Reviews of Kedai Seroja

Nice to have dinner at Seroja, Indonesian food restaurant, taste good but not a cheap price as it's an exclusive dining. You can try the authentic Indonesian cuisine, includes the desserts and beverages. The portion is normal. Customer service was good, the staffs are friendly and helpful. They also have café menus for breakfast or brunch.

My wife and I gave this glowing review not because we are from Indonesia, but simply because this restaurant deserves all the praise. The beef rendang and chicken satay that we ordered were delicious, the caffe latte was great (the coffee came from good-quality coffee beans), and even the 'sweet ice tea' (es teh manis) was refreshing with a tinge of orange aroma.
The service was exemplary, with friendly greetings and expeditious food prep where we only had to wait for no more than 5 mins. Even the owner herself (Mrs. Fifi) came and engaged us in a friendly conversation.
We don't come to Wellington very often, but whenever we do, we will make sure to dine in Seroja again. A must-visit for sure :)

New Indonesian cafe with coffee from Indonesia and authentic desserts and snacks. The coffee has a rich flavour that Wellingtonians will enjoy. I enjoyed my coconut slice, it’s very filling and not overly sweet.
Many of the staff are from Indonesia and are super friendly.
On my second visit I tried the chicken Gresik. This is dish is delicious and well worth trying.
It seems that the hours are temporary and will be revised.

Best asian cuisine. Superb! Food was so delicious and authentic and coffee was nice. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended 👌

More authentic tastes would make it nicer. The coffee: kofe susu was weird with the coffee grind in it, suggest after mixing the milk let it settle.
C.
Amazing selection of food and with no less than 5 star taste

I will return soon
They have the traditional Indonesian coffee which I know & love .

This is the only authentic recently opened family owned Indonesian cafe restaurant in Wellington. The food is just superb, great location, atmosphere and staff. Wellington is fortunate to have a gem of a restaurant that will leave you wanting to go back again and again.

I hadn't had Indonesian food for a while and it did the trick and more!
R.
Amazing foods, service & ambience! Must try the Pandan Latte & Ayam Bakar set!

Finally! A real Indonesian Restaurant in Wellington. It's decor has bits and pieces of very familiar handicrafts especially with the Garuda that sits majestically on the top shelf of the cafe. The food is reminiscent of Warungs and was a pleasure to enjoy in a well appointed cafe. Staff were amazing and warm, Indonesian ofcourse and not short on their culture.
I could blink and re-imagine that I am in Plaza Indonesia in the heart of Jakarta, only to be re awakened into reality by Wellington's wind. Come in for a coffee and a snack and experience Indonesian hospitality.

I rarely post reviews but this place was truly deserving of a five star rating. The most friendly and welcoming staff I've ever met and the chef came out twice to see if we enjoyed our meals. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back.
C.
Tried Seroja Cafe on a whim today for Sunday brunch. Very well situated overlooking the yachts, service was smiling and very pleasant and the food and coffee (I had gado-gado and my companion grilled salmon) was excellent. Definitely recommended and will be back.
A.
Delicious dishes, you will taste something different compared to other asian food. Not cheap but considering the place and food quality, you will got what you pay.

The family is well experienced with Restaurant Indonesia in Napier and obviously know hospitality. Menu is smallish but varied enough that there's a choice for all. If extra spice is required then definitely get their house made sambal sauce. It's excellent.

Six of us had breakfast at Seroja and all had different dishes.
Each dish was very well prepared and presented. Great eating.
Six happy people who would all go back at any opportunity.
Excellent coffee too.

yo can i get that number of the cute waiter with the frosted tips??? he was very humbling and the service was amazing from all the staff! big shoutout to the chef cooking it up in the back! highly recommend. will definitely be back for some of that ice jasmine tea.

DaddyDangerDaffa gave me a pie, it was yum with great flavour. Knocking one star off because the date décor said "August 15" when it was actually the 26th.
E.
The food and service here is amazing. Its really exciting to see a new place offering food different from typical Wellington cafes, alongside fantastic coffee. This place will definitely become a regular spot for me ❤️

(Translated) I received vegan and meat from Rijisttafel. The main satay is served as a single dish with many types of side dishes. I really liked the first soup. You can eat various kinds of side dishes, so it was fun for your eyes, and of course the taste was very delicious. The clerk was also very kind and friendly. Thank you for the meal!
