Pricey n portion is small. Sad looking salad and miso soup. Staffs looks very rush and just chucked 3 spoons on table for miso soup upon request. Do they expect us to drink out of the bowl@ below expectation. Credit card charge 2%. Not recommended. Many other better eating place in town.

We came here while visiting for WOAP and I was very excited to try the crayfish ramen. Unfortunately it was super busy so the staff weren't very attentive and I'm told by a friend "the food wasn't up to it's usual high standard". The crayfish ramen was a bit of a letdown too but would be keen to go back when they're not as busy to give it another go.

The food is nice, I've been here a few times and each time the food is good.
It can be spicy which surprised me and others around me as I gave a cough as the spice hit the back of my throat.
Wasn't keen on the water on the last night when we were there as it tasted like bad tap water. Maybe the lemons they had in it was off.

So I was kind of iffy about this place because of the reviews, but I really wanted to try their VISAWOAP crayfish ramen. Absolutely delicious. At first it was okay but the more I ate, the more I wanted. Broth was top notch. Ramen was cooked nicely with still a bit of chew to it. Service was okay, but looking at the opening times, they probably work 12+ hours a day 7 days a week so I'd feel the same way too.

Went here on Saturday of labour weekend so it was quite busy, but we were seated quickly and all things considered the service wasn't to bad. Being on Courtney place, you get the usual mix of revellers, 21st birthday or hen parties, students and young lovers. So it has a real buzz and energy to it. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, but being Japanese cuisine the portions were on the medium to smaller side. I was with a group and while it was hectic we could at least have a conversation without having to yell to be heard. It was fun, possibly not for you if you are seeking some where quiet and intimate. I would go again, but not so much for the food...

Very good restaurant.
Good and fast service, delicious food and short waiting time. We tried the chicken ramen and the presentation was gorgeous. Will definitely be coming again.

We love this place, byo wine, delicious Japanese food and a great vibe. Can get very busy on Friday/Saturday nights but stuff handle it well.

This restaurant isn't fantastic, but I keep.coming back and have been doing so for nearly 10 years.
Why? The food isn't anything special. At best, it's at the good end of average. The restaurant itself is often very noisy (especially if there are groups - it's popular with groups because they allow BYO), and the staff are busy. On the other hand, service is quick, and the prices are very reasonable. I think that's why I keep coming back. This place is reliable - not great food, but ok, inexpensive and fast.
