J.
Thanks for the fantastic evening! The service provided by David K was outstanding, he was absolutely lovely and even told us about the history of the building. Everyone was really lovely.
The food was delicious, we both really enjoyed out mains and even the side of brocollini was mouth-watering. Dessert was perfect too. The time between dishes was great as we waited for dessert we were more and more ready.
Look forward to dining here again in future!

The $75 three course menu was excellent value for money for gourmet-Master-Chef-quality food. I had the red onion tart, then pork belly main and espresso mousse dessert with broccolini and garlic mushroom sides. We also got 2 pieces of freshly made bread and their 2 options of amazing, creamy, flavoured butter. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious.
The staff were really friendly, professional, neatly dressed and knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant was bustling with lots of customers. Highly recommended. I'd definitely go back again. 😀👍
O.
Very impressed. High quality flavour some food which was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Service was great. This was a fantastic food experience that I would recommend to anyone staying in Wellington. We will definitely be back.

Went to Logan Brown for the first time in ages and loved it. The set pricing was awesome value as the food was amazing. Great choice on the menu along with very friendly service. The place was fully booked which was nice to see in these Covid times.
C.
OMG and a big Wow! The $75 prix fixe dinner at Logan Brown Wellington - fantastic value and delicious food!!! I had a flavoured bread n butter starter, Paua Ravioli, Confit Duck Leg, Panna Cotta. Incredible and not to be
missed! We do not believe in going out and paying $ for mediocre food - Logan Brown is a stellar example of interesting, delicious, well-priced, high/quality food experience! Thank you Logan Brown!

Had dinner here as part of a birthday celebration, and Logan Brown probably deserves the best restaurant in Wellington title in terms of menu to plate match. Bit disappointed that the menu is set, and only had 4 mains, and you have to get a three course meal (good way to make money, and take control away from customer). I get why they do it but I am not a fan of such restaurant model. Wait staff, while friendly, once the food order was taken, they didn't ask for another drink order throughout the night. Good food experience, not so much on the other aspects.
D.
Love this restaurant. The quality and presentation of the food is amazing as is the service. Lovely ambience with well spaced tables. Great selection of cocktails and wines. We selected 3 courses from a set menu for $75 and although limited there were amazing dishes to select from, covering seafood, meat, poultry and vegetarian options. Thanks for lovely night LB.
J.
A classic in Wellington. Not the most modern decor but you know you are here for a fine dining experience the moment you walk in. The high ceiling, the warm lighting, the dark green couches, the professional greeting from the wait staff. Their food is simply excellent. The beef carpaccio with the horseradish panna cotta was clever and insanely tasty. The venison main was well balanced and delicious. The pan fried snapper was the most perfectly cooked according to my wife. The desserts were complex but not as impressive as the entrees and mains. In short, a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or fancy night out.
T.
Very friendly service and beautiful course meals.
C.
We had the best dinner. The courses were all amazing. Lots of different flavours. The staff were fantastic as well. Highly recommend for allergy sufferers. We emailed and sorted everything out in advance and they were really helpful. We wanted a date night before our first baby is due but weren’t sure if it would be possible. They were excellent at working with my wife’s allergies and pregnancy food restrictions.
Thanks for helping us celebrate, we had a great evening
J.
The meal was really delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were all great and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.
J.
Great staff and great environment. The food was tasty but wasn’t mouth watering. Also very small portions. Perfect for an expensive date night tho
P.
Awesome restaurant and great food, would highly recommend!!!
It would be appreciated if menu items which can be done gluten free or dairy free are stated on menu, rather than having to ask. A much more pleasant experience that way.
M.
Logan Brown is definitely one of the best restaurants I ever dined at. I had a gift card for the 5 course dinner for 2 for my birthday. Unfortunately my partner could not be there for the dinner and we had to find a solution. The manager was very lovely and agreed to provide me with the 7 course dinner + wine instead to match the gift card value. The dinner was absolutely exceptional and the wine matches were fantastic. The restaurant accommodated my vegetarian diet and made me feel amazing even though I had to enjoy my birthday dinner by myself. Absolutely excellent service! I will be back next time I'm in Wellington!
A.
Food was sensational, service was perfect. Highly recommended.
K.
Beautiful and delicious food with great service. $75 for the 3 course menu is super reasonable given the quality that they deliver. The signature paua dish is a must try!
C.
Had a set course meal at Logan Brown before heading out to the orchestra. The atmosphere was elegant but not stuffy. The food was delicious, bringing together conplex flavors, and just the right portion sizes. As a foreigner, I've never said this in NZ, the service was excellent. Highly recommend!
N.
Probably the best restaurant in Wellington.
We had the chef's menu, my friend had the regular chef's menu and i had a specially made vegetarian chef's menu.
Every dish was outstanding, the meal overall took about 3 hours but you cant feel the time passing because you are having too much of a fun time.
The service was top notch.
The meal itself wasnt really cheap but if you like high end food that is the place to go.
Highly recommend 10/10.
S.
Definitely a 5 star restaurant, fine dining at its best. Enjoyed our 12th wedding anniversary dinner and what a treat it was, excellent service combined with exquisite food. High recommend this restaurant, best in Wellington
L.
The bistro menu is good value for money - $45 for three courses and freshly baked bread. The ambience is strange upstairs - it's quite a tight space. Lovely food though - all of the dishes we had were very tasty.
L.
Worth the price. Absolutely delicious food. Don't be fooled by the small servings, you will leave full!
B.
If you want to feel special yes that place is beautiful..service was amazing!
Unfortunately I can't say same for the kitchen..the menu had very limited numbers only 4 mains, I choose something just because o had to..and I didn't even enjoy because I hate smoke taste and they didn't mention the meat is smoked flavor on the menu.as it was a birthday party I didn't wanna leave but I don't think I would go back for meal..sitting and having couple of drinks will satisfy you though...
D.
3 Course Menu was brilliant. The staff & the food was excellent. Well worth it. Nice surroundings in the old Bank of New Zealand building on Cuba St, Wellington.
J.
Superb meal here last night. The Eggplant and Chevre Mille-feuille entree was outstanding, as was the Beef Fillet. The dessert of Pistachio & White Chocolate Mousse with Berries was heavenly. Service was excellent. The entire experience was faultless.
P.
We ordered the seven course Saturday night degustation menu.
We found that some of the dishes just didn't come together the way they were intended. The best dishes we had were the old favourites, e.g. the paua ravioli.
Service was excellent, and we were very full afterwards. Pricey and not sure it lived up to the hype.
Coeliacs are catered for, though you will need to mention this when ordering.
J.
Customer service was extremely good, as well as dishes presented. Had a wonderful dinner in Logan brown. Highly recommend!
C.
My first time there. What a treat. Beautiful food fantastic service from out waitresses and waiter. Well done team. Stunning place. Enjoyed the evening too. And they have been 4 times now.
J.
We went for a special occasion and our venison main course lived up to expectations. I was disappointed with the lack of options for an entree or appetiser. Staff are knowledgeable and efficient - the degustation menu would be the best option if you have time. The high vaulted ceiling makes for a feeling of grandeur but most guests were casual.
C.

The perfect 3 course dine-in experience. Outstanding service. Magnetic ambience. Delicious food. Must try!.... though not for penny-pinchers.
D.
Great food and very helpful and professional staff....very good venue for the big event

Made me feel important- staff very attentive and professional. Meals presentation amazing and taste delicious.
K.
Delicious, well presented food with friendly staff.
D.
Beautiful place with great service and delicious food. Came for a corporate set menu and plates were small but very tasty, highly recommended for small corporate groups and long lunches
J.
Exceptional food and service. Thanks for a lovely evening.
C.
Congratulations. Probably the best meal and service we have ever had. A credit to your team. You should be very proud
E.
Went for my partner's birthday and had a really good time. What could make it better is perhaps servers that know more about the food and the wine. Because what ended up happening was we potentially ordered all the wrong combinations which ended up with us leaving feeling full but not in a nice way. Flavours are lovely but it's easy to overindulge if you order the wrong combinations and had lots of heavy creamy foods. They also seemed to not know much about the portions either.
Other than that, I liked the food, but would just prefer to have the servers a little more educated.
Also, I asked if the chef could do a medley of all the desserts the birthday girl liked and this was the end result!!! Loved it :)
V.
Made me feel important- staff very attentive and professional. Meals presentation amazing and taste delicious.
J.
Great place. Oysters were gorgeous. Fish was perfectly cooked. Nice wine selection and resonably priced. Highly recommended.
A.
7 course degustation with matching wines. Wow! Some really interesting dishes.
Heirloom tomatoes had some incredible flavours and set the bar high for the rest of the meal.
Market fish oka had a beautifully delicate taste.
Ravioli took me back to Tuscany. It was superb. The coriander, basil and lime flavours were magnificently ballanced.
Almost made me weep with pleasure. For me it was the highlight of the night.
Pork jowl was surprisingly subtle against the bite of the smoked eel.
Venison was so tender a serated knife was a bit of overkill.
The Whitestone windsor blue is possibly the best blue I've had and worked really well with the walnut butter.
Creme Caramel was a wonderful finish. Freeze dried Manuka honey!? What a brilliant idea.
Most of the wines were very complimentary to the dishes. Although not sure about the Syrah. A bit much tannin for my taste.
The service was excellent as would be expected in a restaurant of this class. All FOH knew what they were serving and were very informative.
All in a wonderful old bank building on Cuba Street. With all that stone you would expect it to be noisy. However it is very pleasant. Just enough background sound to maintain privacy between tables without making conversation difficult across the table.
If you are in Wellington this place has to be on the "must do" list.
R.
The bistro menu was simply delicious, the staff professional and friendly. Very good value for money and highly recommended!
M.
The perfect 3 course dine-in experience. Outstanding service. Magnetic ambience. Delicious food. Must try!.... though not for penny-pinchers.
R.
Had the 5 course degustation menu and it was outstanding. The highlight for me was the Paua Ravioli and the Market Fish Oka. We were seated in the “crows nest”, which offered a great view of Cuba Street but was really hot and stuffy. That kind of made the night a bit uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and I loved the jazz music.
Y.
The dinner was delicious! The pistachio Cake was amazing! Very professional services!
I had a great evening! Thank you
C.
Congratulations. Probably the best meal and service we have ever had. A credit to your team. You should be very proud
R.
Service was great, food was great. Worth the price for a special date night or celebration. Wine pairing a must.
M.
We visited LB for my husband's 60th birthday and were delighted from start to finish. Food was excellent in taste and presentation . The staff absolutely fantastic, especially Jude and the bartender, Elliott LB was always a bucket list item for my husband and it was well worth the trip. Thank you LB for making this birthday extra special
A.
Couldn't fault them at all. Food was delicious, service immaculate! Definitely recommend
G.
As usual a wonderful place to relax enjoy a great meal, fantastic service- attentive but discreet service. A must if you have never been there. Semi set menu lovely, great choices to chose from, especially the paua ravioli, simply beautiful. Ps Thursday was the night we went well done guys
F.
superior quality of food as fine dinning restaurant. great service & dinning environment. always like to go back again.
D.
It's still an iconic restaurant but I feel it's definitely gone off the boil. Serving sizes are smaller and flavour profiles are less distinct than previous visits. We did this same menu a few months ago and the portions and flavours were completely different.
The wait staff were awkward and seemed stressed even with a half empty restaurant. Logan Brown needs to lift its game to get into the "must visit" again. I hope they do, as the building itself is a neo-roman styled marvel. Simply beautiful and very unique in the Wellington foodie scene.
The iconic paua ravioli was tasty but a single ravioli just wasn't enough.
The beef cheek was good but there are quite a number of restaurants doing similar dishes and this one was good but not inspiring.
The sides were small, the mushrooms were delicious, the Brussels sprouts were okay. The truffle fries were a struggle. Poorly plated, ungenerous in portion, and simply the wrong cut.
I don't want to sound like I'm dissing the LB because I've always been a fan, but things ain't what they used to be.
Forget the dumb slices of bread,
Go back to the dinner rolls.
And don't be so tight on the portions.
N.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere - the best dining experience I have ever had tonight at Logan Brown's. This is my first visit here and hopefully not my last, I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family. First class dining pleasure.
D.
Fantastic birthday dinner, great food and service, will definitely be back.
C.
Absolutely loved every aspect of our visit here! Amazing service, our waiter Pietro was helpful and so lovely. He made our night! The food and drinks were delicious - the paua ravioli was particularly good. We will definitely be back!
O.
This review is about 4 years late, however I remembered that I promised to leave a review and just never got around to it.
My friend and I had easily the best degustation experience we have ever had here at LB.
We flew up to Welly from QT for my birthday and were one of the later customers to dine, yet never felt like we were being ushered along.
The food was nothing short of spectacular with service to match.
To this day, it is still up there as the best experience I have ever had.
Thank you team for an unforgettable experience that I still froth over 4 years later hahahaha
D.
Great food and very helpful and professional staff....very good venue for the big event
S.
The menu is not huge but the innovative ways the ingredients are cooked and used, and the fantastic wine selection make this one of my favorite restaurants in Wellington
R.
An amazing experience, the food was great and so was the service. My favourite was actually the cheese board but it was all fantastic.
A.
A good fine dining place. They also offer early bird set menu.
w.
Don’t expect meals to be large or cheap. This is a restaurant which offers beautiful but small plates and is worth the experience. The 3-course menu was enjoyed by us all and the service and surroundings were great. Very classy building and decor, food was out of this world delicious. Staff were amazing
D.
Looking for any excuse to go back, it was an amazing way to celebrate my partner's 30th. Each dish was spot on.
B.
Brilliantly understated charm and sophistication with a 100% Kiwi twist.
The menu is small yet each dish so incredibly complex with more elements than the periodic table! Well done and happy 25th birthday LB!
N.
Fantastic meal. We had the chef's tasting menu.
K.
Delicious, well presented food with friendly staff.
A.
First visit to Logan Brown, had an early evening table for 2 ppl. Service was very good, maybe a little over the top. Hadn't realised there is a set menu, that said they had lovely choices and offered to make variations if required, but unfortunately I had been expecting a la carte. Wines by glass are quite expensive. My main disappointment upon arrival was being escorted through the gorgeous restaurant that is shown on all photos and then seated at a strangely shaped anteroom where the smaller tables are. It just felt a bit weird being seated away from the main dining hum which I would have much preferred.
S.
Good quality. Perfect food. Service very kind and pro. Good coffee. A bit to expensive and the portions a bit too small.
C.
Fabulous food for an exceptional price. $70 for a full 3 course top quality meal plus breads. Couldn't fault anything including the service. Will definitely be back....
L.
Went for bistro menu, food is perfect but thought service was going to be all fancy, had high expectations that fell flat - not even friendly. Music was so mediocre. One thing I did like was the drinks menu.
S.
Had a great meal, went for my partners birthday lunch. Everything was so yummy, absolutely no complaints. Service was really great, our kiwi waitress was so lovely. The truffle butter is a must, i still think about it now. worth every penny.
Z.
Very nice restaurant. Amazing food and great service.
The waiter we had was a little bit too 'visible' and in our face for our liking, but he tried and was nice.
J.
Valentines evening dinner at LB was magical. The seating was intimate, service immaculate, the food just too good to describe. A very complete experience from beginning to end.
Nb. Bread starter and the butter was such a novelty for a New Zealand restaurant and boy did they do it well x
A.
As a first experience at this restaurant I was a bit let down. We had to wait 35 minutes to be seated after our reservation time while a girl who was also seated at the bar had to wait 45 minutes to finally be seated. By this stage it was well after 10pm and we were very hungry and a bit tired. The food was great but the staff weren't engaging. I can now say I've eaten there, but I won't be going back.
L.
Would give 6/5 stars if we could. Incredible food and service. The waitstaff were so knowledgable and friendly. Absolutely would recommend this dinning experience to anyone who may be on the fence. Can't wait to go back again.
L.
Great food, great service all that you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. My only criticism (minor of course) is the cocktails were not up to the same standard of the food and I have enjoyed many a cocktails from other restaurants.
S.
Very special. Great service amazing food and the building itself is gorgeous. We had the chef's menu which was on point
W.
Always a great experience terrific service and beautiful food
D.
Special occasion out with the family. Food was very good but we felt let down a little by the service. It was 20 minutes before we even received our menus.
Really nice environment inside but the wine prices were also quite steep.
M.
Highly recommend, with bartender Elliot and his team offering a welcoming down-to-earth atmosphere. And their mulled cider is a definite winner! - will be back for more this winter:)
J.
Food was cooked to perfection, well balanced with immaculate presentation. The wine matches were on point. The service was outstanding, not rushed but very attentive.
Staff were relaxed, knowledgeable and friendly.
C.
When he said there's a fishtank in the bar... he meant 'the bar top has a fish 🐟 tank built into it.'
L.
We went in for lunch and decided to go with the bistro menu. The food was excellent and amazing value at $50pp. We were very pleased with our experience the only thing I would say was that the staff didn’t seem to have that much training in fine dining but this is understandable seeing as we went for lunch at midday so probably would have been better at night. Overall would definitely recommend. We enjoyed Paua, a Jowl, and the Venison; the latter replete with a testicular-shaped money bag that proved edible. Delicious and great service.
P.
The atmosphere and service are great, but the taste of food , for me I'm not a big fan of it though.
W.
Always fine fare and did not disappoint once again. 3 courses for $75, matching wine $50 - not bad for 5 star silver service!
Happy belated birthday Sis!
P.
Friendly staff and the food is good. It is just not great food on international fine dining standards. If you order a 200$ bottle of wine you should always open it at the table although the barkeeper very well recommended my type.
S.
Great food. Quite pricey but if you want to try it out, I would recommend booking an early time and try their set menu. This presents their excellent food at a slightly lower price. The service is friendly and quick. The atmosphere is outstanding. We enjoyed the look of the old Victorian bank that was still preserved, while giving a feeling of privacy to most of the tables. I would go back in a heartbeat.
R.
Just gotta give this a 5 star. The whole experience was amazing - from the emails regarding requested changes regarding dietary requirements to the birthday cake ordered. The staff are very attentive and so friendly and informative. Great food knowledge. Yep - it is a little expensive but well worth the experience. We had the five course degustation and the paua ravioli was very nice but my dish of the evening was the venison. All five of us really enjoyed the evening and the ‘dietary’ issue was handled so well. Already planning a return. Thanks
M.
The premier fine dining experience in wgtn next to Hippopotamus. Gorgeous old bank venue on street corner. Ornate columns. Etc. But it has left me flat almost every time I've been (perhaps once a year). Food is immaculate, well judged. Service attentive. Prices are high but deserved. Always busy. Tables spaced perfectly. But, well, it just never engages me.
H.
Romantic high end restaurant but the price is reasonable for the quality of food. You do need to make reservation
D.
Had a great meal at Logan Brown. We opted for the taster menu with the wines to accompany each course. Each course got the taste buds working overtime - and all the food cooked to perfection. The front of house service was exceptional with all the staff being knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This was our last night of our holiday and this was a great end to our holiday. We will return to Logan Brown when we head back to your lovely country. Thank you.
A.
Excellent service and food is amazing!

Yum yum yum !
My first visit , we had a large group and did the $70 for three courses . Food was soo good , service was great and they looked after us well. I spent all the money , my belly was full and I was happy.
S.
Lovely building and nice relaxed atmosphere. We had the bistro menu and the starter and dessert were pretty good but my main course was a bit of a let down. I chose the lamb and it really lacked flavour. The additional purees and extras had good flavour and the wine was very good. Service was very good and staff polite.
Maybe my expectations were too high before going here. I would return but only if a couple of other Wellington restaurants were not open. Oh and ditch the bread before the meal! There was no need for it and something you expect at a cheaper restaurant.
M.
Undoubtably one of the best fine dining experiences I have had the privilege and pleasure of introducing my tastebuds to. The service hosts are impeccable and the atmosphere a decadent delight of yesteryear. The presentation of the food is a pure sensational delight that engages and heightens one’s senses to the maximum level, then delivers on its unmentioned promise on every aspect from sight and taste. The combination of flavours, textures, ingredients and anticipation delivered on every key note.
A.
Loved it. We came across it by chance yesterday afternoon whilst spending a day in Wellington central. We were able to get a last minute booking and the experience was brilliant from start to finish. Service by our waiter Michael was faultless, he was very personable and informative with wine recommendations. Very attentive service and the food was beautiful in presentation and in flavour. The building itself is historical and striking to look at but also had a cozy warm feel to it. I'd definitely go back next time i am in Wellington.
K.
Fantastic restaurant, probably the most notable of our trip through New Zealand
J.
Exceptional food and service. Thanks for a lovely evening.
R.
The Saturday night express menu was amazing. It was a highlight to the Pre Wow experience. The bread, melt in your mouth salmon, fish that smelt amazing on arrival so tender. I didn’t want to finish eating the panna cotta it was so delicious and was recommended by the waiter. Great food with accomplishments and great service. Thank you.
D.
Simply the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food, service and atmosphere is unmatched. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
C.
Definitely one of the better places to dine in Wellington! Not cheap ... but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for! I have no pics unfortunately as we took overseas visitors to dinner and I didn't wish to appear rude. Besides which, It never crossed my mind at the time lol Highly recommend...!!!
S.
Great food and service will definitely be back
K.
One of Wellington's great restaurants. Amazing old Bank decor, fabulous food and expert staff. We had lunch just recently accompanied by a lovely quintet of orchestral instruments. Could you have wished for anything better!
H.
Such a beautiful dining experience. Such kind attentive waiting staff. Definitely recommend. Will go again.
C.
Great food!!!! A little slow on service, forgot about us waiting for our drinks... but apart from that pretty awesome place.
B.
A fantastic experience. Great service throughout, a well-composed set menu and good matches with drinks and wine. Children’s menu also a fine balance between what is desired and expanding the taste spectre. Absolutely recommended.
T.
The food is excellent however...
We were given different menus amongst the group of 5 which caused initial confusion. We were advised that we either ALL had to eat from the "Bistro" menu or all from the A La Carte menu, some could not do one or the other which seemed strange. The staff insisted this is mentioned on their website but I certainly can't see anything that says that.
The waitress said we could swap things out but only if we had allergies which added to the confusion and she seemed confused about it herself!
Great food and wine but the service was disappointing.
C.
AMAZING tasting menu with the wine pairing! Found it to be not that expensive considering the quality of the whole experience. Enjoyed it so much the first night, booked again for the day after! It was still divine!
C.
Absolutely loved our visit to Logan Brown on Friday night. The food was absolutely fantastic, the best steak that my partner has ever had and my venison was mouthwatering. Our waiter, Noah, was lovely and attentive, same goes for the rest of the staff! Cannot wait to come back!!
A.
Great food but the wait between the courses was completely obnoxious, we ended up sitting around for three hours only to have a rather light feed. Even with the great company the atmosphere deflated after a while and we all felt fortunate to leave.
C.
Paua ravioli is still the closest thing you'll get to perfection on a plate. The rest of the tasting meal was okay. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fancy, but relaxed, can easily rock up in jeans and a tshirt and not feel judged.
Staff are lovely and knowledgeable and the wine list is a thing of beauty.
S.
Visited Logan Brown as a couple today and ordered the tasting menu. both the foo and service were exceptional, our waitress Zoe was knowledgeable and easily dealt with my fussy palette to provide alternative wines that suited the food perfectly. 11/10 and would definitely visited again.
M.
Went for lunch service was below average and food was good
Probably should be be giving 3 stars but feeling a little soft
S.
A fantastic experience. Great service throughout, a well-composed set menu and good matches with drinks and wine. Children’s menu also a fine balance between what is desired and expanding the taste spectre. Absolutely recommended.
E.
Oh my gosh! AMAZING! we just had the chefs tasting menu and it was all so delicious. The building itself is beautiful and provides a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and provided perfect service. We will be back!
J.
Very tasty food in a nice setting. The food was really great, but also the service deserves a special shout out. If I'm ever in this part of the world again, I'll come back for sure.
S.
Excuse my language but it was F@$ken Amazeballs. From entrée to dessert, there is no critiquing this meal other than you did not want it to end. Definitely coming back for this
J.
5 stars - on the top of our list of places to eat - we will definitely be back
The customer service as well is just as good as the meals. You get what you pay for here and they are well worth the price tag
See you guys again on our next trip to the windy city
A.
incredibly good food, great service and a really nice atmosphere. We've booked a table for our first wedding anniversary - per request they even arranged an amazing flower bouquet waiting at our table, I loved it! We totally recommend Logan Brown! Thanks for this special evening
A.
Had a fabulous family dinner and 30th birthday celebration in the upper room. Food was excellent as always. Huge shout out to Jude (who apparently came in on his day off to wait on us), we haven't laughed so much in ages. Thanks for putting up with us and being such a good sport!
The Wolf Pack
S.
Beautiful food. Served perfectly and great staff.
P.
It's been about 20 years since I was last at Logan Brown. And I decided that as it was our 15th wedding anniversary I thought this would be something different and memorable. Logan Brown mostly delivered. We had the 7 course degustation, with matching wines. The kingfish oka, Paua Ravioli, and lamb shank were on the money as was the dessert. But the cheese selection was okay but not great, and the pork was really poor, my wife's was badly under cooked and inedible. As was another couple we spoke to. Was surprised that Logan Brown didn't offer a free coffee or so much as some money off. Our main server was bright and engaging young man, though interestingly when we were settling the bill, the front of house never asked if we enjoyed the meal... Some of the courses were very very good, but sadly some others weren't. Also some of the wine matches were underwhelming. Wanted to give it 9 but couldn't justify more than 7
L.
Most probably one of the best fine dining experience in the land of the long white cloud. The paua ravioli was exquisite. Lovely decor, mouth-watering tummy satisfying food and exceptional staff service.
D.
Been to a few of these Fine Dining places and Logan Brown is in the top 2 or 3. Awesome that they don't just follow other Fine dining places with the same dishes. The paua ravs and pork jowl were awesome. We would definitely go there again.
e.
Thanks Steve
I really enjoy your menu and like to come to your restaurant when I am in Wellington. We had the tasting menu and every dish was perfect. Coming from a Maori rural New Zealand community, I love how you subtlety converge hi brow with some childhood hangi and boil up flavours. Think the pork dish captures this in a way that is indescribable. My favourite dish is consistently the paua ravioli which I describe as your signature dish at Logan brown.
Last night the pudding was ok, I thought it was almost like a deconstructed tiramisu flavours wise, but would love to see play on nostalgic nz puddings with the modern twist like I experienced in the rest of the meal. Feel like a trifle experience meets creme brûlée or Portuguese custard pies would be life changing.
For me the cheese platter was standout and a real pleasure.
My only real concern last night was the service and interaction with the waiting staff was flat if not awkward. We are not the wealthiest people so spending 400 plus on a meal is a big deal, and a shift in the style of service would boost the experience 10 fold. I would not say it was rude, but also did not feel manaaki. Maybe it’s the way I see myself, but I personally feel there is a bridging of New Zealand through your foods. The tekoteko in the middle of your restaurant is a bold statement and affirmation of our Maori culture. I think if there was a deeper understanding of what it means to host from a Maori cultural point of view it could really enhance the overall dining experience.
Appreciate the opportunity to feedback, so thanks for asking.
Nga mihi

We had the seven course deguatation menu with wine matches. What a fantastic experience. The food was incredible, the service impeccable and the atmosphere was great as well. I would recommend this as an experience you must do if you like great food and wine!
J.
Excellent evening at Logan Brown from arrival, service, food and drinks. Thanks for a memorable night !
M.
Always a delight to have a meal here. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, and the staff always make us feel special. As for the food, every mouthful is delightful. If you have trouble deciding, don't worry everything is delicious and the staff are very knowledgable. You will want every plateful to last forever.
D.
One of the best if not the best place for fine dining in Wellington. The set menu offered lots of different flavours within each dish. Great place if you are after extra ordinary food.
J.
This was my first visit to Logan Brown - don't know why I waited so long! The food, service and ambience lived up to its reputation. We had the degustation menu with accompanying wines - simply delish. I will be back.
D.
Home Run!!! I had the Rib Steak with truffle fries and it was amazing! The bone marrow and mushrooms that came with the steak put it over the top. Wine list is great as well. I enjoyed a rare bottle of 2001 Kaesler Old Bastars Shiraz and it was perfection! I am picky about my steak and wine and this place exceeded my expectations!!!
T.
We had the bistro menu 50pp. The entree and dessert was lovely but our mains were disappointing ...the duck and fish were over cooked...tough ...the waitress was good but we were not served bread prior or with our entree ..I think the staff could do eith more training..
K.
I had a lovely evening at Logan Brown with my Girlfriends - we went in for the pre-theatre menu, with half-glass wine matching. The food was stunning (of course!) and our waitress was wonderful - she was able to explain the purpose for each match, with good tasting notes for each of our wines. I thoroughly recommend the Bistro Menu for someone looking for an affordably luxurious night out!
C.
Wine was amazing but the food fell well below expectations. Broth was so salty neither of us could eat any and the goats cheese gnocchi was just a huge let down.
B.
Fantastic Fine dinning! Easily the best restaurant I have been to in Wellington.
S.
Awesome food, great wine pairings with the pre-theatre menu. Best service I've had anywhere for a long time, very knowledgeable waiting staff. Can't wait to go back.
C.
Food was excellent. The service was good but not really at the standard I would expect for a top tier restaurant.
A.
This was a fantastic experience. The food is superb. The Chef tasting menu was a delight. I will happily come back and bring all my friends
K.
Absolutely exquisite dining experience. Beautiful venue, professional and friendly staff. Some of the best food I've ever had. The signature paua ravioli is a definite must.
S.
Meal was great. Was a bit of a wait but thats expected when a place is full like it was. Had the set meal and it was so full of flavour. Dessert was definitely the stand out though. Really enjoyed it.
C.
Amazing. Artistically presented sumptuous morsels of delight. Our waitress for the evening was friendly and thoughtful. I recommend pairing the wine to the dishes. Enjoy your evening we did.
P.
In the top ten of Wellington restaurants. A little expensive. Portions a little small but very tasty. Service is very good. Upmarket dinning. Great for a romantic date or a special treat.
N.
Always a pleasure to dine hear. Top quality cuisine every time without fail. Gorgeous decor. Perfect for a romantic dinner or special group event
B.
Love the food, couldn't have asked for better. The place is amazing. Will be going back for sure.
S.
After booking a birthday dinner for my wife and following a glowing cuisine recommendation we headed for dinner. Was greeted with a wonderful smile and the restaurant setting beyond beautiful. The service was good but slow and fairly inattentive. Knowledge of the menu was average. Surprising as the food is very simple. Asked what an xpa beer on the drinks menu and was greeted with a blank stare and a response was that she didn't know whether it was dark or light. Food for the price was average. Certainly expecting alot more for the price. Risotto was very salty which really limited my ability to customise the flavour. Wife's Papradelle was bland and lacking . After spending a week in Auckland where I must say we were blown away by the food, Wellington has much to learn
D.
This is one of the porsche restaurant, I must say. Food is bit expensive but total worth it for foodies. I went here with one my friend cum business partner and we both really enjoyed the food here. Staff is very friendly and informative and they tell you about the history of food in detail if u interested. Total worth it for date or just meetings.
J.
Very good food. One of the best restaurants in the country. Amazing service. Quite expensive, but as you would expect for fine dining. Lunch options are good too
S.
We went to the Wellington on a Plate event with the food and wine match last night. What a fabulous event. Steve was welcoming at the door and said we would start with a few glasses of the bubbles with oysters and tua tua fritters. Sean was shucking oysters and making it look easy. They both gave an enlightening talk on the food and wine that was to follow.
The food was absolutely brilliant, thanks Sean.
The wine to match was superb,
What a great evening,
Thanks guys.
C.
Fabulous food. Great Restaurant.
D.
Flavours met expectations. Portion sizes of main presentations should be upsized so that customers identified these as a main dish, not merely another entre
W.
Fantastic food. Thanks chefs. Fantastic service thanks to our waitress and everyone else working hard that night for making it an unforgettable evening. You guys rock
j.
Very good fine dinning. Loved it! Service and food was stunning and the building was very cool.
A.
Great service and great setting. The food was quite good, my only gripe would be that the set menu dinner time is only 1730 - 1930 which is a bit early for me. Would love to try the degustation menu one day.
C.
The 7 course meal with the wine pairing was an exceptional experience! Beautiful presentation of each course and the flavors were amazing!
M.
Food delicious and staff wonderfully helpful and friendly.
Really enjoyed the experience
R.
One of Wellington’s best restaurants for a reason! Amazing food, incredible atmosphere, and extremely hospitable staff. Fine dining at its best.
A.
Love this place. Excellent food with unpretentious top-class service in the atmospheric old bank building. Definitely try the wine match with the bistro menu.
I.
Amazing food beautiful mood.
D.
First class service, recommend wine tasting with menu, well worth it. Superb setting and atmosphere.
A.
Really excellent food (five course tasting menu) and surroundings. Friendly staff dispite the pressure of having a malfunctioning dishwasher discharging water all over the floor.
K.
Magical, absolutely amazing service food wine ambiance. Just a delight. Sooo recommend it. Never disappoints.
Y.
What a truly memorable experience from the elegant surrounding architecture of the old bank , relaxing decor and most helpful and knowledgeable waiter to the fine dining we enjoyed. This is a classy New Zealand eatery that should be on everyone's ToDo list.
Thanks to our young lady (pastry chef ) waiter for adding touches for our experience with providing a tasting of the Truffle oil we had not encountered previously.
R.
A perfect night celebrating my partners birthday. Thank you for the amazing food and service!
K.
Fantastic and great wine list!
C.
It's nice food but has no passion. Reminds me of an expensive hotel restaurant.
The building itself is lovely on the inside.
A.
Great interesting and delectable gourmet food. Don't expect large servings, especially on the bistro menu. They are small servings for the price.
C.
Delicious and flavor some food. Beautifully presented.
Atttentive and respectful service.
Softly light with only a small amount of back ground noise.
M.
Excellent service and absolutely delicious and beautifully presented dishes! Had a wonderful experience 👍🏻
R.
Top spot, but not as good as previous visits
M.
My third visit to what I always say is Wellington's best restaurant. As usual they didn't disappoint. Great food, great staff, great venue!
F.
This restaurant never disappoints. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious.
L.
Excellent food, excellent service and really good wine in character surroundings. Couldn't quite bring myself to try the paua, but maybe next time.
B.
The food is good and so was the service. We've only been once and it's likely to stay that way given that a family meal here is about the same price as a family sedan.
c.
I have to say that this one of my favorites restaurants in Wellington. Beautiful place, friendly staff and delicious food.
S.
Amazing food. Great to treat yourself occasionally. Excellent service.
B.
Exactly as you'd expect from one of Wellington's top restaurants. Delicious food and great service, served in an impressive atmosphere. Thanks for the amazing experience!

C.
Amazingly classy restraint that serves amazing food I would highly reccomend. Especially during wellington on a plate as there burgers are to die for!
P.
Excellent food and wine. Sadly, the bad acoustics in the old bank also make it a very noisy venue.
C.
We had the $50 5:30 menu with wine pairings. Fantastic food
