Good place and lovely service. Good inside decorations though. Order by ourselves is convenient and fast. The snack box is a great deal especially when you want to taste freshly fried chicken and chips. But the chicken tenders are terrible. Too salty and non spicy at all.

Plenty of spare tables when we arrived but the going-home pedestrians soon filled the place. I chose the Special Slider box - the cashier asked lots of questions to see I got the food I wanted. The food was tasty although the lettuce was a little wilted, a problem of the weather not being good for veges over January perhaps. Plenty of serviettes are available on the tables to cope with that "finger lickin" flavour. I haven't been to KFC for a while so this was my first experience of the electronic tracker for friends order.

If you've ever eaten KFC before, you know what sort of food they have here, there's nothing special about it. It is however the nicest looking KFC I've ever seen, so you don't feel quite as dirty for dining there. They've added some more budget options to their menu since the last time I went to a KFC, which helps them be more competitive with the other fast food chains. The staff don't seem very well trained, but at time of writing this restaurant opened yesterday, so that's not very surprising. Overall, a reasonable experience. The only KFC that doesn't make you hate yourself.

I quite liked this restaurant. Having a kfc in the center of Courtney Place was a great idea. Not sure what they are like at night, but i believe they would be quite busy. The staff are friendly here

The towels had been hanging from the rod for years. They were stained and worn, and quite frankly, just plain ugly. Debra didn't want to touch them but she really didn't have a choice. It was important for her to see what was living within them. "Are you getting my texts???" she texted to him. He glanced at it and chuckled under his breath. Of course he was getting them, but if he wasn't getting them, how would he ever be able to answer? He put the phone down and continued on his project. He was ignoring her texts and he planned to continue to do so.

As good as it gets. Open late as well so if you're craving some juicy fatty chicken after being wasted or not then you're covered.

It’s KFC so it’s down to personal taste I suppose. Personally I find the chicken pieces a bit too greasy so I usually go for boneless options like twisters or burgers. At this particular outlet you can use the self service screens to order table service, and they seem to know exactly where you are seated, so either they track the table number pucks or the staff are partially psychic

Excellent central location, and a well kept building, although a little on the smaller side for a dine-in store. Standard fare for a KFC restaurant, and as usual, the busier the store the higher the likelihood that your chicken may be soggy due to having less chance to change the oil in the fryers so best to go within the first hour of business so you get the best chicken pieces cooked well.

My son had his birthday party next door at Timezone and we came over here afterwards for lunch. KFC gave all the kids little gifts to take home, so kind of them, what an awesome manager they have there! Very accommodating to our large group

My order was taken by a trainee who had to check with another team member how to do something. But she was friendly, and efficient once the issue was sorted. I ate in and was given a table number. And then my food was delivered promptly to my table. That was awesome and unexpected. The burger was tasty, the chips had extra seasoning as I requested. The restaurant was clean. Nice experience.

I was at KFC Courtenay Place this evening right behind a very rude customer. He berated the staff and threw drinks and food at them. The manager and all of the other workers were amazing - they all stood their ground and the manager really worked hard to stand up for her staff through all of this. It was a stressful situation but everyone dealt with it very professionally. Hope the team is okay and the food was delicious as usual!

Popcorn chicken snack box was hot and fresh. Dining room was clean and modern but still with some KFC quirk. The queueing/takeaway area is a little too cramped, especially when busy. Overall it was a decent experience.

The manager on 21/06 at 2am was literally amazing. There were two aggressive girls kicking up a fuss and she handled them perfectly. Got them out without making a scene and was super calm and collected the whole time - she was awesome. The security guard was also really good so massive praises to the both of them. The manager needs a pay rise, big ups to her!!

Great food, location and interiors. It can be seen that the franchise owner has done their best in getting the place setup. There's nothing that can go wrong with a good KFC. However, the staff were arrogant and also tried to school me (someone who is a KFC regular) and behaved as though they were doing me a favor by serving me. I have felt this way every time I visited the outlet. I am a regular at the Kent terrace outlet and never felt this way there. Will not be going to this outlet again. I would've given 5 stars but I pay for my meals and expect decent customer service, hence the 3 stars.

In the middle of Courtney Place (night club center of wellington). Every time I have ordered there the meal has been good. Typical KFC but location is great for a quick snack in town. Not a lot of parking so aimed at foot traffic.

Usually a very busy KFC, even with it being full, food generally only takes 5 to 10 mins max. I probably go here once a week, standard KFC value but great location close to all the bars on your stumble home.

Excellent hygeine, fastest service at any KFC I've been to, ever, hands down. Chicken is always at the high end of quality when it comes to KFC at least and staff are friendly and quick. Very easy to pop in & out with no waiting issues, machines let you order in peace if you like, and ticketing system means recieving your order is swift, efficient and easy. Definitely the Gold Standard when it comes to the KFC experience. 5 stars

0-dark visit for a cheeky feed post session. Always hits different. Staff chatty and friendly despite the early hours, John Wick on the door had good social distancing and sign-in practices for imbibed revellers. Bucket of dirty-bird, tates an graves, and chips with extra seasoning is a great way to wrap an evening on the turps.

When writing a review you've got to consider the relativeness of your rating and make a fair judgement on the establishment based upon your expectations and how they were met. So, this is a rating off of a visit at 11pm on a Friday night. Expectations: A drunken mob screaming for double downs? Check. Messy tables, covered in wrappers and grease stains? Check. A tired beleaguered staff who are doing what they can to survive the onslaught? Check. However, what I didn't expect was staff members leaping to my order of 10 double downs and a giant box of wicked wings. A bouncer not only managing to keep an eye on everyone coming through those doors, but also find the time to manage the floor and be the unofficial best waiter in Wellington. Finally, after prompt service the staff even took the time to wish us well as we collected our fried chicken and descended back into the madness which is Courtney Place. Best KFC I've been too, praise be to the Colonel!

Conveniently located in Courtenay Place. My one big complaint is how uncomfortable the seating is, particularly the seating at the edges of the room. The tables are fixed far too close to the wall forcing those of us with bigger builds to use our contortionist skills. They should probably put in some old school booth seating and raise the level of the tables so that long backed folks like myself don't feel like they are eating off their lap. The food is bang in the middle, goldilocks clone KFC. So if you crave the stuff it will not disappoint. There is a ramp for wheelchairs and they also have several terminals for ordering if you dont want to chat to the staff. They do deliver to your (uncomfortable) table. If you are a child or a waif or model on a binge you should fit in nicely. Otherwise order out.

Great KFC location, interiors are better than typical stores. Things to watch out for is the pricing and quantity. Spent more but got a smaller portion compared to other stores (Even the nearest KFC about 2 minutes drive away).

Its nice and new with ordering stations and table service. But no soda fountain. It's way better than the tired old Cambridge Tce KFC. Though High St Lower Hutt remains the best KFC around.

Bonus star 🌟 for mid morning entertainment with the drunken customer who got trespassed before his order was ready. Points off for excessively polished floor, which is a safety issue for future drunken customers, which I think is the point of being open until 2am from Thursday to Sunday. Nice touch was the seasoning shakers at the table, and the table service, but fortunately I made it home in time for the greasy chicken 🐔 to kick in 🚽 I don't want to do a PM #ScumMo at #EngadineMaccas 👖

The only problem I had with this place was recognising the outside. Used to the traditional mostly red exterior I had to take a hard look to realise it was a KFC. The outside is mainly white with a few red letters.
