One of my all time favourites. Aside from being 100% vegan, all their dishes are an absolute delight and don't break the bank. Personnel is friendly as and always willing to go the extra mile for a guest.

Mock chicken laksa was very tasty, highly recommend. I also liked their fried dumplings. The only dish I wouldn’t recommend is char kway teow, I find that less flavoursome comparing to the other two dishes.

I've been eating at this amazing family owned restaurant for over a decade, it's definitely stood the test of time. The menu hasn't really changed much since, and it really doesn't have to. This place is incredibly affordable and homely. All the other attempts at vegan fried rice in Wellington simply can't compete with their Nasi Goreng. Their piping hot Laksa is well worth the wait it takes to cool down.

One of my favorite places to eat in Wellington. They do the most amazing food and even my most carnivorous friends love this place. The dining area has a casual and lively vibe and the staff are always friendly. They do pickup takeaways, too. Can't recommend enough!

Love it! This vege food is to die for. Any dish, take your pick. Don't be put off by the unappealing interior decor (or lack of). The delicious food will have you seeing past that and going back for more. We've been coming here for years. Our go-to dishes are Nasi Goreng Curry Paste with hot chilli paste on the side (Only for those that like seriously hot chilli!) and the Laksa. So damned morish.

I can't praise Aunty Mena's highly enough. I've eaten here several times, and everything was spectacular (especially the Laksa and Dumpling Laksa). Everything is cooked fresh to order at the front of the restaurant, the staff are warm and welcoming, and you can taste how much love and care goes into the food.

Went on a Thursday at 1830 and the place was packed, but we got a table for two quite quickly. We ordered the nuggets for $8 and two mains which were about $13 each. All the food was delicious, portions were pretty huge and service was good and quick.

Aunty Mena’s is the perfect place to go if you want to be looked after. “Soul Food” doesn’t even begin to describe the kinds of meals they serve; I always come away feeling satisfied and very happy after their delicious kai! Try the Roti Canai with potato, you will not be disappointed!

Good vegan Asian food. It's not too expensive and you get a lot for what you pay for. I spent $40 and ended up with dinner, lunch and dinner the next night. The satay sticks are my favorite. It gets pretty busy as its quite popular, so be prepared to wait a little bit if you are more than 2 people

Even if you’re not vegan, you owe it to yourself to at least try a meal this legendary establishment, which has kept its quality up even now! Most folks go for laksa soup, but I much prefer the curries, especially the “lamb” and “fish!” Also make sure not to skip the vegan chicken drumsticks, which are some kind of delicious black magic. The sago dessert is also very nice for a finish!

If you are searching for Wellington’s physical manifestation of the Source, look no further than Aunty Mena’s. The steamed buns can heal childhood traumas, the curry noodle can mend broken bones and the roti chenai can be used to communicate with the dead. Value for money if you ask me. This place is legendary for a reason! I love coming on a night out with friends, or just grabbing some takeaway for a quick lunch. Laksa, char kway teow, drumsticks, veggie balls, wonton/dumpling soup... all standout dishes!! Nice big portions and both dishes were great. Everything on the menu is vegan so so much to choose from. Staff were friendly. The staff are super onto it too, and food always comes out quickly.

I ordered my curry hot and it was, but the flavour was very boring, I think all they did was add chilli. The sauce was thin too, so I didn't get the contrasting textures that I really enjoy in a good nasi lemak. My dining partner was also unimpressed by his curry laksa, he thought that the vegetables weren't integrated flavour wise.

It makes you feel like you're interacting with someone on your level, maybe a little bit above you. After all, this person manages a busy popular restaurant...what have you done with your life? Went there for a late lunch on a weekday and what a great experience. They served me the best mee goreng I’ve ever had and what a bonus that it was vegetarian! The service was super quick and my friend ordered the curry noodles which I had a taste of and it was also super duper yummy. I would definitely go back and recommend anyone to go there because not only is it quick and delicious but also very affordable. It’s a nice casual place and they have a bathroom. It’s quite clean and cozy inside and you can sit and have a convo without feeling rushed. Aunty Menas is definitely in my top 2 of Wellington eateries.

My favourite restaurant in Wellington. Everything on the menu is vegan. Loads of tasty and filling Malaysian and Chinese cuisine, run by a Buddhist family. There used to be three generations in the kitchen but it looked like they were down to two at my most recent visit. You'll get a good quantity of food, so go hungry. My favourite is the Roti Chanai with Soya Slice Curry, honourable mention to the Fried Kway Teaw. My partner swears by the mock chicken laksa. The only thing they don't do a lot of choice in is desserts (there's Sago Malacca, but that's it). If you're more of a cake person, head up the street to Midnight Espresso, where there are usually a few vegan cake options on the counter.
