The food was average for the Price alot of the food was dry and definitely needed some type of sauce or gravy, some food on the menu is also misleading but it's a good experience to go to once I guess.

Enjoyable Italian food especially their Lamb and Potato mains with an accompanying salad side.
I was dining with two friends on a bitterly cold windy evening.
But I found the restaurant to be quite cold inside, especially when someone opened their front entrance door.
Also I found their the menu almost virtually unreadable especially in dimmed light, and especially when the words for so small.
And their hard wooden chairs were so uncomfortable.
Our waiter also seen to be rather inexperienced and unfamiliar with the menu when questioned about certain courses.
The entrance to their outside toilets seems rather unwelcoming.
For these reasons, we will think twice about dining here again soon...... even though their food was really quite enjoyable!!

Love!! This place... how authentic can it get from the food, atmosphere, wine and super friendly service. And live music made the night even more special. Worth every cent. Top rated 👌

Dined here tonight with a group that had all been before and all rated this restaurant very highly. They were right. Terrific atmosphere and service to match. The food was so nice and very well presented. The menu changes every month or so but the lamb was delicious. Desserts were very popular with my affagato being presented in a very nice way with my own small coffee perk. Lovely with grappa. Number one choice for my next trip to Wellington.

As a visitor from Auckland my sister organised dinner at restaurant
I presume it is frequented by locals and a hidden treasure as there is no way you would be able to find the secret entrance. Food was well presented and very authentic, service was good, nice vibe and enjoyable.

Absolutely beautiful food, great service and it felt like I was back in Italy - will certainly be back to dine again!

Hands down this is the best Italian restaurant we have found in Wellington, possibly NZ. The decor is cozy and you feel as if you could be in a mountain trattoria. The staff are super friendly and helpful, really taking the time to explain the menu. The menu is reassuringly short, with an interesting explanation to each one. Each month they choose a different region of Italy to serve, unsurprisingly it is seasonal as well. The food was just excellent, full of authentic flavour and technique. Honest and unfussy. Definitely recommend this place. It is hard to find though, you have to follow the sign from the main Street and keep going.

So hard to find the way in. Unique experience. Really great pasta, slightly small portions. Sort of liked the aged interior.
