The menu possibly changes every day. Interesting but good combinations. The staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients if you have allergies (or know who to ask). I had to ask for no garlic so it's important they understand it hides in everything.

My friend and I had a late lunch today. We really enjoyed the Woodfired Chicken Sausage Pizza , Mocha and Chai Latte. Sarah is a superstar. She was so lovely and looked after us very well. One of the best experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. Will definitely be back when we are in Wellington next time!! Thanks heaps and take care team.

This was just awesome! The service was great - it was quite full and we didn't have a booking and got seated immediately. Staff were lovely. The food was incredible!! We definitely rolled out of there with our bellies full. Try the fig bread!

I would have put a 3,8 if possible. 5 ⭐️ for the service 3 ⭐️ for atmosphere 3,5⭐️ food. My partner first ordered risotto and they were out of it, then he went for his second option that they were of it too. He ended up ordering chicken schnitzel, which was good. I ordered a chicken sausage pizza: the dough was good, but it was over powdered with nutmeg?? Not sure what it was, but it was completely taking over all other flavours.

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, great service. Perfect place to start the day with brunch 😊I very much enjoyed my feijoa, yoghurt, and puffed spelt breakfast and my mum enjoyed her waffles, too!! Lovely drinks as well - enjoyed the homemade marshmallow with the hot chocolate 🥰

Fan-friggen-tastic, stopped in for dinner late on Saturday night & so glad we did. Food was some of the best we have EVER had, so much flavour Service was exceptional & the atmosphere was nice & relaxed Not the cheapest around but worth every cent for such a great evening Will definitely be back

I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. I have never had a disappointing meal or service. Extremely creative menu. There's something very organic about their food. Everything is fresh, wholesome and delicious. I love their salads and sodas. Their desserts and baking are right up there. A really cool restaurant.

Really enjoyed ourselves here. Shared a pizza with my daughter - 3 big bits each...delicious. and then shared a piece of Basque cheesecake- also really tasty. Nice environment, but even better was the service we got - fantastic. Water constantly topped up and friendly waitress and team in general.

Healthy options like unique salads, great pizza, yummy non alcoholic drinks, coffee and teas. Desserts are awesome too. I'd come back here any day. Located in the heart of Cuba street. Nicely decorated and contemporary. Lots of seating. Can get very busy.

Delicious schnitzel and great service very attentive. I just got the schnitzel, unfortunately it’s extra for sides and if you are eating alone it’s too $$ to get a variety of the sides as they all did look delicious! Great decor and will be back!

Stylish Cafe with large area for seating. Tastefully decorated with minimal fuss. Food was disappointing, we had potato pizza which looked wonderful when it arrived but was pretty tasteless. The base was very thin and was more like a flatbread, the only thing we could taste was the cheese out of all the ingredients. The price was quite expensive at $28 just for the pizza which in my opinion was not worth it. The service was good with friendly waiting staff.

We went to Loretta for breakfast and the waitress recommended us the Green Egg. We had Macacchino and flat white. Love the coffee and food, simple but really fresh. There is a chill vibe in the air. We also had a bread like scone but it was better than scone with fruit made sauce. It was a New Zealand dish. We had it all and nothing was left. The waitress was very happy we love the ones she recommended. She was very kind and cute. We missed the Green Egg and the special bread l, really yummy! We also bought a book called The Cuba Street Project. Love it.

I ordered pasta tubes with wild boar ragu and it was delicious! Spacious venue, clean and modern. Everyone food looked great, but it's not the cheapest place. My bowl of pasta priced at $24 left me wanting more and I definitely needed a side. The dishes here make more sense to be sharing plates. I would visit again for meetings and with friends, but not a place I would come to if I wanted a decent sized meal. Parking was a breeze.

I’ve yet to see an Asian Fusion dessert menu that makes me stay on for desserts, so after a fabulous dinner elsewhere, we strolled along to Loretta’s for their dessert menu. My daughter and fiancé have obviously done this before as I pretty much heard what was on the menu, and what were the favourites before we arrive. In the end, we order 2 and half desserts to be shared between 3, and they did not disappoint. Open form pie, 2-tone New York chocolate cheesecake, and a scoop of salted caramel ice cream (I think!), and a cup of fresh mint tea comes to $32. It’s a large, long space, which has the bar and open kitchen down one side, and homemade preserves for sale too. A lovely spot, and another restaurant that I’d love revisit for something other than dessert.

Enjoyed the most delicious crumpets, serville orange curd and coconut yogurt for breakfast. The food was sensational, and the flavours mouth watering. Fantastic attentive staff and just such a lovely atmoshphere. Can not wait to go back again. And the coffee was AMAZING.

I chose to eat here because I was looking for a light lunch and the menu had a few choices for sandwiches which sounded different, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The menu also had many other options for larger meals including pizza and salads which all sounded gourmet. Inside it is a big place, and the service was OK without being great, as was the coffee. Interestingly they print the menus daily and include daily weather details.

Simply delicious. Lots of Gf available. We ordered the beef and the outstanding pork which came with a huge tasty salad. Would highly recommend.

Staff were very attentive and really knew the menu (even though I had it on good authority that the menu changes alot). The food was cooked to perfection and despite what the waitress said, it was more than enough for one to have one main. Very much designed to be a sharer menu but allows for you to have your own.

Amazing waffles with all sorts of delicious flavours (elderflower syrup, lemon, poppyseeds and coconut yoghurt). The service was quick, even though it was busy. Coffee was also very nice - flat white was strong and creamy.

I got the smoked salmon with capers and watercress, horseradish cream and seed bread with a side of avo. Its hard for me to go wrong with salmon. It was the perfect amount and the seed bread was delish, though would not have been quite the same without the addition of avo. All in all a very satisfying experience and will hopefully return soon! .

Amazing spot for brunch or lunch! Great selection of dishes (plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from as well) with really good portion sizes. Great vibes and the interior fitout is really well done. Also a bunch of great coffee, tea and juices to choose from.

Many of the menu items aren't in my flavor wheelhouse but the item I got, green eggs, was fantastic. I'd go back again if just to get the same thing. Update- dropped in for lunch and had an excellent chicken pie

Noooooo! Your pizzas suddenly went from THE BEST to just average. Fundamentally not the same. (What happened?!) Service still impeccable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

My friend and I were hesitant to try it out at first but we were greeted warmly and the ambiance felt cosy. Tried out Croque Madame and man, it was heaven! Has free wi-fi and clean toilets. Will make sure to recommend to any friends coming down to Wellington.

Sunday brunch on a rare, sunny day in Welly. It wasn’t crazy busy at 10am, although most tables were filled. My flat white was ok, but the main attractions were definitely the food! Green eggs (two fried eggs, gremolata on toast) were perfectly fried with crispy undersides and wobbly, oozing orange yolks. The gremolata was herbaceous and fresh. Though ordinarily served on sourdough, I opted for the seed toast. Good decision! Dense, chewy dark slices of pumpernickel-esque bread was exactly what I wanted. Also had a bite of the waffles with coconut yoghurt. The waffle was chewy, springy and tasted almost like a sourdough batter. Sprinkled with poppyseeds, tangy elderflower syrup and a light dusting of icing sugar, it was a grown up version of the floppy blocks from childhood. The coconut yoghurt was fluffy with thin ribbons of coconut flesh. It was decadent without being too much.

Amazing Pizza, but coffee was average and prices were expensive compared to other cafes in the area. Friends also enjoyed it, waffles looked really good. The Continental breakfast was not worth recommending again

Simply delicious. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Lots of gf available. Would highly recommend

So pleasantly rewarded with excellent food. Simple dishes that were quietly outstanding. The Maitre'd looked perturbed that we had a toddler and ushered us to the very back but, that was minor compared to how wonderful the range of dishes were. The waitress was attentive and the food arrived in a reasonable time, despite how busy they were. I would not hesitate to recommend them, unless you have difficult to wrangle toddlers.

An eclectic menu. I stuck with the tried and true eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms and bacon. The gluten free bread was particularly delicious. Could have done with a few more mushrooms but overall a very yummy meal.

Meh. To be honest I was underwhelmed. The staff didn't have a lot of personality, or care, and the food took 2 hours from when we ordered. It arrived Luke warm - like it had sat for a while before someone decided to bring it to us. It was tasty though. We shared our 3 mains between us, and the Pork was a stand out. I'd go back probably, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The service was good, and the food tasty, I had schnitzel which came with an egg, but felt it needed some salad or greens to balance it out.

AMAZING food. The madame croquette was insanely delicious at breakfast. Loretta easily has some of the best food in Wellington! Don’t miss it!

We are here celebrating birthdays and we have an amazing pork pizza it smells divine. The staff are very friendly and efficient pizza was as good as it smelled now for strawberry and rhubarb pie. Mmmmm😋

Had brunch there. The environment is very cool and quiet. I love the decoration style. Had waffle with coconut and bacon, and pasta for brunch. Really love the pasta! Pork inside is a bit like Asian style, quite unusual ant tasty!

Food is amazing and of a high quality, the vibe is nice! Sat there for a good few hours chatting and didn't feel pressured to leave. Staff and friendly and attentive!

Really liked the clean and minimalist interior - menu was fun and diverse with something for everyone. They catered well for the 7 year old with us and the service was friendly. The food took a while to arrive but when it did, it was pretty good. Highlight was the chicken pie. Would recommend.

On the more expensive side, but it was worth it for a great coffee, food and friendly service! Seemed to have been run very well and the place is huge !!

If I could give Loretta's 6 stars I would! My partner and I just ate here for dinner, and MY GOODNESS, the pizzas are entirely out of this world! They are so delicious that I was speechless, which is difficult for me as an extrovert Leo. The service is great, staff are amazing, and the atmosphere is romantic yet chic. Loretta, thank you for one of the best meals of my entire life. Xoxo

We’ve visited Loretta about three times now and generally love the fresh flavours, beautiful handmade crockery and friendly service. It’s always a reliable option. Unfortunately on our last visit the chicken was served bloody and when we politely asked for it to be cooked a little longer the waitress contradicted us and what was a minor request made us feel very uncomfortable. It was our first negative experience there of multiple visits but made me less likely to go back.

Great spot for dinner, which was able to accommodate our large group. The food was tasty, especially the chicken pie. Also, the service was quite friendly.

The risotto here was over salted. Tasted like eating a bag of herb salt. The same can be said of the pasta ragu. The ‘Croque Monsieur’ bread to filling ratio was way off - the dense and doughy bread was not well supplemented by such a meagre slice of cheese and filling. The drinks were fine tho. <3

Loretta's ambiance is a little rustic and very pleasant. The cafe is unexpectedly roomy with ample group seating options. But it is the excellent food that really sets it apart. Following some advice from the locals, I went for their pasta, which was indeed excellent. I highly recommend it and will ensure we're back when time allows.

Nice atmosphere with open kitchen. Very good pizzas and food. Bread was delicious and soup was as well. I wish my side salad was cut up smaller though...it was difficult to eat and cut.

The coffee here is cheap with refills but they will look at you with contempt if you sit there and drink refills for four hours. The food costs a bit but it's well worth it, delicious food, try the pizza. The staff are friendly which is nice. There's a section towards the back which is nice and quiet and has a heater, perfect if you want to chill out with a book for awhile. All in all a great place to stop in for lunch. Although personally I'm just here for the coffee.

I could have been in New York. Best pizza ever. And the service was 5 star. The waitress knew the menu and was confident in recommending a wine match. Awesome.

Very patient staff. We booked a table of 7 adults and 3 children for 12.30 on a Saturday. Mark at Loretta mentioned there may be a small wait, and there was none. Some members of the party were caught on traffic and the party wasn't complete until 1pm. The team at Loretta were very understanding and the service was outstanding. There was a consensus that the Chicken Schnitzel was outstanding. I had the Croque Madam which was delicious, and deceptively filling. The bloody marys are also well worth it. One plate was a bit over salted and when this was mentioned to the wait staff, the resolution was swift and welcome. An added bonus is that after a great brunch, there's Slowboat Records and RPM (another record store right next door and a couple of shops down the road). Feels good to support local. A great day which started at Loretta.

Always great service, the team are quick, smart and attentive, food good tho I often feel a touch bovine as I munch on salad with bits hanging out of my mouth. It's hard to eat watercress with elegance and class.

Massive place and would be good for big groups, however I don't see what the fuss with this place is. It's very overpriced for what you actually get and service is particularly slow at peak time. The 'green eggs' are just eggs with herbs on top, charged at a premium. Have a look at their insta before going. There are way better brunch options in Wellington, was a bit disappointed to be honest.

Soup on a cold day was excellent

Great location, ambience and decor but the food was very average. The menu was strange and the food uninspiring. Warmed rice (risotto) looked like it had been made in bulk and was okay. Schnitzel was literally just a large amount of schnitzel and an egg on top. There was no balance to the meal. We would have ordered sides to complete the dishes but there was none on the menu. Wine was delicious though, and staff attentive

Was able to get a seat straight away on labour day, which was proving difficult at other places. Friendly staff, good seasoned food and coffee. Only thing is the seed in the bread could be a bit hard on the teeth at times, so next time I'll swap it out for something softer. Overall, very good.

Delicious pizza!! The menu is overwhelming but eventually I settled on a chorizo pizza. It 100% hit the spot. The only weird part is that they serve chicken schnitzel on its own. Who does that?!

One line review: "Warning, may contain traces of fennel." Original intention was to go to a different restaurant, which was full, so on a whim tried Loretta as a couple of walk-ins. The team there were accommodating enough with only a 20 min wait to get a table, even on a Saturday night. Navigating around the fennel (can't stand the stuff) on the menu was a little difficult, as a couple of items didn't state it in the description--fair warning to you, the mackerel dip, comes with a fennel seeded rice cracker. Our server sorted that out quickly and no further "suddenly fennel" incidents occurred. We shared the chicken schnitzel for two, with the smokey, roastey jerusalem artichokes as a side. Both were fantastic, and we were absolutely, 100% stuffed by then end. So, of course we had dessert - two of the choc ice creams and the NY cheesecake (which my wife commented was the best she'd ever had). All-in-all, very satisfying meal--even though it wasn't our original destination. I'd definitely pick Loretta as a preference in the future.

Nice place for a casual meal. Interesting dinner menu with something for every taste. We had a couple of pizzas which were excellent (personally I would have liked a more traditional pizza) especially the crispy delicious bases. Service was excellent, friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere pleasant and relaxing. As an aside we visited Loretta the previous day for excellent morning coffee. Definitely recommend!

Loved the entree, but not the main, way too salty and didn’t really like it. (I am from Europe and I know what’s good schnitzel) They had nice selection of wine though and service attentive and friendly:)

I feel the menu is trying to be all things to all people, I'm sure there are good things but I didn't rate anyone at our table's choices. A lot of greens served - great on one level - but to the point of dominating the plate and the flavours. Very popular so they must do some things brilliantly.

Haven’t actually been there yet but owners nice but bad at goalie. He is 5 foot 4 and has injured half our football team so don’t get on his bad side and if so I hope you have insurance.

Tasty but found the meals a bit complicated. Too much going on, with an over dose of greenery and herbs. Haloumi starter just needed to be toned down so the Haloumi was the star. For the cash, definitely not my favourite

Loretta is my favorite place to visit when I am in Wellington. I am sure many visitors have the same favorite sun soaked spot down the back near the window. During the week this spot is easy to get and one can sit in luxury with their drip coffee, plate of biscuits and famous fennel, passion fruit pavlova with whipped coconut cream, for hours on end. On the weekend however the demand for this romantic corner is ever present so one is advised to get in early for the cities best scone and then perhaps a wood fried pizza brunch? My favorite is the flat mushroom, roast garlic, thyme,and parsley, no actually scratch that, get the chicken pie. Thanks team for creating a safe - beautiful place, which is never too fast and never too slow.

The food was really salty, and a bit pricey. Our waitron was either having a really bad night or needs an attitude check. I wasn't offered a drinks menu or had my drinks order taken, and we even got attitude when one of the orders we received was wrong! Won't be high on my list to return...

I went for breakfast and was thoroughly pleased. The eggs on bread was a perfect, with eggs exactly how I liked them on top of amazing super thick seed bread which made me feel healthy eating. I also had their rice dish which was super creamy and delectable. Highly recommend this place the staff are very professional and helpful but not too formal so it gives the place a great character with their added personalities. I will definitely be going again sometime soon for a coffee because they're superb. Thanks for the great morning guys 😄😄

Fantastic European food from all corners in a gorgeous setting. The staff are incredibly professional, with good knowledge of the food and drinks as well. I'd highly recommend any of the salads or pizzas, but be sure to keep drinking water, as the food can err on the salty side. Their pastries and cakes are serious stuff, so don't skip them!

Loretta has great service, the staff were exceptional. I was, however, disappointed with my meal. It was very very salty and I couldn't eat most of it.

I've been to Loretta's a few times and I really like the food. There is a good selection of vegetarian options too. This is an edit of my original review as I have visited again and wanted to upgrade my ranking and review. I feel that Loretta is a great all-day menu option in Wellington and yesterday I really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel sandwich, absolutely delicious. The pies looked amazing and were enjoyed a lot by those who had them and they have a great selection of drinks. We didn't have room for cakes but next time I will try to leave space for one.

I had an amazing croquet madam and there were plenty of other nice looking meals on the menu

Wonderful atmosphere and attentive staff. Had a wonderful salmon platter and chicken woodfire pizza. A bit on the pricey side but I would not feel bad as it was well worth it. Food was made with care and tasted incredible. It made for a wonderful date night spoil. Warm atmosphere. I would highly recommend.

Food was delicious, best fish pie ever! Pizza was a little bit oily but still very yummy. Dessert was also amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this place! Highly recommend for dinner.

The food is fascinating and caters to anyone trying to impress family from outta town. Aucklanders or pretentious rural kiwis alike will love the French tarragon this and the Florence fennel that. Celeriac is there and so is anchovies all through the salad. But actually? The space is too loud which makes you have to shout every word and SEEM like you're pretentious. The prices are ridiculous: honestly I don't need that carbon footprint on my fennel when I find it growing wild at the dog park right here in welly, especially if I'm paying so much more for these fine details. And if im paying 45 for an average bottle of prosecco, I expect an ice bucket. Think ill stick with Southern Cross next time, where a menu also explains what's gluten or dairy free and I can find a cosy nook that saves me from listening to loudtalkers in all directions.

In town from Christchurch on New Years Eve and fortunately chose this place . Staff very friendly and helpful from the start. Wild Boar ragu was delicious and wife enjoyed the recommended wine and Pizza. Will be back next time in Town

One of my favourite places. The food and coffee is great. Staff are amazing and will never let your glass be empty for more than 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure the owner/manager does a lot of the table service there too, which is really neat to see. One of the best things about Loretta is that when they bring out your food or drink, they know exactly who ordered it and just place it down in front of you. Even if it's a different person bringing you the food/drink. Its small things like that that make this place awesome

I went here for a meal with my extended family. Menu caters to people who like to get little bits of everything. Food is healthy and fresh but on the expensive side. I had a potato pizza here and it made me feel good about eating pizza as it was so delicious and felt healthy. Large range of salad to choose from and starters are small portions but delicious. The dessert was the best part. I had a beautiful tart with perfect homemade pastry and delicious filling. I added a sorbet for extra as well. However the sorbet didn't arrive but the friendly staff dealt to it and served me as soon as they realised the mistake. Very positive experience at Loretta

If you have a chance to go here and the Pancetta is on the menu... Get it, it's melt in your mouth! New York cheese cake is great too!!

Everything was amazing up until the point where I specifically ordered a takeaway coffee at the end of the meal and they accidentally brought over a dine-in coffee. When we said that we ordered a takeaway coffee, they took the coffee away and poured it into a takeaway cup and brought it back which was very disappointing when it their mistake. Up until that point we had enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Great food, great atmosphere, just super disappointed about the ending of it.

Simple, deliciously flavoured food, served with flair by observant, obliging staff! That's a recipe for success Loretta.🙂 We've enjoyed on a few occasions now.. thanks once again!

Best breakfast by a long shot. Was tempted to go back on second day of holiday and didn’t and totally regret it. Food fantastic and service great.

A nice, relax g and warm spot on a clod day. We enjoyed our meals and just sat watching people come and go and get together. The food and coffee was very good and the location is spacious and busy, giving an unhurried feel to a pretty cool place.

Just really average customer service and ridiculously salty food. “I saw you the first time!” isn’t an appropriate response when customers are trying to get the waitress’s attention, after waiting 10mins to order drinks.

Delicious food here. Not just your average run of the mill menu and who doesn't love pizza for brunch! Fresh, tasty and hearty food.

Very nice and spacious inside, very busy, which is good. Service is great, prompt and professional. Went for brunch, coffee was delicious, though the breakfast menu seemed a bit odd. Whether it was layout of the menu or the style of the food. Was difficult to choose from, nothing looked outstanding. Very appetising selection of baked products, which I only noticed when was leaving.

Great service, beautiful space, prices are a bit steep for standard lunch meals, there are a couple of low cost options but nothing in the in-between cost $14-17 range when I went. The staff always top up your water which is great. Would definitely return for weekend brunch or dinner.

Really good breakfast; had green eggs and the bacon was well cooked, the eggs had been fried crispy in some excellent fat, and the coffee was great. Accommodating of a baby (high chair etc) and plenty of space in a light, airy building. Would recommend as a brunch spot for sure.

Picked up the chicken sausage pizza and the chicken pie on a ravenous cold Friday whim. Pizza so good we inhaled half before enjoying the sumptuous chicken pie, the flavours, the herbs... the crusty yet melt in mouth pastry...sitting in at Loretta is even better

Already quite famous (and rightfully so!) for their seasonal brunch and dinner menus, which are always well executed and interesting. But I want to give a shoutout to their amazing bottomless drip coffee for only $3.50! Bring a book, pull up a seat sometime with a light breakfast or baked good and just unwind in the large, bright space. Love it.

Unfortunately underwhelming and overpriced. Home to the worst Portuguese egg tarts I’ve ever come across. Quite shocking when New World bakery does a better job at a tart. And before we start a flame war, the Portuguese egg tart is not whatever your baker thinks it is, it’s an actual thing from Portugal that needs to comply with a series of requirements. Same way you wouldn’t expect a deep fried pork chop in your coconut flat white, is what I’m saying. Lovely presumptuous atmosphere and low/no actual creative content. Great if you’re trying to prove you’re vacant but still want to spend heaps of money. On the positive side they do make a truly perfect cheese scone.

The service is great and the place is surprisingly big. I have been at all times of the day and every time it's been great. I will continue to come back

My favourite place for brunch in the city; with an amazing menu that changes with the seasons. I must've been here over 30 times and my food & drinks have always been exceptional. I highly recommend the croque madame and the crumpets! It's usually quite busy at the weekend and for good reason. The next time you're near Cuba street you should definitely treat yourself to a stop in Loretta.

Loretta's really puts in a lot of effort to serve a smaller variety of brunch dishes at a really high quality, often with a tasty, unexpected flourish. We really appreciated the extra care our server gave after seeing that our 2 year old was getting impatient - recommending that a scone would go down well and only take a couple minutes - a great idea!

Wellington has many choices to dine. We were overwhelmed reviewing online. So on arrival at our hotel (I.C) we asked the hotel staff for a healthy dinner recommendation. They suggested Loretta. So true to the recommendation that we found a fair amount of vegetarian options to balance all the food we had been eating on our honeymoon. And the quality just PERFECT. Highly recommend the Cauliflower. Snapper pie. Fish of the day which was also snapper. Staff. Attentive. Good service. Good level of engagement. Decor. Like a lot of places in NZ that we have been to, amazing. We went back a few times before we tried some other options as well.

We wandered in off the street because the menu looked good. Little did I realise we'd found one of the best restaurants in Wellington (so all the locals told me afterwards). The food was exceptional and I was impressed to see the menu changed and was printed daily (each had the actual date on the top of the menu). The wine list was outstanding. We ate far too much because we wanted to try too many things. Make sure you grab one of the salted caramels from the counter as you. If you've tried the French kind and like them, then you'll be a happy camper.

I usually have a great time when I come to Loretta and do enjoy their green eggs and more but unfortunately this time the staff weren't friendly and the food was far too salty - I ordered the porchetta, broccoli leaf, thyme, parmesan + buffalo mozzarella Pizza, I would give it a miss. Also the Banana Bread is more savory than sweet as it's very flaxseed based.

The service was quite slow and it took half an hour to get a coffee and about 45 minutes to get a croque madame. That said the waitress was apologetic about the delay and was super polite. The food itself was delicious though. Would give this place another chance.

Very much like it's sister restaurant Floriditas just down the road but the aesthetic is sharper and brighter. I found the table setup to be quite dense and the dinner service felt packed and loud. Staff seemed a bit rushed but were attentive. The food is a high-mark take on English fare and is priced accordingly with mains around $25 - $30. Good selection of wine and craft beer available.

Really nice food, cheese and biscotti followed by the rabbit risotto. Both were excellent. Nice selection of wine. Decor is a little bit odd, but the seating was comfortable and the staff are excellent.

Had a cute impromptu happy hour afternoon with the most welly experience I coulda dreamt of - 3 giant gusts of wind swept through the place during my stay: menus went flying, glassware crashed to the floor, curtains flinging everywhere. Fun ride and nice staff.

The food is really good but it's very pricey for what you get. They do an amazing job of combining seemingly random ingredients into a delicious dish, the only disappoint is that the portions are very small on the mains. The portions on the starters are actually fine.

Stunning pizza, sides and wine!

I liked the ambience of this place. Wonderful service with a smile and our food was delicious. The price was high for the amount of food served but this us probably the norm for a city restaurant. I appreciated that there wasn't too much noise in the background enabling good conversation.

I've been to Loretta for brunch and dinner. The menu changes daily and I've always enjoyed the options on offer. My most recent experience saw me enjoy grilled bacon and waffles, which were amazing. Can involve a wait for a table but recommend.

Best food we've had in a long time! The chicken pie was insanely good. Meal was so good we came back for breakfast the next day and were even more impressed, favorite restaurant in NZ by far!

Breakfast was great. As have been other meals here. Friendly quick service. Have been to Loretta several times and my only complaint really is that I can't get a large coffee. Their so-called large cup is the size of a regular cup elsewhere. As Wellington is known by many as the coffee capital of the world Loretta is behind the game with theirs. I'm not asking for a bowl ( although that would be nice) just a LARGE cup or mug.

We had the green eggs and ham and the haloumi salad with a bloody mary. The ham was so tasty and the sauce was so rich and tasty. The salad was also fantastic with the lightness. With the bloody mary and the salad, chilli is mentioned but needed far more of a kick to be noticeable. slight disappointment but didn't take away from the rest of the meal

Loretta's is our 'go-to' place on a Friday. My partner is a little more adventurous then I and has tried a couple of things from the menu .. as for me? Once I discovered the chicken schnitzel and farro salad I knew I had found my happy place. Erin and the team are always helpful even when things are busy .. and everything is consistent no matter when we dine. There's never the hard sell or up sale but I have to say that everything they have recommended has been delicious ..

Never disappoints! Pizzas are my favourite although notable mentions include the croque madame, salmon salad and clams. Breakfast is also fantastic, best wood roasted mushrooms I've ever had with nice seed breed. A word to the wise: they don't do scrambled eggs.

Had a good feed here. Was hard to stay away from the Rice and other Carb foods but managed to so so. There is plenty to choose from for those who enjoy the reduced Carbs, no Sugar, no Starch and no wheat foods. Prices for plates vary from 3.80 to 7.00 and you can order other dishes too. Will do it again.

I want to give this place 5 stars mainly because it seems like it just ought to get them. But there are a few nagging issues that persist that make this a 4-star place. First off - not able to scramble eggs? How is this even possible? You get your eggs the way they want to make them and no way else. So strange. It's breakfast, people. Then - not able to sell loaves of their bread? The bread is simply incredible (especially gf), and worth all the other other headaches, but it just seems like you could consider meeting the consumer where they are. The feijoa and apple gallet was a highlight of the meal and incredibly tasty. Ultimately the food is good and the service is helpful, polite, friendly, and efficient. It's just so weird to hear "no" so many times in one sitting (we got more "no's" than I'm detailing here). Hence, 4 stars. But this place should still be on your list. You'll be glad you gave it a try.
