Service was great and food was amazingly delicious too. Went there for the very first time and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love this restaurant- definitely the best Indian in the city! The food is so good and the staff are really friendly. This is our new local and it's definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Wellington. The only thing I'd say is the spice levels run a little low (ordering hot often comes out closer to medium in my opinion) so if you like chili don't be afraid of ordering higher than usual. Highly recommend!

A very authentic Indian restaurant. Very nice ambience. Good place for large groups to meet. Lots of parking around this location. Food is very nice, very big menu to choose from.. Portion sizes are big.. A fantastic service and cheerful staff.. Worth multiple visits..

Want the best Indian food in Wellington?? Well then go to Indian Alley!! Every single dish we have had here is absolutely delish. A great place to eat in but also a fantastic place for quick takeaways. We wouldn't go for Indian anywhere else. Why would you when you've found the best :)

This place is GREAT. A contender for best Indian restaurant in Wellington. We had a large group there for a birthday celebration so a big job for the staff there. Food was out promptly and it was delicious. The waiting staff were super friendly and accommodating. Good value too. We will be back.

Absolutely yummy! Best we have had in Wellington. Staff friendly, food full of flavour and no horrible base sauce. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Came here this evening and had a fantastic experience. We are both vegan and heard that they had an entirely separate menu for vegans which had so many amazing and interesting options. I got the Soya Masala and my partner got Saag Aloo, we also had onion bhaji and tandoori roti. Some of the best curry I’ve had since being a vegan! So full of flavour. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.

Went for a BYO birthday party on the 22nd of December, staff were lovely, food was great and service was excellent. Shout-out to the lovely staff especially that night, helped with the cake serving :)

Mum and I went this evening and were absolutely blown away!! We love a curry and thought we knew what a good curry was…. Indian Alley totally redefined that for us. They have an extensive vegan menu (yes breads included!) we thought we’d try something new so opted for the Panchratan Dal and Soya Saagwala. Flavours were deep, rich and well balanced. The Soya chunks in the Saagwala was melt in the mouth tender and the perfect little flavour sponge. We’re already counting down until we can go back for round 2. Incredible spot for vegans and non vegans alike. Service was 10/10 as well! 😁

The best Indian Restaurant in Wellington. The food is so good and yummy. Nice customer service. Friendly staff. Overall good atmosphere inside the restaurant. We had a group of 20+, staff was super helpful and fastly served. Highly recommended place. It's my personal favourite restaurant now 😍❤️ My favourite is kadai paneer and tandoori roti ❤️🍴

Very few restaurants are providing good indian tatse food, Indian alley is one of them, staff is very good and the food is similar to what I used to eat in India, proud to say that's a third restaurant in my list for Indian food. Honest opinion people should try once ... :)

The best Indian food I've had since becoming vegan. Delicious creamy sauce made with coconut cream is what I've been looking for for the longest time! And the soya morsels are delicious and something I haven't found in any other indian restaurant. Great options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. Friendly staff, great presentation and central Wellington location.

Went with family for my birthday. Very kid friendly. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Ordered the lamb cutlets which had fantastic flavour. Wife had Papri Chaat as vege starter. Was equally as good., For mains the Tikka Masala was good, and the Lamb Rara was spectacular reminding me of my favourite UK curry house. The Parda Biryani was a showpiece and a must order. So far the best I’ve had in the country. Indian Alley joins a very short list of great authentic Indian restaurants that I like in NZ.

We had a weekend in Wellington and went to Indian Alley on the back of the 5 star rating and we weren't disappointed. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door, the menu was brilliant with some really interesting dishes we'd never heard of before and we've eaten Indian all over the world. The ambience was cool inside having employed local artists to paint murals on the walls. We met the chef after the meal and shook his hand, he's worked all over the world and Wellington is lucky to have him. Best Indian we've had in NZ I think, highly recommended.

My favorite indian restaurant in Wellington! Love the plates and food so much. However only 4 stars due to our waiter asking if we wanted drinks 3 times before the food had even come out. I believe this could be because management tells him to keep upselling drinks. I do not normally get a drink out with a meal and should not feel probed into doing so.

A restaurant with a perfect 5.0 google rating , I’ll admit I was sceptical but this place lived up to its 5 stars . The entrées were delicious and tasted super fresh , I often feel at some indian restaurant the bhaji and pakora tastes slightly stale and dry but this place was amazing . The deep friend paneer was a favourite . We shared a few mains - favourite was definitely the shahi paneer. Beautiful food thanks we will be back

We had literally stumbled upon this hidden gem of an Indian restaurant in Wellington and we were all pleasantly surprised. The food was a flashback for my tastebuds and the experience took back 20 years when I had been to an awesome little Indian dhaba , drowning me in nostalgia and happy tummy emotions. What amazing tandoori roti, crisp and full of texture , as we say it in India - “ekdam kadak”,I devoured 4 of them , a feat I haven’t done in over 10 years . The cheese chicken tikka, masala papad, dal makhani, papdi chaat medley kept this gastronomic symphony going .Hands down a great option for authentic Indian food @WellyCBD. Fresh, tasty and easy on your tummy . Service - 9 /10 Food - 8.5 /10 Value 9/10

There are a lot of Indian places in Welly, but Indian Alley food is just too good. We tried the Kadhai Paneer and Chicken Shorba, along with the highly recommended butter chicken samosa. Looking forward to go again
