll be spot on, nit everyone needs it and it can be added thats all!
T.Had heard great things but left disappointed. Even though booked days ahead we were placed outside and felt ‘forgotten’. if you like hot chilli then you’ll love this menu. Too hot for me. Please do something with that Soft shell crab sauce - if you like neat fish paste then you’ll love it! Nice vibe and everyone friendly - maybe I just chose badly.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lamb Marsala which was so tasty and melt in the mouth tender, quite a contrast to the very hard tough onion bahji on top. I feel it would have been nicer with fresh herbs or small garnish instead. The menu was small but perfectly formed with something for everyone and many things for this convert to enjoy on return visits.

Wow I wasn’t expecting such deliciousness, thoroughly enjoyed even by the kids. The Korean chicken and squid were favorites.
The meals came out super fast. Within 15 mins of ordering.
I always appreciate the places that provide colouring for the kids so another bonus.
D.This place is a gem. Lovely old building great staff and service and most importantly the food is fantastic. I forgot to take a photo of my starter bit it was nice. The main meals were lovely and I finished with a stout over ice cream. Who would have thought. Jamie Robert's invention he tells me.
T.Get ready for a compliment sandwich… Such an awesome looking place with so so much potential! The curry was great but some of the food needs a bit of a tweak like the coating on the squid and prawns for example. And the drinks… sooo delish but so so tiny for the price.

A.The first time I visited and only did takeaway. Big mistake! The family loved it and called it restaurant food at home. Even my teenage children were raving about the quality of the food. Not cheap but highly recommended!

G.Popped up to Warkworth for a little dinner with the family - me, my wife, our 9 year old and our 19 month old baby.
We saw the Wharf Street Bistro located innocuously near the river and thought it looked like a quiet little cafe doing dinners.
Surprise surprise this is a well serviced bistro with an excellent kitchen and friendly attentive staff situated in a location that can be relaxed, romantic, family friendly or even suitable for a business lunch.
We settled in to a bay seat with plenty of room. We were made to feel very comfortable with some lovely big cushions for Sienna to cuddle up in (no baby chair with was THE only minus but they recognised their deficit and I guess they will be rectifying it soon).
The menu was tantalising - everything we could want covering fish ( I had a pan fried special that was perfect), my wife had the Paella and our daughter had chicken from the kids menu...talking of which the mandatory colouring in gear appeared within seconds of our arrival. We also got the olives - excellent, and the potato waffle chips which are sinfully more-ish.
Drinks list covered the bases, with a selection of local beers and wines (Ransom & Sawmill) as well as a decent range of premium product and a couple of reasonable wines by the glass (our go to). They also offered some attractive cocktail specials (innovative Margarita and Daquiri options)...for next time.
We didn't do dessert but we will because the list is totally enticing and we will return to devour it.
In addition to the gorgeous menu and lovely staff, I need to mention chilli. We love fresh hot chilli...chopped, untainted, flavoursome. This is the FIRST restaurant where we have been provided, in addition to the fresh medium hot red chilli we requested (Im guessing Hungarian paprika chili), additional fresh jalapeño slices...a perfect condiment to accompany our seafood dishes...a bit of bite but nothing ruthless.
Bottom line, this place is a gem. Great location, great food, welcoming staff, perfect dining tunes...yes...Warkworth has eats covered.

A.A bit expensive but good culinary experience as far as the cooking was concerned. Quite limited seating so it pays to book especially for a larger group. There were 8 of us.
Had the Duck breast served with potato gratin, asparagus and a rich jus. The such breasts were perfectly cooked and the combination with the accompaniments was well balanced in terms of its flavour. The rest of the group had lamb rump, the fish of the day, squid and tacos. Everybody lived what they ordered.
Would definitely come again and confidently recommend the Wharf Street Bistro.

V.Our night at Wharf Street Bistro was shared with two new friends who frequent this place often. The service is very good and tentative. We started with squid deep fried in a light crumb with a side salad. I must admit, the side salad was very good, the squid was a little dry, but made up with dipping sauce. Our mains came just in time. I had the steak which was med rare, an abundance of roasted potatoes, rocket and three seared prawns on top. This was their take on Surf and Turf. I was expecting a little more surf for the price we paid, but the overall meal was good. At the end was able to fit in their chocolate mousse. A bitter sweet taste with strawberries, blueberries and compote finished the night off. Along with our wonderful dining partners, we had a very lovely night.

A.We dined here last night as a party of four. The service was very attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. My husband had the steak which he said was the best he has had in several years. Everyone else was very pleased with their meals, which included dessert which was worth every calorie. Compliments to the chef(s) on a great dining experience. We will certainly be back.

Das beste Bistro in dem ich je gegessen habe. Eine sehr übersichtliche Speisekarte aber der Fischteller den wir gegessen hatten konnte mit der französisch Sterneküche mühelos mithalten ohne das man dabei arm wird.
Auch das geröstete Knoblauch Brot als Vorspeise und die Tiramisu waren vorzüglich.
Nicht zu vergessen der perfekte Kaffee. Wir hatten schon lange nicht mehr so guten bekommen. Die Athmosphäre war sehr angenehm mit leichter dezenter Musik direkt am Flussufer mit Blick auf die Boote.
Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis und ein muss wenn man gerne gut essen möchte.
