Wonderful and staff so friendly! Give this little place a go!! Run by Vietnamese family. Everything we ordered was great!

Felt like soup so I looked up a place close to me and this was one of the higher rated soup places on Google Map (4.1 rating I think). So I decided to go. Service was good and fast. The food was average. The beef soup was ok and could have been more spicy and had more spicy flavour. I ordered the pork bun and it was too hot to eat as though it was reheated. Not made fresh? I’m not sure. but It was also average. A friend ordered spring rolls and couldn’t finish it.

Decent Pho served in generous sizes, and their other dishes are also really well done - good for a quick and easy meal that'll hit the spot. It's a nice and quiet spot, good for families or those looking for a quiet meal in the middle of a busy day.

Mid price but nice food! We really enjoyed that. The banh tam vermicelli noodle salad and the skewers are really good. My friend ordered a large noodle soup $18 and it was huge!

I would recommend Bee Bun, as well as spicy beef noodles for those who love super spicy (there's extra chili on the table for you to enjoy). Value for money

Food was ok and at a good price range. The place by itself looks like it needs an upgrade in general. They do have vegetarian options and the guy that took my order was really friendly. I will probably get back in some point to try their stir fried dishes. I saw several locals coming in and out for late lunch. My only “complain” is that usually with pho they give you a lot of veggies on the plate, I think they can improve by increasing the portions for the veggies at least 50% more.

Good food at a reasonable price, Ive had grilled chicken with rice and soup w spring rolls entree. All was pretty good. This place turned into my main and it's grown in me. I'd recommend the grilled pork chop w egg, delish

I just couldn't fault anything. The food was glorious and the pho had the perfect amount of spice. Our chicken curry was delicious and everything was so moreish. Had the Mekong spring rolls to start and they were crispy and absolutely delicious. Fully recommend this place... such good value for money as well.

Very nice atmosphere we ordered the beef combination pho and it was some of the best pho I’ve had in New Zealand. We also ordered the meatballs and Vietnamese iced coffee which were so addictive! I dream about their food everyday. Definitely worth a check if you love food :)

Ordered the beef curry as takeout and was totally blown away. Best takeout I've had in Wellington so far... The employees were friendly, the portions and pricing were reasonable and the food was full of flavor. I had ordered some chili oil on the side as I usually have to add it to get the food to the spice level I like, but this food had so much flavor that I didn't even use it. Can't wait to go back!

I love their Beef Pho! I can't get my self to order other things every time I go there, but friends/coworkers have tried other noodle and rice dishes. All were good. Be careful with the spice on the table though. They pack serious heat.

the best pho in Wellington region. Hands down. Order the large dish and 2 people will had a nice feed. you may want to order extra meat too. It is exactly what you need when you're craving pho.

Fantastic food with lovely stuff. Definitely the best pho I've had in Wellington. The spicy beef pho is very good, you can tell it's traditionally made Vietnamese food with high-quality New Zealand ingredients. Everytime I go there I live full and happy, the portions are very large for the price as well. I would highly recommend the spicy beef and meet ball pho.

If you wanted to travel to Vietnam, please make your way to Mekong Cafe and enjoy the flavors of the Mekong delta packed in each spoon of your meal. And, since you are there, make sure to made space to enjoy the autochthonous dessert, which was a sweet surprise to me that I can only recommend.

Anyone who knows the Wellington restaurant scene will know how quickly restaurants come and go in the capital. The reason that Mekong has lasted so many years is that it just sticks to doing the simple dishes well. The specialty here are the noodle soups and they are consistently good. No frills service, but in a small place like Mekong that's no big deal at all. It's the food that's the priority. Between Mekong cafe and Fisherman's Plate, Wellington is well serviced with excellent Vietnamese options
