Went there for quick breakfast. Really love the cheese scones and berry muffin. I came twice in a week as I reallg like it. Thank you to the chef that made it! It was the best pair with a cup of coffee

Awesome for my farewell work do. A bit restricted under Covid red light but no fault of the place. Only comment is staff initially didn't let us know that you must be seated even outside on reserved tables when there weren't enough chairs for booked numbers, but told us we had to sit down which was awkward, but they sorted it out. Top notch otherwise.

Good spot for a coffee or a quick meal. Located in Midland park in the center of Wellington. It has great ambiance matched with good food and service. There are some interesting metal and water sculptures that took my attention and added to the experience of this establishment.

We had our Work Christmas Lunch @ Dillinger’s - they were very helpful with catering to a large team. We truly appreciated the amount of effort and well communicated they were towards any request we had. Definitely recommend Dillinger’s for any large tream function(s). Booking next time for sureeee! We dined at Dillingers on a Saturday night which was lovely. The restaurant had a nice ambience with music playing loud enough to be heard but allowed you to have a conversation. I personally thought the meal was delicious but the portion size wasn't great. The staff we super friendly and helpful.

Great location with a close walk from the train station. Been here twice for both the lunch menu and brunch menu, both of which were delicious - burgers were good!. Choose to sit outside and enjoy a craft beer from a large selection on tap or sit inside in one of the many seating options (high tables or low). Staff are very friendly and attentive.

We had small lunch with starters and drinks which was more than enough portion wise. Attentive staff, really looked after us, making ordering and service smooth and easy, meals were served very quickly, and are reasonably priced too. However, there were quite some fruitflies where we were sitting that was unpleasant and hence the missing star.

We came here while visiting for WOAP and the service and food was great! It was diner themed with all the staff dressed up and the music was awesome. The waitress that was serving us, blonde girl with glasses (5.30pm ish 22/06) was super bubbly and awesome to have wait on us! Thank you! And the food was fantastic, your chefs skills are top notch!

This place has a lot of highs for me. 1. Steak was awesome - meat was soft even if I had it medium well. 2. The grilled mushroom cooked beautifully. 3. WOAP burger is interesting - the fried chicken and scone works for me 4. The staff was very accommodating The only low for me would be the sides. 1. Mac and cheese was too salty. Not sure of it's the cheese used or the prep for the pasta. 2. Fries works well by itself. The crushed pork crackling makes it too gritty. All in all a pretty good dinning experience.

Yeah, a good restaurant on Lambton Quay if you’re looking. The evening crowds suggest Dillinger’s is popular among the after work crowd so there will be good atmosphere. The beer list is a little basic, and despite Wellington’s excellent craft beers expect to see Monteith’s and a house Pale Ale (Dillinger’s Pale Ale - Speights like) contending with Black Dog and a guest Garage Project Tap....the Gangsta, go figure. The wine list meanwhile has about three options per variety, though focuses on kiwi wines and their loud, bolshie flavours. The food offered a lot more with a broad selection of American dishes. Three burger options including the California Cheesburger - what you wished a Big Mac actually tasted like - and the Halloumi burger- made with Zany Zeus halloumi - make for easy options. All the snack options live up to par as does a list of five different meet cuts for the grill. Weeknightly specials include 2 for 1 Prime Ribs on Wednesdays! Go here and enjoy and really strong atmosphere, you’ll be well looked after and your fancy friends will enjoy their drinks as will folks happy with a pint of Tiger.

Quiet place suitable for conversations while dining. The decor is not too bright, nor too dark. I had the 14 Hour Brisket Salad and it was a whole meal by itself! I will definitely dine there again!

Great location and choices for indoor and outdoor dining. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only lost marks for the selection of wine and the chips in the menu were fries - there is almost a British feel which we loved.(being British) but I suggest that they should do proper chips rather than bulk purchased fries. Great food and nice ambience. I'm visiting Wellington for a quick weekend visit and my friend recommended Dillinger's. Oh my goodness, I'm glad I went. It was a Saturday for brunch. The server was pleasant and the food was delicious!

Good location for a bar and the further you go into the bar the more you feel like it's a local pub. That's a good feeling. Visiting here during WOAP meant it was packed (good for business) yet the staff were efficient, on to it and always engaged with us as customers. The fiery burger was a spectacle and worth experiencing but as with all these 'themed' products, pretty pricey. My stars only reflect one visit, and I'll hopefully be able to get more of a sense of its hospitality on my next visit.

Have been to Dillys for dinner and for brunch and enjoyed both. I had the big breakfast though I wasn't a huge fan of the beef cheek, not sure if that belongs on a breakfast plate for me but I'm sure some people love it and everything else was delicious so it didn't really matter. Definitely recommend the chicken burger it was nice and crispy on the outside but not dry on the inside and the Mayo had a decent kick.

Great staff, based off of this alone it would easily be 4 stars. The atmosphere was alright, definitely more of a bar feel than a restaurant (although thats kinda' suggested in the name...). I went for their 2020 WOAP burger, and unfortunately, 5/10. Whilst the wagyu party had a really nice flavour and was cooked beautifully, pairing nicely with the sweet onion and pickles, it missed the mark on a few points. The sauce (gravy) could have used more flavour (or a different flavour), I felt it need to be stronger. The cheese also needed more or a different kind, as is it wouldn't have made a difference if it was there or not. Texture was great but some bacon could've enhanced this and added that flavour buff I desired. Overall, I would most definitely come back, just not for this burger ... Also, average fries

This place ain't cheap... But my God, the food was REAL good! We came here for leaving drinks, the atmosphere was really nice, not too loud but also not dead, staff were very attentive and always checking if we needed more drinks! The nibbles we had were pretty damn expensive and the portions weren't too big but they were incredibly tasty... Worth every penny! A great place for work drinks or even a date! Edit: came here again for burgers and dessert and it was worth EVERY penny!!

Very welcoming and helpful staff. I got the truffle mac and cheese and it was almost overpoweringly cheesy and the pasta was very soft, but the rocket salad was nice and others had burgers which were really good. Would recommend the place but not the mac and cheese. Overall a good experience.

Only called in for a drink, so can't comment on the food. Wine list is average, but prices aren't cheap. Service was friendly but a little slow (it was fairly busy to be fair - but why only one portable EFTPOS?). Busy meant it was also very noisy; there seemed to be no air conditioning so it was hot and humid. Decor is looking very tired too.

Dillingers is a classy, pleasant place to be. The service is exceptional, with staff that really do seem to actually care, and take pride in their workplace. The food was exquisite. Started off with just a bowl of chips, which were perfect, and paired with a really nice garlic aioli. I got the beef burger, and was not disappointed. It was constructed perfectly, and the flavours all complimented each other well. It also looked like something out of a magazine, it was an edible work of art. the others in my group were also very satisfied with their meal choices, and we left VERY full, and very happy we decided to eat at Dillingers.

Was extremely busy but they managed to find us a table that had been reserved for later in the evening and were clear about when we had to finish by, which was appreciated. Service fluctuated between extremely eager and basically non existant i.e. they wanted to take our food order as soon as we sat down, but drinks didn't arrive until our meal was almost finished. Loud and uncomfortable due to it being so crowded, but probably nice at quieter times. Fairly pricey for the quality and portion size.

Top notch burger! As my first wellington burger I can confirm it's delicious and the appropriate size! And adding it with a beer for their Monday specials just made it so much better! I will definitely be stopping by again for a burger at Dillingers and might make it a regular stop as it's 200m from my office. The park also gives it a nice atmosphere and with great weatherzl, sitting outside is a must.

I am so happy to write this review! It's more about Dilingers staff and their very kind and helpful attitudes. I was in Wellington yesterday, traveling for business and went to Dilingers to share a lovely glass of wine after a long day. I realized this mooring, whilst in Auckland, that I left my leather folder there. Sweet Kelsey has been an angel and helped with finding it and giving me information I desperately needed for today. Thank you Dilingers for emptying such helpful and kind staff!!!

As a restaurant/cafe, Dilinger's is still quiet during the morning/brunch periods but don't let that put you off dropping in for a meal. Well made coffee and delicious comfort style food make this a worthwhile stop. In the evenings, the mood becomes more bar feel, and is already proving popular for the local office dwellers
