Great experience. Used first table for the first time. Booked 2pm lunch. Got 50% on the food. Paid for drinks in full. Super food, well presented. Correctly priced. Great ambience. Will definitely revisit when in the capital.

Loved the outdoor space. Lack of shade was definitely an issue so would be aware but they provide sunscreen & visors, so all you need are your sunnies. Aside from that, service was wonderful and the vibe was great.

Great selection of beers on tap, ranging from your typical lager to IPA's, pilsner etc. I was there on a Monday and they were running a special where you could get a burger and a beer (specific ones) for $25 which is a pretty good deal considering the burgers are usually that alone. Staff was nice and the atmosphere was good.

Good spot for some comfort food like a burger and fries. Went here for lunch and enjoyed my meal! The pulled pork burger was nice and there were generous portions. Tasty food and quick service. I would come back and try some of their other menu items and a beer!

Hard to be part of a big group here as there are walls and posts in the way all over the place but the feel of the place is great and the food pretty good. Nice to go with a small group of friends

We came for the 2020 WOAP burger (dipped into melting cheese) and it was amazing, this burger should be kept on the menu all year long! The staff was super nice and place pretty cool, you can choose the music from a jukebox on the wall 😍

Bethels is always a good choice, great for breakfast, an afternoon coffee, work meetings or unwinding with a friend or a group of colleagues after work. Great service, good range of drinks, fab hot chips! And range of snacks and meals.

Been here a couple times now. Family function. They booked out the bar. Staff have always been great. Is a great place for 21sts and engagement parties. Food was very bar stylish. Fills the gap after a few bevies. Family hired their own DJ so ended up having a great night.

Rather underwhelming experience, but as it could be a one-off, I'll give them another go some other time. The steak sandwich was cooked to be a piece of rubber. If they would have asked if everything is OK, I would have told them.

Burgers were pretty amazing. Friendly staff with awesome service... Downsides Macaroni Bites were super bland and lacked flavour... Bethel Woods is another restaurant who sees it fit to charge the world for a meal and also a credit card surcharge... All in all I'd still recommend it as a great place for a burger.

I had the WOAP burger, Dippy McDipperson which was delicious when dipping the cheese but it is a small burger still full of flavours. Chips overcooked from my point of view. Still a great place to catch-up with friends.

10 stars all round here. Seamus best host ever, attentive, quick, friendly and great recommendations! The food was perfect - even if our eating ambitions were slightly to lofty. Atmosphere was great, music we hadn’t heard in an age. Cool kids packs which kept our younger members entertained. Right from start to finish it was a ten star experience - my only regret...in years of visiting Wellington I didn’t find you sooner! We’ll be back :-)

Disappointing! The sourdough was hard, portions was small. Food was overcooked and rubbery. Ordered medium coffee and turned out to be in a small cup, but taste was nice. Staffs were friendly. Will not come again. Not recommend.

Tried the WOAP burger from here. It was pretty tasty. The fries and gravy were a highlight for me. Also the bacon jam in the burger - so yum. Staff were great and atmosphere was cool. We went during a quiz night which seemed to be packed and looked like a lot of fun. Bit out of the way for us but a great bite to eat when up that end of town.

We hosted a private function at Bethel Woods on a Saturday. Location is ideal because its central Wellington but not as busy as Courtney Place and so you do have a level of privacy. Whole booking and set was easy and the staff there are so lovely! Made our night that much better. Amazing food and value for money.

This is a solid "Local pub" I the heart of Wellington. An excellent and regularly changing series of quality craft beer, alongside mainstream options too. The roof top bar is always worth a look. The main bar has a welcoming vibe. The serving staff know their beer. Great place to meet friends, chill and enjoy some sounds and some soothing libations.

I went here with a big group which they had space for but it does mean the food isn’t going to necessarily be hot when you get it. Also the staff got pretty inattentive up there after the food was out so there wasn’t much opportunity to call them over to order anything else.

Went there on a Tuesday night. Food came out at a good time as it wasn't too busy. Ordered the Reuben which had good flavour but the meat was quite tough to eat. Also ordered the deep fried brownie but there was nothing deep fried about it and the salted caramel tasted like banana, though in the end it was a good brownie. Nice atmosphere. Recommend come here at least once to try it out.

Easy big space for groups, can get loud for that very reason. The tables were comfy to sit at but the high table and chairs are impossible to eat at if you are short! Food was not bad for pub food, average. Probably best to visit in a large after work group for a drink and quick bite. For that, it's great

A popular spot for those working on the terrace. Bethel Woods has gained a reputation for being a funky bar serving a good selection of craft beers, and a damn good pub quiz every Tuesday night. Will definitely be back here!

They have recently changed the menu and so the granola we wanted is no longer available. The staff member kindly checked out if we could have the waffles & granola dish without the waffles - but this now has greek yogurt instead of coconut yoghurt, and berry compote instead of peach - and while they gave us a big portion they charged us $21 for it!!! There were no sugar sticks available at the table for my friend. The coffee was good although my friend had to pay $8 for a coffee in a takeaway loan cup (sustainable, cool) which they have to return, so why the large extra cost I don't know lol

Amazing beer and a great atmosphere. Selection of craft beers is always changing. And this place is always busy. Live music (might be your thing) can be a bit oppressive. Easy access for the train station and buses. Can serve as a good prelude to a stadium event as it's close by.

Pretty damn surprised at how well priced the drinks are here! (depending on what you drink)... I ended up getting some pretty cheap proseccos so I was just living the high life all day. They do an INCREDIBLE ginger beer cider which makes it even worth coming back to visit. Staff are very friendly and there's never really a huge wait.. Even on a Friday. Definitely coming back.

Nice rooftop area (non smoking) Really cheap happy hour ($5 400ml of craft beer, $5 house spirit) Also they forget the piece of lime or lemon in the gin tonic. I am sorry but a gin tonic without that is not really a gin tonic. Hope it was just a mistake otherwise they are a bit too much on the cheap side. The inside looks good to. With a nice fireplace straight on the middle of the room for winter.

Food was slow to come out (maybe due to all the people appearing for the quiz) but someone came over and apologised before I'd got bored enough to ask and when I ordered a fresh beer a bit later it was on the house as an apology! Had the sliders and a side of beans which were both great. Good enough that I instantly want to try it for breakfast tomorrow.

Adam was wonderful with information and options and catered to our every need when arranging my hubby's 50th Birthday. He got in the beers and other drinks we requested and was so accommodating. Callum looked after us on the night keeping us informed of how the tab was running and made sure the food was perfectly delivered on time to match the number of guests as they arrived. He made sure the music was all going smoothly and provided a microphone for speeches. The other bar staff were also super friendly and catered to our every need with a smile. We highly recommend Bethelwoods to anyone wanting great service with a smile amazing food platters and a fantastic venue. Amaria & Rob.

What a great feed and place. Ok so ordered a steak and cider. Cider came was very tasty and refreshing. Was with a group of 4. Heard and all mighty crash, everyone else's food came out and the server came to me and said there was a problem with my meal... Mmm big crash + problem with my meal = beat the had to start again. They provided me with another cider theny food came out.. well worth the wait the steak was cooked just the way I wanted it (medium rear) salad was fresh and crisp, the fries crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Service was excellent. Music good. The let us charge back to our room at the hotel down the street as well no extra fee. $28 for steak main meal.

so I planned to visit bethelwoods as I saw interesting food pics on social médias ... The food tasted good but unfortunately the overall experience was a bit underwhelming ... to start with the staff could give more informations at order time to avoid any misunderstandings... I ordered the poutine fries and a burger, though it would have been nice if the waiter would have mentioned the burger already comes with fries or offer a fries upgrade like in a lot of places! Then the poutine fries were brought to me without gravy 🤔 same for the table next to me... So I had to get up and get the staff attention, wich came and told me the gravy must be under the fries, so I lift up the fries and there was nothing there... So the waitress asked if I wanted a jug of gravy?? "Hum yes please"😑 ! eventually gravy was brought without any apologies , the staff wasn't rude they just did not really care. although the burger(chicken) was tasty , the guacamole portion was really tight 🤨 in the end it was a good meal! Just felt a bit like unnecessary struggle 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also work in hospitality, and usually quite forgiving if it's rush time etc...but this wasn't the case.

Been there twice in the past two weeks for coffee (short-black-four-shots) and breakfast, after visiting The Terrace Medical Centre's top class GP Dr. Helen Fieldes. I've been impressed both times. The General Manager who courteously asked his barista to move over so he can personally make my short black is the most pleasant and professional bar staff you can ever meet. I've lived here for the past 20 years and I've never been impressed by any hotel or bar or restaurant in New Zealand, not until I've been to this bar on The Terrace. Try it, for breakfast, or for an after work function on Thursdays and Fridays, when they have a band playing. Make sure you say hello to Soroush Mirmoeini, the handsome General Manager!
