Very cool dining experience tonight, thank you so much!! The man serving us was so friendly and kind, he made us feel welcome and comfortable, and explained things so well, as we didn't know what to do. He made it such a fun experience for us. Food was all fresh and delicious.

So good. I’d like to say this is the best hot pot in Wellington. A little bit expensive. But never mind. The taste alway in the front. Pretty good customer service as well. Definitely will be back.

Authentic and flavourful food in the middle of a city and for a good price too 😊 Green Sichuan pepper fish is a must-try!

They have very good food here, their hot pot, the veggie chilli base is amazing. Has such a good flavour, definitely recommend you get the split flavour so you can have the chilli and then the corn is also good. You use a tablet to order and then the food is very quick to arrive at the table. You make your own sauce which is super fun and there’s plenty to try from. Then grab your cutlery from the sauce trolley, you’ll want some cups and some chopsticks. Grab sauce and chopsticks once you’ve put it your order via the tablet. They do some very good sweet potato noodles, noodle knots, the meat slices, and the crystal tofu balls (they have fish eggs in) as well as the tofu cubes. They are my favourites, get them every time!! Food is excellent, tables are pretty clean and tidy, and it’s often quite busy.

I stopped by here because I lived in Chongqing for a year teaching english, this place really brought back memories and was truly authentic Chongqing/Sichuan cuisine. I'd gladly come back next time I'm in town!

Nice hotpot, but service was really poor... We made our selections, but they were very slow to bring them all out... And we were the only table. We waited but did not receive the cauliflower, after waiting we asked were it was too be told it was out of stock... They should have told us this as soon as they realized, and asked us if we would like a substitute....poor. We were also waiting for the meat balls, again after waiting we had to ask where they were and again they told us they were out of stock... Why did they not tell us this? We were also kept waiting for the squid and the bok choy, both we had to ask the staff where they were before they finally came out. Nothing wrong with the food or concept, just poorly managed/staffed.

Super legit, authentic, and delicious – one of the best food experiences in Wellington for sure! Hotpot is great for a group, but don't sleep on the full menu of hot and cold dishes, especially if you like the inimitable flavor of super spicy/numbing Szechuan peppercorns (the fish fillets in green pepper soup is A+). Really personable owner, too!

The food quality is very good and the service is of course high level. I really appreciate its existence in Wellington. The only concern is the portion of dish based on its price is so not generous. My friend went there and did not want to order enough as the bill would go nuts. For normal people, no matter how good the food is, the cost is always an important consideration. If it is improved, we will love to keep coming and enjoying their good spicy hotpot. Thank you.

I like the setup, far better setup than Red Hill which is bit of a dive... The tables are nice, granite like, and are actually designed to hold the hot pot in a hole in the middle and is all wired up, looks really good... And they have a simple shelf for holding plates etc, so you don't have to clutter up your table, overall a good setup which I've only seen in Auckland... Most hot pot restaurants are setup the cheap ugly way, and just place a camping stove on the table, which then has to have the gas canister changed regularly. Some disappointments were the chicken soup, to many ingredients in there which inadvertently ended up in my mouth much to my displeasure, I did not like thier chicken soup. And the beef was tough, not enjoyable at all. Lamb was nice though. Lastly was the price, quite steep, we spent $150 without going for seconds, Red Hill being a fixed price buffet beats them hands down on value for money.

Was on my own so didn't have hotpot but ordered chicken noodle soup off the menu. Great stuff, chicken, luncheon, quail eggs, wongbok, noodles and I topped it off with fresh chilli.. good value will go back try the spicy beef, the duck noodle and so on...... !!!!

Me and my partner went here in the weekend. To have hotpot. Was an enjoyable experience. We went when it opend so there was none there. Was abit expensive but we were paying for the experience never had hotpot before TRYING SOMETHING NEW was the goal. Small place but the people there are amazing and helpful. 👍👍👍

While the food is nice, the cost of this food is quite expensive. Before you even order dishes you are charged a min of $18 for stock and $4 for sauces per person. This is absolutely outrageous! Our total meal was $80, for veges and meat, which isnt cooked. This is very steep cost and I wasn't fully satisfied. Edit: We were actually 2 adults, no children. We have been to many hot pot style places and with $ 80 being the price but ALL YOU CAN EAT style, not per dish. If I did this at your resturant it would have been at least $150. You food is good though and a great place eat. I am just letting people know if the cost.

Best authentic hot pot restaurant in Wellington!

My work colleague introduced me this place because she knows I love the chinese style hot pot. Loved this place instantly and took my partner there too. Ingredients are all very fresh and good, very friendly service. Highly recommended if you want to have a genuine chonese style hot pot in Wellington

The noodles are great. Friendly people too. They restaurant feels like you are actually in China. Love it.

Just one week into Covid Level 1 and being a recent eatery to make its appearance at this location (next door to what used to be "LIttle Penang", now the "Pho"), this Chinese restaurant specialising in the hot-pot niche was very well patronised by diners on Saturday evening (still a little quieter in Wellington in general than proir to Covid19 appearing in NZ). This kind of cuisine originally from Sichuan, China is very popular globally eg. Australian cities (where it's a eat-all-you-want smorgasbord), etc. and there are also such eateries in Wn but not in Cuba Central until now. It's easy to cater for large groups this way and is usually also more fun as everyone can participate in the "cooking". A hearty way for a family to warm up over dinner in winter. The quality of the starter stock, variety (and freshness) of the ingredients AND the sauces would be the key to a good hot-pot (since everything is boiled).

My favourite restaurant at the moment! Fresh food, great choice. My only thing to add is I wish there was sweetcorn on the menu. Otherwise it's the best.
