M.Fantastic Kebabs. Delicious rotisserie chicken, bread wrap heated perfectly, good salad selection and tasty sauces. Simple but a sensory delight. If you’re after a Kebab or Iskender or Shish Kebab or even a Baklava and Turkish coffee, then you can’t do better.
R.By far the best in town. The kebab I had today was HUGE, juicy and delicious. Recommend highly.
V.I love this place. Good food, nice people. The staff is friendly. It's a family based business and all of them work hard to provide a good service to the customers. If you like Turkish food or are keen to try and get to know some basics of Turkey just give it a try and go there.
M.Amazing place to have donor kaibab or some middle eastern food. It's not very expensive. The staff were friendly it's usually a very busy place during lunch. You might find a decent wait. Long queue. It's a definite recommendation from me.

M.This is one of the best Turkish restaurants in Wellington Central. I have visited many other Turkish places in Welly but this is the best one. The food is tastiest and so much in quantity in a very reasonable price in the heart of the city. The pictures are of Chicken Iskender and Chicken Shish Kebab. The food is fresh and very healthy. A must try spot in Wellington for a lunch or a dinner.

G.They offer eat in and takeaway but I've only tried the takeaway. The lamb kebabs are lovely, the hummus, sauces, salads and breads are all delicious. Generous portions of food are a very reasonable price. Great zucchini fritters too.

A.Dear God!... How have I not been told about Alaturka before?... It had been about 10 years since I've had a kebab due to the fact I thought I hated them. (I've tried a number in the UK and just didn't enjoy them.)
These kebabs are something else though, just beautiful meat that doesn't feel drenched in fat and you can even choose up to 3 sauces to put in your kebab (they have a selection of about 15 in total).
Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back soon.

Pro-tip: due to the compact dimensions of the shop, the unofficial waiting area for takeaway orders is in the lobby of the neighboring Petherick Tower.

G.One of the best places to have Kekabs in Wellington, the meat and chicken here will be too good to taste. The burgers are have good quantities of chicken and fresh salad....too good for Kebabs. Must try for sure !

A.Good bites. They provide delicious turkish sandwiches. The kabab is amazing. Big portion for money. Handy for people who are woking in Welly CBD. They provide Halal food as they mentioned. I haven't seen any Halal certificate in the place.

S.Food: I ordered chicken iskender at Alaturka. The quantity was really good, more than other Turkish restaurants offer. Usually chicken iskender is not offered with Turkish bred but at Alaturka, they serve iskender with bread.
Ambience: The restaurant is quite peaceful. The restaurant is simple but nicely kept.
Service: The staff was incredibly friendly and catered us well.
Overall, we had a really good experience at Alaturka. Whether it was food or service. I recommend to visit Alaturka if you are looking for authentic Turkish cuisine.
K.Went in today for the first time! Ordered a chicken Iskender and chips. Super friendly and fast service. Barely sat down before my food was ready! When we came in a customer was giving the staff grief about his meal. But they handled everything so professionally and didn’t let that ruin their service :) such good food 👌🏼
N.Big portion, reasonably priced meals, what's not to love? Lots of folks who work in the area come here for lunch around noon, so if you want to avoid a big queue, come in before or after the lunch rush.
M.Best kebabs in town. Owner bit stressed at lunchtime no time for chit chat which is a shame as it takes away from the whole pleasant experience. He jsut wants to serve all as quick as he can can but can be rude doing so.

P.Best Shish in Wellington the chicken and the lamb are great. I have tried loads of other places and always come back to this one. The decor is a little dated with old posters and stuff but the food and the service is top notch they get real busy at noon but are open till 9pm so i sometimes go for evening meals.
