F.
Truly a treat to dine here and the food just sung, beautiful flavours so perfectly balanced and well thought through. The staff were equally brilliant.
L.
Seriously could not fault it. Amazing food, very tasty and well presented. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Top stuff!

Thank you Baili-Ann and Bellamys team!
It was another superb dining experience. We had the Cow’s Milk Stracciatella, Kind fish crudo as starter. Both dishes were so delicate, tasty and beautifully presented.
We had Angus Pure Beef fillet to follow with sides of Portobello mushrooms and the Truffle oil Hand cut fries (always my special sides treats). The fillets were cooked at perfection, just pure taste buds joy.
The asparagus were al dente as I love them.
We wrapped with the delicious vanilla meringue dessert and were treated with extra chocolate tasting as it was my birthday.
Wine recommendations were excellent too !
I am keeping a keen eye on the next Wine Producer dinner in 2022 :)
Thank you again and happy holidays to Josh, Baili-Ann, the Kitchen team, Front of House team and everyone who make this unique experience possible. Times are challenging for the industry and yet, you made it seamless. Bravo! Marion & Yoan

Amazing service, exceptionally tasty food. Highlights were the whisky, Manuka rib eye and the mushrooms. These are also the best truffle fries in wellington.

The service was very nice. I ordered the pork belly for the entree. It was beautifully cooked. The carrot puree served along with it was so light and beautiful. For the main course, I ordered the market fish, once again it was beautifully cooked with an amazing crispy skin served in a lovely broth. For my dessert I ordered the dark chocolate cremeux, buttermilk mint ice cream along with different textures of chocolate and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Overall I enjoyed the experience. Would love to go again.

Just had dinner with my wife at Bellamy's. The food was very nice, well presented and locally sourced which made it a unique experience. Service was very friendly with a great view. Certainly a nice place to unwind and enjoy a great meal.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion with my family. We had 3 course bistro menu. Every course of food was absolutely delicious. When I expressed my interest to meet the chef, head chef Joshua Ross greeted us personally at our table and we are delighted to meet this young humble culinarian.
A huge thank you to the team for the scrumptious dinner and the evening was evey thing we hoped it to be. Special mention to Kate and Jasper for being wonderful hosts. Can't wait to dine in at this place again.

Enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner at Bellamys with three friends. The steaks were perfection and the smoked entree was a beautiful bit of theatre. It was great looking out onto the gardens and buildings of Parliament (try to get a window seat!), and having to go through Beehive security added a bit of adventure of our visit! The restaurant staff were excellent and we were very well looked after.

We went to have a dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday 1 month ago.
First of all, we were excited just getting into Beehive and we had a amazing view from the restaurant.
Secondly the dishes were beautiful and delicious and simple. and wines are great as well. But they are not so expensive.
We were looking for such a restaurant in Wellington, because we are from france so we are really gourmet! We weren't satisfied other restaurants even which has Hat though, we really enjoyed this restaurant. and every staff are very kind. Thank you so much.

I brought my best friend for her birthday in March and we had a fantastic experience. I wish I had taken photos :) we had the fish ceviche as starter and it was very fresh and nicely balanced. Fritters were also divine! For main course, I fell for the beef filet which was superb and I indulged in the Parmesan and truffle oil chips with perfectly cooked Portobello mushroom. Very tasty.
My friend had the fish of the day and she loved it.
The meals are served with a home-baked dough which is total abundance.
Our bellies being totally satisfied we shared the banana sorbet dessert - do dare this dessert even if you are full, you won't regret it!
Good wine selection and prices are very reasonable for a fine-dining experience. Our waiter had a nice sense of humour, a lovely kiwi vibe with little attentions that are part of fine-dining experience.
I will be back.

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE
The heirloom tomato starter was divine, all of the ingredients creating a merry medley in the mouth - the most memorable bits being the shaved fennel bulb - which were crispy wisps of freshness, crunchy toasty pine nuts, sprigs of fennel fronds, and a swath of tangy balsamic gracing the edges of the plate - not overpowering, just playing its part in the orchestra. Creamy stratiatella tied it all together and mellowed out the strong flavours. Crispy sourdough shards added yet another layer of flavour and texture. This is probably the best starter/entree I’ve ever had, and I would have happily eaten a larger portion and made it a meal. But then I would have missed out on the…
Agnolotti (stuffed with creamy, gentle goat cheese) swimming in a gorgeous, vibrant herb sauce, topped with generous amounts of charred corn (fresh off the cob) and crispy onions- I could have eaten a bowl full of those onions. The dish was beautifully presented with tiny, delicate lavender flowers dotted around. I’ll be having sweet dreams about that dish for a while. If I’m being extremely picky - and let’s face it: of course I am - the pasta was just a hair too thick. However, it did not take away the extreme pleasure I derived from devouring this dish. It rocked my face off.
My partner had the lamb and enjoyed it very much. I tried the smoky eggplant purée that was dotted on his plate and it was fab. I also absconded with his crispy kale chips and I could have eaten a bowl of those, too.
The peach tart had ambitious dreams of being better than it actually turned out. More vanilla custard, fresh peaches and a thinner crust next time? When you eat a peach dessert you want to get punched in the face with peachy flavour, not have it be a side note. My partner had the chocolate cremeux. I tried it and almost passed out from the pleasure.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t give the spent grain sourdough bread a mention. It was so delightfully sour, surely the starter is an heirloom passed down through the generations. This is a truly ‘sour’dough bread and, boy, does it have a gorgeous crust and a moist, chewy inside. Do yourself a favour and buy a loaf and savour it over the weekend - make some cheesy scrambled eggs with fresh chives and serve it on top of buttery slices of toast. Make some lovely grilled cheese sandwiches (toasties) with vintage cheddar and slices of fresh tomato.
As for the decor... look, if it was my restaurant I’d probably do it up a bit, but you know what? She doesn’t really need a makeover. She’s old school, she’s historical, she is what she is and she’s a classy gal. I love how quiet the place is, as I detest noisy restaurants. I also detest hard wooden chairs, so I was delighted with how comfy the chairs are. We had a dreamy corner table with a nice view.
There was a good wait time between courses. The staff clearly loves the food and happily discusses it with you, they’re happy to be there, they’re proud of the restaurant and the food and they want to share that joy with their guests. I was so touched by their hospitality that I almost cried. I’m not even joking. Best service I have EVER received in a restaurant. They are true hospitality professionals. I have to give a nod to our lovely server, Kat. She’s amazing!
Even with the few lows (and they were very mild lows) the highs were so high that the 5 stars is plenty deserved. It takes a lot to impress me, and I was absolutely blown away by the food and the service. Bellamy’s is now my favourite Welly restaurant whose match I have yet to meet. Lest I forget... the superb chocolate truffles they give you at the end is such a lovely touch and a true hallmark of their hospitality. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

Waitress was awesome and told us all about our meals. Gnocchi was incredible, as was cured market fish. Mint sorbet SO delicious! Each dish tasty and unique!

My friend and I really enjoyed our experience at Bellamys. We had 3 courses each and they were all was absolutely delicious and well presented. The interior is timeless and it was really cool to be able to dine in Beehive building.

Service was impeccable.
Food as good as you can get in Wellington.
I would definitely recommend dining here.
No trouble to access if you make a reservation.
I am glad this is open to the public which I only recently learned.
L.
Very very impressed, we had a large group and received such a high standard of service. Everyone loved the food and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely be recommending Bellamys! Thank you!

For my last night in Wellington and almost last one in New Zealand, it was a really nice dinner.
Thank you to all team, Josh the chef, Emily the waitress.
Everything is good. Reminds me of food from Peru for the entrée, and french-european food for the rest, I really liked it and loved it.
Thanks for the nice meal.

A perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Being in the beehive adds to the experience and mystique of a culinary adventure. Only thing missing was live music by a pianist or other string instrument 😉

The service was good. Beyond the unusual location, the venue itself isn't really nice, without much atmosphere. The food was good, but not great. Overall is was a disappointment, unfortunately.
