Great atmosphere and lovely staff! We had oysters for starter and 4 other dishes, pulled duck, pork ribs, tuna and roasted baby carrots to share. Nice combinations of different ingredients, seasonings and herbs that you might find in different cuisines. Lovely experience in general. Will definitely come back :)

Excellent experience. Bar manager Jay is very knowledgeable with his drink and creates something amazing according to what you like, such an awesome dude! All staff are extremely friendly and super helpful, a special shoutout to our waitress Lola! Definitely our new favorite spot.

Such a stunning restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were so lovely and service was awesome👌. The food really did it for us though. I raved about it for days. Don't mind spending top dollar for a meal so deliciously tasting and beautifully plated. Both my husband and I had a wonderful night. Thank you.

I ate at the bar and all the food was recommended by the staff. They know what's great alright. They food was delicious just like I was getting at someone's home. It tasted like it was cooked with love. I definitely recommend eating here. Cocktails are on point and reasonable. The bar staff have awesome banter and make you feel like you could spend the night just sitting there watching and swapping cheeky comments. Haven't been to Wellington for a while but this place reminded me why I love it. Lulu's Bar food on point, fun environment with great staff and drinks.

I had a delicious food, a lovely music and A great atmosphere yesterday night!

Fabulous pre-theatre dinner at Lulu's. The maitre'd knew about an allergy in our group and checked that we knew which items on the menu to be aware of. Can never go past the smoked wood fired edamame, and the short ribs were melt in the mouth. Stunning meal, great attentive service and fab vibe.

If Rei performs again I will be there. P. S : Raspberry and coke made with real raspberries. Definitely a must try for the designated driver 😋👌🌟

We had our Christmas work dinner function here for 10 people. We were given the function room, and Lulu had set the table up brilliantly. The staff were on point, and service was excellent. Highly recommend the seafood platter (everything was fresh and tasty), the hei hei chicken bites, mango salad, salmon dish, and lamb shoulder with roasted potatoes (favorite dish of the night). We all were a bit disappointed by the Kokoda (wasn't the traditional Fijian dish which is divine by the way). Menu has a good selection of cocktails as well. A good experience all around otherwise, thank you team Lulu.

Wow! Best meal in Wellington in a Long time! Started with stunning cocktails that were lovingly prepared in front of us. Then to our table for a fantastic warm welcome and 4 amazing starters. Honestly if you dont try the edamame beans you are totally missing out. The coconut popcorn shrimp is worth the price of admission alone. Then we decided to share a yellow seafood curry. YUM! Bottom line just go here and try everything!

Nice bar and good food. Got asked to pay the bill while eating which was a bit awkward and a weird bouncer came at our table to ask if we were drunk and acted strange.

Always had a great meal here. The cocktails were a good starter and then the food arrived which completely ruled the conversation. Had the Lamb shoulder, the steak and cauli flower main. The taro chips were outstanding so was the Kumara with ginger. Finished off with the Pineapple dessert... oh my. This is going to take a lot, to replace this meal as the best on Courtney.

Have been 3 times over the last 6 months. I went on Saturday night with my daughter and the Manager recognised me (which I was amazed at). Maddie was so sweet and genuinely happy to see me. Previously, herself and Liv served me and were such fun and gave great service. The food is great and filled with salt, fat and comfort vibes. Good atmosphere, food and service = happy customer. We held a private function here. They offer a private room and you can choose to either have the bar music playing or play your own music. Leading up to the event and on the night of, the staff were extremely accomodating, friendly and very thoughtful (including fixing (without being asked to - thank you!) a chocolate topper on our cake that broke in transit to Lulu bar). The food is excellent - we had a mixture of the the small and large share plates and we enjoyed it all. I highly recommend Lulu bar if you're looking for excellent food and service. Thank you Lulu Bar for making this night a very enjoyable experience!

Fantastic service at Lulu Bar tonight! I came in after a hard day just for a couple of drinks and wound up having a great night chatting to some fun regulars and entertaining bar staff. Deborah was on the bar, she made me an incredible Whiskey Sour at her own recommendation which was obviously a fantastic choice. Madi was in the restaurant and even though she wasn’t serving myself, she still made time to have a chat that makes me want to come back again for dinner. A big shoutout to Olivia as well, she helped me make a selection on the wine list with her extensive knowledge. Go to Lulus! Great place, awesome staff.

Stopped in for a quick drink, the staff were quick to bring along water and drinks menu. Whilst a rum heavy menu, you can of course ask for standard cocktails. Will definitely stop by again!

A few friends and I popped in for a drink or two over the labour long weekend on a lazy Sunday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing service provided by Juliana. She made a couple of martinis based on a couple of questions and even whipped up new concoctions that were amazing. Hats off to a wonderful venue with a great staff member who knows how to engage customers and exceed their expectations. Would definitely come back and try my luck again.

Love, love, loved this place. Went there for my birthday, arrived early and was told that they were selling oysters at $2 for happy hour. Sharing platter dishes were awesome, my favourites were the steak and tuna poke. Customer service was top notch. Highly recommend!

Oh man, we just had the best night ever at Lulu! My friend has an abundance of dietary requirements and our host for the night, Juliana, was so kind and considerate. She came back with all the things that we could eat. Really, she was so good to us the whole night. Amazing service, DELICIOUS food (try the taro chips) and we will definitely be back!

Each meal was delicious but I had to take two stats off because it's extremely expensive for the amount you get on your plate. Like $16 for a microscopic piece of King salmon for instance. All flavours beautiful and leave you wanting more. It's not fair really and they must know it as you end up paying way more than you would like just to fill up your belly.

Great place with delicious food. We were a table of eight so we ordered some large plates to share so we could have a taste of everything. Loved all of it. Really good atmosphere. Definitely will be going back

I don’t normally write restaurant reviews, but this one is worthy. I came to celebrate our anniversary and Lulu gave us a true dinning experience. If you’re a meat lover, go for the special rib eye, it is to die for. Roy you’re in the right field! We love food and believe me Lulu will see us a lot more often. 5 stars!!!!

The service here is superb, friendly and helpful staff. The food (shared plates) and desserts I had were all delicious. They have an excellent range of cocktails, Kupe's Journey was a great tropical one that wasn't too sweet. Lulu Bar is a place I'd like to return to.

Went to the bar at 5pm on a Sunday and ordered two beers and fries, my friends and I being the only people in there, and the man serving us forgot the fries. He was very apologetic. When reminded and discounted our drinks, which was nice. The bar is beautifully designed, the outdoor courtyard is stunning, full of plants and well chosen materials. Had it not been for the forgotten fries this place would’ve been 5 stars!

The Male staff member that served us was so knowledgeable about where and how they sourced alot of there food and flavours.He even sat down with us to talk about all the Cocktail options he could make for us. We shared plates , too many to list. Absolutely delicious, and awesome Cocktails. The Conservatory area out the back blew my mind so Beautiful with all the hanging plants. We will be back next time!!!

Booked online for my son's 21st dinner celebration, found the staff very helpful and friendly on the phone. On our arrival staff were very welcoming and friendly, our family and friends were so relaxed and enjoyed ourselves from the start till end. We had four courses, yummy to the max, also special catering for our veg and vegan family, delicious food. The Volcano coctail was superb..very nice. We enjoyed the night so much with such Outstanding Food and Service! Thank you so much to the beautiful staff and management. Highly Recommend.

It was our first time visiting Lulu and it did not disappoint. We absolutely loved the food but just as amazing was the excellent service. Juliana was our waitress and she was exceptional.

If I could give this place six stars, I would. The crew are awesome, the place itself is exquisite, the drinks (and food) are amazing. Cool tropical vibes run throughout. A wider selection of craft beers would be nice but not a deal breaker.

Awesome place providing impeccable service with great island vibes reflected in the menu. Great for the rum drinker in your life with a huge selection as well as 3 different tasting flights to choose from. These each come with a mixture of an explanation of the history, namesake and flavours for a very cool experience.

Great cocktails and really enjoyed sitting in the interal court yard catching the late afternoon sun. It's a well presented venue, with great decor and vibe. Only downside on my visit was lack of staff, really only one bar man and he was working furiously to save clientele -- good for him but management could provide a few extra workers to help him out. Made a great long Island tea.

After a shaky start with some not very pleasant cocktails (we later learned the chap who made them was fairly new), we were really well looked after. We set up camp in the awesome courtyard and had delicious cocktails and snacks. Great vibe and good price. Thank you to whoever looked after us!

My new favorite spot! Super fresh oysters, lobster rolls and the most knowledgeable staff who make the best cocktails in Wellington. Great wine list. I can't wait to go back and try the suckling pig with a group when its available!

They have rum. I repeat, THEY HAVE RUM! Cute space with lots of indoor, outdoor and smoking options. Heated benches are a fantastic touch. Loved the small sharing plates although I'm not convinced that the plantains wasn't just green banana in disguise.

Our meals were really nice and to start with the service was very attentive. After a large group of rowdy corporate types ordered service became non existent. I completely understand how this happens when you're under staffed and felt some sympathy for our waiter. When asked how everything was when we paid I honestly said - your waiter could have done with some help - we were told it wasnt their fault and absolutely no apology. I felt this could have been dealt with a lot better as unfortunately it wasnt our fault either.....

I will be forever thankful to the friends who took me there! Do yourself a favour, and go. The cocktails are amazing, the food is fresh, original, and exciting, and the indoor/outdoor space is beautiful. Just go!

We loved the ambiance, the second person who served us was lovelier than the first. We would go again however I do have a suggestion. We were abit disappointed with the Fijian snapper kokoda, its meant to have coconut cream and the fish cooked by lemon citruses. It just was not really an actually Fijian Kokoda.

It was ok land roast was pretty good but the taste combos are a bit weird. But they match the theme. If pineapple mustard flavors do it for u this is the place for you. Service was a bit slow

If you go here and don't try the tempura Kumara then you have missed out. Cozy venue with a fantastic menu. What else is there to say?

Its was okay. The menu is supposed to sharing platters but wasnt really that big or served in a way where it could be shared.

The place is buzzing on the weekend and can get a little noisy if you are looking to catch up with someone but if you are here to catch a beer, you are in the right place!! We're also used it for our office parties and can easily host about 30 people! it is not the cheapest bar in town but certainly one of the good ones.

It's very typical of NZ restaurants to have poor customer service Lulu's isn't immune to this. Staff were unfortunately a bit slow. We were wrongly served, getting food we didn't order, and drinks mixed up. Otherwise amazing food and atmosphere. Almost prefect.

Made a super last minute booking online, arrived to Lulu's and I was blown away from the whole experience! Definitely somewhere I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for somethin outside of your normal sit down meal! The food was amazing! I recommend the Hulu Hulu Chicken! The staff recommended a beautiful wine that I would not have gone for due to my favorite being on the menu! Dessert was AMAZING! The whole atmosphere of Lulu's was great. The music was great (almost as if it was a personal playlist) and suited the venue. Props to the waiter from tonight (sorry not sure what his name is)!

Oceanic excellence. Good cocktails, a variety of foods from across Asian and Pacific Island flavours all brought together in a music filled room with a conservatory for drinkers. Staff are attentive and experienced in explaining the menu and how much is sufficient.

Came in last week with the wife and kids. absolutely PHENOMENAL experience!! Amazing food, stunning cocktails, and the staff were bloody FANTASTIC!. Looking forward to returning without the whanau to try another of Adams amazing drinks! Or 4!!! LOL

Interesting concepts and dishes but portions were rather small for the price point. Maybe more of a drinking sort of place. Great ambience though with Pacific inspired decor and great music.

I thought this place was going to be a bit "high brow" and pretentious like many of the new joints in Wellington, but I was delightfully proven wrong. The drink selection was tasty and plentiful and the two bartenders, Devan and Jonathan were attentive and friendly. Devan has an extraordinary handle bar moustache like the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. If the Duke had known as much about cocktail making as Devan does he might not have got shot. Jonathan he's one of the more useful Maori's (apart from rugby players) I've met. The way he handled a group of under dressed, not so subtle girls, is to be admired. A true gentleman. I'll be back.

Lulu is new. It's also utterly fantastic. Great staff, food, drinks. This has to be the very best fun place to be in Wellingtons Courtney Place. Super friendly. Outstanding. Best of the best interior decoration.

The bar is cool. The back bit is my favourite though. And you gotta love the Prosecco and oyster night. If you like rum this is your place

Amazing! Friendly bartender, tiptop staff, incredibly delicious and fresh seafood centered food! 😋 Comfortable Polynesian atmosphere that somehow doesn't feel corny or forced. 🌴 We will be back!
